Super guide Anna made the whole thing very real. Superb Florentine History Lesson, Italian Language Lesson, Art Appreciation with full back story in every piece plus sculptures too. We beat the queues too! I just can’t imagine turning up and standing in 30degrees to get access and then have no guide. Really enjoyed the experience

The best way to see and learn the history. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. With so much to see she hit the high points and we spent another couple of hours on our own afterwards. There is also a rooftop garden and restaurant to takes a break. The communication pre tour was good with no problems finding the meeting spot. We are very pleased with the outcome.

This 90 minute tour was a perfect introduction to the museum. Our guide, Ana, was enthusiastic and an expert on the artwork. Her joy for the art and history made me more interested. She gave enough information about the renaissance movement that we could go through the rest of the museum with some core knowledge to guide us after the tour ended. Highly recommend! Thanks Ana!

Itinerary

Your small-group tour of Florence’s iconic Uffizi Galleries begins at a time that works best for you—choose from multiple convenient start times (and language options), and even upgrade to explore with only a private guide for company. You’ll meet at the ticket office just a block from the museum.

Our guide was very informative for sure. But a little too detailed in the painting that I lost my interest. By the time we got to see Michelangelo and da Vinci. I was checked out. Honestly, in my experience, I would’ve rather off the audio tour. We left the tour 3/4 in. We were in there almost 2hrs. She really was lovely and very knowledgeable.

This Uffizi gallery tour was canceled by Viator by my Guide telling me that because the air-conditioning system was not going to be able to handle the hot weather they were canceling. However, the Uffizi gallery website stated it was honoring tickets that were pre-purchased. Our tickets were purchased the day before the announcement of the cancellation and I have yet to get a reply from Viator about whether they are going to refund our money!! I am very dissatisfied with Viator. And, they kept pushing out messages to me about where to meet the guide the day of the tour, even though the tour didn’t happen. We went to the site, just in case they were still going to honor it and nobody showed up!

Tuscan history lesson.

I highly recommend this very informative and very relevant tour to the history of the Tuscany area and it’s connection to the papacy. Pam Massy was such a delight. She even saw the same Netflix series I did on the Medici’s. It was fun, her knowledge of the paintings and what they mean and the different styles and relationships of all the artists who are in the Uffizzi really made it an educational time.

Manuela Corsi was a wonderful guide. The museum is amazing and contains so many paintings. By giving us an overview of the history of Florence before taking us through the museum, she gave us a deeper understanding of how art was shaped as it evolved. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and also the artists as people. When the tour is complete you are free to stay in the museum as long as you like, which I also appreciated. I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide was Stephen or Stephan. He was excellent. He had great knowledge of the history and the individual art pieces and was also light hearted. You can tell he’s passionate about it given his enthusiastic nature. If you’re going to do the museum you are so much better off with a guide. It adds value to the visit.

Cancelled without Notice

The tour was canceled by the provider (not Viator) and I was not informed. I only found out by waiting at the meeting point only for nobody to show up. When I called support, the tour provider said an email was sent out, but upon checking I received no such email and it showed as occurring on schedule according to the app. A text or a call or them contacting visitor so they could update their end would have been a much more professional way of handling the cancellation. I lost my only chance at going to the gallery because I was only in Florence for the day and had other commitments. Very disappointing.

The tour operator was very unorganized. We had to wait 15 minutes after we entered the museum because she couldn’t count the eight people in our group and get them through security. She talked about things that weren’t interested. I’ve been to the museum with tour operator three or four times and got detailed information about the artist in the art she kept us in the hallway for a long time we hardly looked at any art we were looking at the ceiling and statues, and we saw the three main paintings that she thought we should see it was extremely hot and she might’ve been off, but I think it’s time for her to retire.

Cancelation of the tour left us without the experience

The event got canceled and we were not able to get an opportunity to enter into the museum. There were a few Viator tours around so we ask if they could call the operator to include us in the tour but they didn’t even tried . It was very frustrated

Do not use Viator in Italy

We booked this tour months ago. The tour operator never purchased the tickets ahead of time. Due to the extreme heat, the Uffizi stopped selling new tickets because of AC problems. Anyone already holding a ticket could go. We were told our tour was canceled, even though we booked it a long time ago. We had problems with every Viator tour we booked in Italy. We loved using it in other countries, however.

Your website gives conflicting information and does not respond to important questions in a timely manner and it is IMPOSSIBLE TO HET S HOLD OF ANYONE BY TELEPHONE. Our Uffizi excursion was cancelled at last minute and we did not get reimbursed. We were not given access to the tickets we had bought since no one showed up to the design spot where several of us in similar situation arrived on time despite the horrible heat. We are very disappointed and will not likely use you again.

Heat wave bummed us out

Due to the heat wave in Florence, our tour was cancelled. Since the museum was having aircon issues. We should receive a refund. I’m sure it would have been a great tour. After they sent an email to cancelled it, we received two emails to be there on time. I believe they were automated, but it was never really clear. I responded back to confirm cancellation, but never received a response.

Horrible Communication

Do not trust Viator. We got multiple reminders to be on time for our tour. We arrived early to find out it was cancelled. We called the tour operator and they told us. Nothing from Viator. BE CAREFUL! Later we learned there was a problem with the gallery AC so they were limiting tickets online but not in person. We stood in line to get tickets and saw the gallery without a guide. The tour guide did give us a limited explanation when we called but. NOTHING but misinformation from Viator. Gallery was amazing, especially the Carvaggio area at the end.

Tour guide canceled the tour few hours prior after initial confirmation message after the booking. Sent meet up instructions after cancellation notice which was very confusing. Ended up going to meeting spot and wasted time

AVOID!!!! They cancelled the tour which i found out when i showed up for the tour since they notified us via a cryptic same day viator app message . The contact person never picked up/went missing. They never bothered to email or text us about it. To make matters worse, the tickets to the museum (like to buy the general admission tickets) were completely sold out for another week meaning we were not able to visit this gallery at all. The least they could have done was ask if we wanted to be charged just the value of the ticket so we could use our reservation. Totally unprofessional and terrible customer service. Buy your own ticket direct through uffizi. (In advance) Don’t go through trip advisor or viator (use GetYourGuide instead if you need a your).

I'm really glad I did this tour. It was my first time visiting a gallery of such, and I was not disappointed. I only wish I had more time to explore because there was so much to see. The detailed explanation and history told by the tour guide was very helpful. Without a guide, you might end up just roaming around lost in the vast array of paintings and sculptures, unable to really appreciate what you see.

After taking this tour my wife and I vowed never to visit another art museum WITHOUT taking a tour. Unless you have studied up or have a degree in art history, it simply isn't possible to appreciate the art to its fullest extent without a guide. Our guide for this tour was a wonderfully informative expert in the museum and the history of Florence. She skillfully worked in details about the time period, the Medici family, and the art that we were viewing. Her pacing and level of information was perfect. We thoroughly appreciated all her insights and left with a deeper appreciation for Florence, the Renaissance, and the Ufizzi.

We enjoyed the tour overall and appreciated Bruce’s knowledge. However, he occasionally came across as condescending and insulting, which made some interactions uncomfortable. A more approachable and respectful communication style would have made the experience even better.

It was 100° that day. We went to the Ufizzi at 12 noon thinking we could escape some of the heat outside. Everyone else was thinking the same thing and it was very crowded. our guide was wonderful filled with enthusiasm and knowledge.
