This was an absolutely brilliant guided tour. Stefano, our guide was so knowlegable and passionate about the Statue of David that he really brought it to life for us. This was a relatively short tour but definately worth it. Highly recommended

Suprise

Renee_T, Mar 2026
This was booked to get through the long lines. Our guide was an unexpected surprise. She was very engaging, extremely informative even on things i was unaware I was interested in. This is a must do tour.

Skipping the line was...

Jeffrey_H, Mar 2026
Skipping the line was 100% worth it and Martina was an awesome guide really gave great perspective. I would highly recommend!

Easy to get the tickets and tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. I totally recommend this tour.

Excellent guide

Steven_B, Mar 2026
Very knowledgeable guide. Great personality. She made the experience very informative with history and background. The lines were a disaster and this is considered before the season. Skipping the line with this tour was worth the price all by itself

Really interesting experience!

Rebecca_P, Mar 2026
Very knowledgeable guide, friendly & funny - Martina (?). Really enjoyed her background before we stepped through much of the artwork & statues.

Excellent, highly recommended

Patti_F, Mar 2026
Guide was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour. Guide was also friendly and allowed time for questions.

Not just David

Mary_E, Mar 2026
Great guide...Martina knew her art and her language fluency was excellent. Great information about Michelangelo as a sculptor

Nice tour of Uffizzi

Mike_A, Mar 2026
Very nice tour of the museum and great information provided by our guide Deborah. The Vasari corridor was interesting and fun to walk above the Ponte Vecchio

Small museum tour

Paola_T, Mar 2026
Martina our tour guide was an artist her self, that gave us the opportunity to get a lot of good information about the art we were looking at. The museum itself is very small, but the art inside makes it worthwhile

Great way to experience Michaelangelo's David

Pat_G, Mar 2026
This is a must excursion to do. It wasn't too long and you got to see the Statue of David museum, but our tour guide showed us other parts of the museum as well, such as the musical instruments as well as the other types of art. Granted museum is based on the Statue of David and its experience. Seen the real thing and I forget the tour guy's name. She was amazing because her enthusiasm and passion for Michelangelo and a statue of David made this a very memorable experience. And the tour isn't too long. It's a little bit over an hour but it's well worth it

Highly Recommend Tour

Can be quick or also last an hour plus. Based on your preference. Great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable!

I do not recommend

Nancy_L, Mar 2026
I thought we were getting a guided tour of the Accademia Gallery. Instead, after entering we were given a 45 minute lecture, using an I Pad, about Michelangelo's works, most of which are not in the Gallery.

Pam was our tour guide...

Greg_P, Mar 2026
Pam was our tour guide and she did such a great job tour us around! I would highly recommend! Everyone in our group really enjoyed the tour.

Impressive

NICOLETA_c, Mar 2026
Nice experience. Good value for the money. Go for the morning tickets, it is less crowded. We had a great guide Martina.

Perfect 1 Hour Tour - Highly Recommend

Sarah_L, Mar 2026
Every bit of Marina’s tour was engaging. We moved at a perfect pace and learned a lot about art. Held my teen’s attention!

guided tour not necessary

Christine_L, Mar 2026
What could have been a 30 minute tour was stretched to over an hour. The guide only discussed the sculptures and didn’t discuss the other art (although it is a very limited museum).

The guide was not there...

Kim_P, Mar 2026
The guide was not there when we arrived - had to confirm with other attendees that we were in the right place. Guide didn't arrive until exact time of the tour which was a little odd. Once inside, the guide was very knowledgeable. HOwever, she spent most of the time talking about and showing us pictures of art that was not even in the Accademia. We would have preferred the guide show us and discuss the art that was right in front of us.

Wonderful experience

ZULFIQAR_D, Mar 2026
I had no idea about this tour, but I can safely say that it was an exceptional experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable. She taught us so much. Highly recommend her.

David

Joanne_A, Mar 2026
Our guide was very knowledgeable anout the subject matter, David, and also Italian history. She was very proud of her city and all the different cultural experiences one could have. She engaged us with question and interesting facts. I highly recommend this tour.

Most enjoyable

Jacquie_K, Mar 2026
My tour guide was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. The tour focus is on the David. The time spent describing David and his history was very good.

Good way to see David!

Brian_R, Mar 2026
Martina was a very good guide. She was informative and funny. You could see the museum without a guide but hearing get information made it so much better.

If I could leave zero stars I would.

Hannah_H, Mar 2026
I had a very disappointing experience with this tour. Like several other reviewers mentioned, I was contacted at the last minute and asked to change both the time and day of the tour. Unfortunately, we had already planned the rest of our itinerary and couldn’t accommodate those sudden changes. Because we couldn’t adjust our schedule, the tour provider canceled the tour on their end. However, they never reported the cancellation to Viator. That meant I had to spend extra time contacting Viator myself and provide proof that the tour provider had canceled it. To make matters worse, the tour company only offered a partial refund and wouldn’t even specify the amount they planned to refund. The whole process felt disorganized and unprofessional, and it created unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. Based on this experience, I would not recommend booking this tour. If plans change on the provider’s side, they should handle the cancellation properly and communicate clearly about refunds instead of leaving customers to sort it out themselves.

Good way to see academia

John_E, Mar 2026
Great tour. Martina was very funny and knowledgeable. David was so coooooolllll everyone should go see it in Florence

Meeting David

Christine_M, Mar 2026
Martina was a great host. She was very knowledgeable as well as funny! The statue of David was worth seeing. Highly recommend.

A Must-Do Experience to See David in Florence

Daycha_G, Feb 2026
We had a wonderful experience on this Accademia Gallery tour. Our guide was a very kind Italian gentleman who was extremely informative about Michelangelo’s David and guided us smoothly through the highlights. Entry was easy and well organized, especially during low season, and we truly enjoyed the visit. Seeing David is a must when in Florence, we highly recommend this tour!!

Worth it!!!

Lesa_H, Feb 2026
Martina was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about art and the museum, gave us a much-appreciated mini art appreciation course. Of course, the Statue of David was the star of the show, or maybe that would be Michelangelo. Seeing the masterpiece live will forever be my highlight of my Florence journey. Thanks Martina for making it so interesting!

Great

Joshua_B, Feb 2026
Did a private tour with three kids. A little late getting started, but the organizers were very communicative and made every effort to make the rest of the process seamless for us. Manuela was a fantastic guide with a lot of knowledge and passion for Michelangelo and kept our older kids engaged the entire time. Her explanations of the sculptor’s process were very well received, as was the history she provided framing his life and its influences on his work.
