It gives you an understanding of Renaissance art. Avoids wandering aimlessly and skips the huge queue. The guide was not only knowledgeable but passionate about the subject and ensured we were up close and personal to the individual works. With the huge crowds that proved invaluable.

Our guide, whose name escapes me at the moment - sorry - was EXCELLENT! Very knowledgeable, and very charming. She helped us see the art with new eyes, and we learned a ton. Thrilled that this tour was skip-the-line. Florence has become a very popular destination, and the Ufizzi is a MUST. This is definitely the way to do it.

Guided tour of the Uffizi and walk through the Varanassi corridor

    Robert_G, May 2026
This was a small group tour of the Uffizi gallery and walk through the Varassi corridor over the ponte vecchio. Michael’s was an excellent guide who was generous with his knowledge and both friendly and precise with his content. The tour touched on all the highlights of the gallery and left us feeling as though we had learnt much about Florence and its great artists. The walk also ng the corridor is a must do. Incredible to think this was were the Medici once walked too.

    Great for lovers of art

    Zane_D, Apr 2026
Duccio was incredibly knowledgeable about the styles and details of the art! The corridor, as others have said is really not worth the extra cost.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Ciao Zane! Grazie - really appreciate the feedback. Duccio will be happy to read this - he goes deep into the details, so glad you enjoyed that side of it. On the Corridor, fair point - it’s definitely a more niche experience. Some love the history and the unique passage, others connect more with the Uffizi itself. Thanks for sharing your perspective 🙏 John

    Great Day at the Uffizi

    Sharon_C, Apr 2026
Camellia did a great job. She was very personable and knowledgeable about the art and did a great job navigating the crowds with us. She made sure we saw the really important “musts” at the Uffizi and delivered us right on time for the Vasari Corridor tour,

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Grazie Sharon !! Camilla is great at navigating the chaos of the Uffizi while still making sure you don’t miss the key pieces. And timing the handoff to the Vasari Corridor properly is not as easy as it sounds, so glad it all flowed smoothly. Appreciate you sharing this 🙏 John

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Ciao Linda! This is great - thank you. You captured it perfectly: the Uffizi can easily turn into “walking and not really seeing.” Having someone guide you through it changes everything. And yes… being able to get close to the works *without* fighting the crowds makes a huge difference. Really glad you felt the guide’s passion as well - that’s what brings the whole experience together. Appreciate you sharing this 🙏 John

Hi! This is great to read - thank you. Don’t worry about the name, we’ll figure out who she is 😊 but I’m really glad she made that kind of impact. That’s exactly what a good Uffizi tour should do - not just show you the art, but change the way you look at it. And yes… Florence is busy, so skipping the line there is not a luxury, it’s survival 😄 Really appreciate you taking the time to share this - it helps a lot. Enjoy the rest of your trip! John

    Superb tour

    PeterAlexander_K, Mar 2026
We had a wonderful tour of the Uffizi, which gave us great background, history and stories about the collection.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Peter, Thank you for your kind feedback! We’re really glad you enjoyed the Uffizi tour and appreciated the background, history, and stories behind the collection - that’s exactly what we aim to bring to life. Hope to welcome you again in Florence! Warm regards, John Walks in Town

    Awesome and well-paced tour.

    Heidi_H, Mar 2026
Francesca was a great guide, the tour wasn’t long, but it was packed with local history and information about the development of western art. She kept my teen engaged and I appreciated seeing the development of perspective and subject matter from the 12th to the 17th centuries. The Vasari corridor add on wasn’t worth a the cost, but it did get us priority entry and saved 30 minutes entering the gallery.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Heidi, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the tour with Francesca - she has a great way of making the Uffizi engaging and accessible, even for younger visitors, so it’s wonderful that your teen stayed involved throughout. It’s also great to know you appreciated the artistic journey across the centuries - that’s exactly what we aim to highlight during the experience. We also truly appreciate your note about the Vasari Corridor. Expectations can sometimes be a bit different, as it’s not designed as a traditional gallery experience. The value of the access is more in the uniqueness of the passage itself and the fact that it allows a very limited number of visitors per day, with priority entry that helps avoid long waits at the Uffizi. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back in Florence in the future. Warm regards, John Walks in Town

    Excellent from start to finish

    AnneMarie_M, Feb 2026
Great tour. Exactly as described with clear WhatsApp messages on the day confirming meeting point, ID required and tickets for the corridor add on. Ivano was an excellent guide getting us in smoothly with effective head sets and delivering interesting details with great knowledge throughout the morning. The tour ended with us being dropped off to join the Vasari corridor walk over to Pitti Palace. Really great start to the day, thank you.

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks AnneMarie for sharing your experience! Thrilled everything went smoothly - clear WhatsApp messages, easy entry with headsets, and Ivano delivering great knowledge and details throughout the Uffizi. Awesome it kicked off your day perfectly with the seamless Vasari handoff to Pitti Palace. Thanks for sharing - it supports our small local team in Florence and helps others plan confidently. Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with us on Viator. 😊

    Great Uffizi Experience

    Barbara_A, Feb 2026
This guided tour made the museum visit so much more meaningful! Wandering on my own would have been just way too overwhelming. Deborah, our guide was excellent and was able to explain everything. Her observations made this tour a much richer experience. She didn't take us through the Vasari Corridor; we were under the watchful eyes of Uffizi staff for that. The corridor itself is plain and unremarkable except for one section with a collection of Roman busts. It opens into a courtyard of Pitti Palace.

