Highlight of my Italian trip

Oh where do I begin? I’d say it was absolutely amazing and beautiful. It was a bit tricky navigating to the meeting point initially, but I got there. I’d advise when you get to the other exits at Garibaldi Station, search for the Briccocafé so it’s easier to get there. Now the trip. Mara was very lovely and gave really good commentary on the history of the prime areas, buildings and people that helped shape Italy and Milano. We were briefed on what was going to take place in the day, what to expect and some recommendations on the areas we were visiting. Como? Bellagio? Lugano? It’s better in person. The pictures, videos and all you’ve seen online don’t do them justice. The green rolling hills with the clear fresh water lake mirroring the green hills are just something to behold in person! And this tour provider did justice to that! We went past the George Clooney villa and other really popular villas in Como. In bellagio, visit the giardini di villa melzi. Entry €10 but you’ll love it! I promise! You’ll be well taken care of is what I’m saying. And if you’re going solo, open up and you might meet some lovely people you could share perspectives and a plate of pizza with 😁.

Amazing tour guide who will give great information but also personalize the tour to your needs

We had an amazing time on this tour! Frencesca, the tour guide, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and personable!! We enjoyed spending the day with her immensely. The tour was small and avoided crowds and the busier places. It felt like we got a more personalized tour and appreciated her firsthand insight as someone who lives in Lake Como. She was great at giving us information but also giving us time to explore how we wanted to. The ability to swim at the beach in Lake Lugano was our favorite part of the trip!! Bring some water shoes because it's rocky, but it was stunningly beautiful. This tour was the highlight of our trip!!

I did not have a lot of time at Lake Como, but I did want to get out on the water. I decided to do the one hour shared boat tour and it was wonderful. Easy to find and check in process was smooth. The meeting place can be hectic, with numerous buses leaving at the same time. Arrive early and make sure you know the name of the tour provider. The actual tour is great, the guide and driver were excellent. The city of Como is a delight, and the boat ride on Lake Como is a "must do."

Better than 5 Stars - ask for Stefano!

Stefano was our guide, he was flexible from the start, we changed our pickup location to our hotel dock and it was so easy to contact him. The boat was beautiful and Stefano was knowledgeable and entertaining, we especially loved hearing about his local knowledge and family history (they have lived on the lake for 7 generations). He provided great blend of history, local knowledge and a bit of fun anecdotes about celebrities. Bonus - he speaks 7 languages!

A Highlight of Our Entire Italy Trip

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without a doubt, this was the best boat tour we have ever done. My family and I had an incredible experience, and a huge part of that was Matteo. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about Lake Como, its history, and the beautiful villas along the shore, but he was also one of the kindest and most welcoming guides we’ve ever met. My mother had actually never been on a boat before, and Matteo made her feel completely comfortable and at ease. He was patient, friendly, and genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time. We also had a few transportation issues and arrived later than planned. Despite our delays and all the back-and-forth communication, Matteo was unbelievably understanding, flexible, and accommodating. He treated us with so much kindness and patience, which we appreciated more than he knows. The scenery was breathtaking, the boat was beautiful, and Matteo’s passion for what he does truly made the experience special. It never felt rushed, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time. Out of all the tours we have done during our travels, this was our favorite. If you’re considering a boat tour on Lake Como, stop looking and book this one. You will not regret it. Thank you, Matteo, for giving our family such a special memory. I cannot recommend highly...

I cannot recommend highly enough the 4-hour private Lake Como tour. It was such a special experience to be able to enjoy such stunning location and have the flexibility to visit charming Bellagio and Varenna as well, without fighting the crowds on the larger ferries. Our guide Frederico was absolutely wonderful and expertly navigated around the lake to show us breathtaking historic villas and hidden gems, and shared fascinating local history along the way. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Lake Como I would not hesitate to take this tour again.
