Our Guide was phenomenal- I don't remember her name it started with a G, maybe Gladia - She gave so much helpful information and was incredibly interesting. Getting our tickets was complete chaos and the gentlemen that gave us our tickets were confused. To be fair it was madness because it was pouring rain, but the tickets should have been given in a plastic bag to keep dry, and they sent people to the wring line!!

More expensive than the regular tickets but we really liked our tour guide (can’t remember her name but referred to David as her boyfriend). We had to re-book this last minute and it was super flexible. Would recommend! Statue of David was more impressive in person than we had expected.

“Jump the line” is a little misleading. While it’s no fault of the guide, we were scheduled to enter at 10:55, but didn’t enter the museum until 11:35. Something to keep in mind when planning your visit. Our guide gave us the background of Florence and David while we waited in line, and gave us more details on the other works of art in the Gallery.

Well worth the money for a private guide to skip the crowded lines and learn the details of the Medici family’s influence on Florence. Our tour guide, Rosa was delightful and well educated in Renaissance art. She took us to the small chapel area where many of the family’s musical instruments were on display. The Stratavari violin and cellos were outstanding. But of course, the highlight of the tour was an up close and personal viewing of the David. She pointed out many obscure details of Michelangelo’s work and signature style. Thank you Rosa for sharing the information in such a thoughtful and fun way. We truly enjoyed your tour!

Alfonso was an excellent tour guide through the museum. We learned so much about Michelangelo and his style of sculpting. Alfonso brought great detail into the museum that we would have never known. We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of the Accademia. Our guide Antonio was so knowledgeable about this magnificent historical site. He led us through the instrument room first to show us violins from the 1600s. He then explained a few of the spectacular paintings on the walls. All leading up to Michaelangelo's David. We were awestruck when we walked up to the room where this massive work of art was. Antonio went into so much detail about David; we felt like we had so much insight in just a short time. This was an enjoyable activity due to Antonio's way of describing these amazing sites. We highly recommend this tour.

Absolute SCAM! We arrived on time, were given head sets and 5 minutes later told the museum had cancelled the tour, which was not true. The museum was letting people in. We demanded an explanation and all they said was "tour cancelled". These people are the worst! No explanation, no apologies, nothing. DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE. They should not be allowed to be on Viator. They oversold the tour and when we all showed up came up with the lame excuse that the museum had "cancelled". This tour operator isn't up to european standards. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!

However, we would like to clarify that the tour was not cancelled due to overselling, as stated in your review. On that day, due to severe weather conditions and major operational delays at Galleria dell'Accademia, the scheduled skip-the-line system was no longer functioning as expected. While visitors were still being admitted into the museum, entry times had extended to approximately two hours, including for priority-access reservations.
As a company, we made the decision not to proceed with a premium skip-the-line service that could no longer be properly delivered under those circumstances. Instead of asking guests to wait in extremely long lines despite having paid for priority access, we chose to cancel the experience and issue full refunds immediately.
We understand your disappointment, but calling the experience a “scam” after receiving a full refund is unfair and misleading. If our intention had been dishonest, refunds would not have been issued immediately to all affected guests. Our team worked under difficult conditions and acted in what we believed was the most honest and professional way possible.
Unexpected weather conditions and museum operational decisions are unfortunately outside of our control, but protecting the quality of the experience and treating guests fairly will always remain our priority.
We sincerely regret that the experience did not go as planned and appreciate your understanding.

The tour got cancelled last minute. We were already waiting for the guide at the given adress. The moment it should have started we were told that it was cancelled due to the fact the museum took all the tickets back. We could get a refund or reschedule. We were leaving that evening so a reschedule was not possible for us. All the regular tickets were already sold out..

Terrible experience! I got a call 10 minutes after my tour was scheduled that they didn’t have tickets for me and I could reschedule for the next day. I declined and asked for a refund because obviously the same thing would happen the next day. Buyer beware! Travelers Tours canceled our ticket at the exact time we were meeting for our tour. The messaging was because of the museum. I believe it is because the operator did not secure the tickets. Buy directly through the museum and not Viator.

There was a loud buzzing in the mechanism the guide was using. It was very distracting and made it hard to hear the guide. Added to that he had a totally monotone voice, it was like it wasn't invested in the tour. I would not recommend.

Viator changed the time of our tour to a later time. We were unable to attend due to other obligations. Viator informed us of the change to our tour by email. I replied that we would not be able to attend and requested a refund. I have not heard anything from them until I received this request to provide a review. Guess I can kiss that money goodbye.