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks Barbara for the wonderful review! We're so happy the guided tour turned what could have been an overwhelming Uffizi visit into a meaningful and richer experience - exactly what we aim for with our local experts like Deborah. It's great to hear her clear explanations and thoughtful observations brought the art and history to life for you. Appreciate your honest note on the Vasari Corridor too: it's a rare, exclusive passage, but the walk is indeed plain beyond the Roman busts section and the historic Medici views - most guests find the real value in the guided Uffizi portion. Thanks for taking the time to share - it really supports our small Florence-based team and helps other travelers decide if this tour fits their style. Hope your trip was full of highlights! Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with us on Viator. 😊

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks James for the great review! We're thrilled your guide was so passionate and delivered the best perspectives to really appreciate the Uffizi - making it feel fresh and engaging. Hearing you'd do it again is the highest compliment! Thanks for taking the time to share - it supports our small local team in Florence and helps other travelers discover experiences they'll love too. Hope to welcome you back soon! Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with us on Viator. 😊

Duccio and the Uffizi great - Vasari Corridor not so much

    David_R, Feb 2026
Duccio was one of the best guides we’ve had - and we’ve traveled a great deal. He gave us perspective on the artworks and artist that transformed our understanding of the many beautiful and famous paintings and sculptures. Specifically, he helped us view paintings from different angles to uncover hidden characteristics such as movement and focus. He tailored his commentary to our experience and perspective which further enhanced our time in the museum. Conversely- after we left Duccio we went on to the Vasari Corridor. While the story surrounding its creation is interesting, the experience of walking through it is not worth the price of admission. It is mostly a simple hallway with some views of the Arno. There is a long section with antique statues. The walk is escorted but there is no commentary. It ends at the Boboli gardens and unfortunately on a rainy day we had to walk outside all the way back to the Uffizi to collect our umbrellas - note they don’t allow long umbrellas in the gallery.

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks David for the thoughtful review! We're so glad Duccio delivered one of the best guiding experiences you've had - his tailored perspective on the artworks, uncovering hidden details like movement and focus, and adapting to your group's level really transformed the Uffizi visit. Praise like this means the world to him and our small local team. On the Vasari Corridor: We appreciate your honest feedback. While the walk itself is simple, what makes it truly special is its extreme exclusivity - only a handful of tickets are released daily, giving access to the private elevated passageway the Medici family used to move unseen between their palace, offices, and gardens. It's a rare glimpse into Renaissance power and privacy that most visitors never get to experience. Thanks for sharing your perspective - it helps our Florence-based team refine descriptions so future guests understand the unique historic value, even if the corridor isn't packed with "sights" like the gallery. Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with us on Viator. 😊

    Very good experience

    Peter_M, Jan 2026
The tour of the Uffizi gallery was very interesting and educational. Our guide, Francesca, was very knowledgeable and taught us much about the development of art over the relevant period. The visit to the Vasari Corridor was disappointing because there was little to see and the Uffizi guide provided little information.

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks Peter for the review! Glad Francesca made the Uffizi so interesting and educational - her knowledge of art history really shines and helps guests appreciate the development over time. Appreciate your note on the Vasari Corridor; it's a unique historic passage with Ponte Vecchio views, even if light on art/info compared to the gallery. Thanks for sharing -it supports our small local team in Florence and helps other travelers set the right expectations. Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with us on Viator. 😊

Difficulty getting to see the UFIZZI/ disorganized scheduling

    Mary_H, Jan 2026
The tour was supposed to be at 9am and we were supposed to be there at 8:45. The morning of the tour, an hour before , while we were eating breakfast and not looking at our phones, they sent a text changing the tour to 8:30. We almost missed it. My son was walking around early trying to kill time that we thought we had. I just happy to hear a guy calling out names and he started walking away. I called my son and he ran and caught up with us. We had a prior bad experience with the same exact tour. We signed up and paid for a 1pm tour on NEW YEAR’s day. We structured our day around it and we were excited to see the UFIZZI on our last day in Florence. When we got there we found out the tour was cancelled due to New Year’s Day as the museum was closed. We had to pay to stay another night in Florence in order to see it. They should know when the museum is open and not book tours on that day as it altered our plans and cost us money and time. The tour guide Ducho was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job, however, you had to keep an eye on him as he walked quickly and was easy to lose in the crowd.

