We hadn’t realised that the tour didn’t include entrance and that was €24 extra per person. However, I have been to The Academy before and I learned so much more on this visit than without a guide last time. Ali, our guide, was knowledgeable, passionate and we thoroughly enjoyed our hour with him. Once the tour was over we could go back and revisit what we wanted.

There are hidden costs you were not told when booking. I had to pay an extra $20 Euros for the guide to let me in.
Also it was very difficult to locate the guide in the crowds.
Quite a shame, but they get away with it because of the huge number of people trying to visit the museum

Do not listen to their advisors. They will lie to make a sale then tell you that you can't cancel. I am still trying to get my refund from them for a ticket that I did not want to purchase.

Fascinating tour of Michaelangelo's mindset and works. First Sunday of the month is free thus no "skip the line" tickets.

We didn't know that the museum was free on the first Sunday of the month. Our tour guide was worth booking. He was very knowledgeable with photos. He didn't rush us and allowed time for questions/photos.

Taking an official tour of the Academia with the statue of David highlighted. is worth your time and money. Our guide gave us fascinating insights on how Michelangelo sculpted with great interpretation. It's an amazing piece of art!

As people that are not big into art this was a great short tour giving highlights of the museum and a brief history lesson on the art of sculptures. We went on a Sunday and did not need to pay admission fee. Our guide Aldi? (8.3.25 @1100) was great and talked about some of the fine details as well as damages we would have not known to look for or knew about.

Horrible. We were at the designated place at the correct time on the correct day and there was no guide. We eventually paid for another ticket and touted on our own.

This tour was advertised as skip the line tickets - yet we had to wait in the same line as other patrons. We happened to book this on a day with free museum entry. The only reason I booked it was to make sure I could see David. Yet I could have done that for free, and waited in the same line without the tour. The tour operator argued with several of us that the tour was NOT skip the line - however it is clearly marked in the description. Disappointed that I did not get what was advertised, and wasted money on a tour that I could have done for free that day.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns about the skip-the-line tickets. Please note that the tour itself was not free, while the museum entrance was free on that day. The museum entry was not included in the price you paid for the tour.
As we informed you the day before, on national free entry days it is not possible to skip the line. On the day of the visit, we also offered you a refund, which you declined and chose to proceed with the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ali! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, took his time explaining things, and answering our questions. We wouldn’t have gotten as much out of the museum if it weren’t for this tour. We were also lucky to be the only 2 in our group who showed so it felt very personal which was nice! Definitely recommend!

There is a bit of confusion on the meeting place and he did not wear ID lace or a flag to make it easy to identify that is he is the tour guide. Thankfully he answers our call and instructed us to proceed to the other meeting place. Tour guide is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and easy to understand. We enjoyed the tour.

You must get the history to enjoy it fully. Great guide to give us the city history along with the history of the artist. Viewing the David was amazing if only we were all in that kind of shape