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hi Mary, Thanks for your review. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the early text change (a small 15-minute shift to maintain our high standards with the best guide available) - glad you caught up and enjoyed the tour. It’s great to hear Duccio stood out as extremely knowledgeable and did such a wonderful job guiding you through the Uffizi - one of our very best in Florence! Regarding New Year's Day: Unfortunately the Uffizi is closed on January 1 (official holiday closure). Are you sure that booking was with us? If it was with another company, feel free to let us know the provider name so we can help clarify or point you in the right direction. Your feedback supports our small local team and helps other travelers plan better - thanks for sharing. Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with Viator. 😊

    Corinne_O, Jan 2026
Duccio was extremely knowledgeable. He hit the highlights of the Uffizi but also pointed out hidden gems we would have missed on our own. The Vasari Passage was kinda cool and offered unique views of the Ponte Vecchio and chapel, but not necessarily “worth it.”

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thanks Corinne for sharing your experience! Delighted Duccio could showcase the Uffizi highlights and those hidden gems for you - his knowledge really shines in spotting the details most miss. Appreciate your balanced take on the Vasari Corridor too; the unique Ponte Vecchio views and historic feel are special, even if it's not everyone's highlight. Thanks for sharing - it really helps our small local team in Florence and guides other visitors in deciding what's right for them. Hope your trip was full of great moments! Best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for booking with Viator. 😊

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hi Charles! Thank you so much for the glowing review – it really brightens our day! 😊 We're delighted to hear that Michaele hit all the right notes: smart, insightful, concise, and full of local knowledge that helped you learn so much about the art. The Uffizi can be overwhelming, so having a guide like him make it wonderful and "very cool" is exactly what we aim for – especially with that special Vasari access thrown in! We'll pass this along to Michaele; he'll love knowing his insights made such an impact. Thanks a million for taking the time to share – reviews like yours are gold for us and for future travelers. Hope your trip keeps being amazing, and we'd be thrilled to welcome you back for more Florence magic anytime! Cheers, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for choosing us on Viator! ❤️

Italy with our mothers our stop in Florence

    Anne_P, Nov 2025
Visiting the Uffizi with Michele was an incredible tour! The cooridor was neat to do, but going through the gallery with him was the highlight of our day! I highly recommend his tour!

    Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hi Anne! Wow, thank you for such a heartfelt review – reading about your time in Florence with your moms really warmed our hearts! ❤️ It sounds like Michele nailed it: the Vasari Corridor sneak peek was fun, but having him guide you through the Uffizi's masterpieces made it truly unforgettable. We're so happy that became the absolute highlight of your Italy trip – those multi-generational moments are what make these experiences magical. We'll make sure Michele sees this; he'll be beaming! Huge thanks for the strong recommendation and for sharing your story – it means the world to us and helps other families discover something special. Wishing you and your moms many more incredible adventures together. Come back to Florence anytime – we'd love to show you more hidden gems! All the best, The Walks in Town Team Thanks for choosing Viator! 😊

A rushed Uffizi experience combined with unguided Vasari corridor.

    Dimitrinka_R, Nov 2025
This tour had two parts - the Uffizi and the Vasari corridor. The guide we had for the Uffizi was very knowdegeable and engaging. However, the tour through the Uffizi was rushed because we had to be at the Vasari corridor at a particular time (*and were not allowed to enter back into the Uffizi). Furthermore, our guide took us only as far as the entrance to the Vasari Corridor. From there an escort took us through the corridor but provided absolutely no guidance or information (which was very disappointing). There were others in the corridor who had their own (private) guides and it was clear that they had a much better experience. If I were to recommend anything to others it would either be to not book the Vasari corridor or to get a private guide.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you for your feedback, Dimitrinka. We’re glad you enjoyed the Uffizi with your guide. Just a small clarification for future visitors: our Uffizi portion is 2 hours (longer than the standard 1.5h most operators offer) and follows the museum’s own recommendation for covering the main masterpieces. A full, artwork-by-artwork visit isn’t possible — a known study shows that even at 1 minute per piece, it would take several full days. Re-entry isn’t permitted due to Uffizi security rules (one ticket = one access). Regarding the Vasari Corridor: only private licensed guides accompany guests inside, which is why escorts cannot provide much commentary during the passage — our guides give the historical context beforehand. The corridor is not an art gallery but an architectural passage built by Vasari for the Medici to walk privately from the Uffizi to Pitti Palace, and should be approached differently. It’s also extremely exclusive: only around 450–490 people per day can access it, compared to the 15,000–19,000 visitors entering the Uffizi daily. Private tours certainly offer more time and flexibility, but they operate at a much higher price range (€250–300 pp for 3–4 hours), while this option was €129 pp (semi private group of max 9 persons). Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. John – Walks In Town Team

    Excellent tour of Uffizi...

    Christopher_C, Nov 2025
Excellent tour of Uffizi museum. We were a little disappointed with the Secret Vasari Access. Nothing much to see.

    Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you, Christopher. Happy you enjoyed the Uffizi tour. We understand the Vasari Corridor can feel different than expected — it’s not an art gallery, but an architectural passage created by Vasari for the Medici to walk privately above the city from the Uffizi to Pitti Palace. The approach to visiting it should be different: it’s a historical walkway, not a museum space, and today only around 450–490 people per day can access it compared to the 15–19,000 entering the Uffizi. Walking it is a rare chance to experience the same route the Medici used 500 years ago. John – Walks In Town Team
