This was a very friendly and informative trip. My husband and I are not the most experienced wine connoisseurs, but this helped us learn what it’s all about. The tour guide Ginevra was fantastic. She tried making it a fun and low key event. Not “uppity” or “snobbish”. She had some fun jokes and tried to engage everyone. Today my husband tried wine for the first time and truly was served several different options to find what he would enjoy! Couldn’t have asked for anything better on our first day.

In the spring, be prepared for cool to warm weather. Get a cappuccino and cornetto from the food station before your departure, so yummy! Wear sunblock is you don't want a little sun kiss. Bring a collapsible shopping bag over a backpack. Have a few 1€ coins for public toilet. Don't forget to get the train ticket package. Be willing to put your toes in the ocean. Buy the scarf or linen outfit. The train experience was such fun! If you get Jon Marco, you won't be disappointed! When you return, the taxi stand is just in front of the train station, so convenient!

No Frill, Just Enjoy!

You can stay back and relax in this entire experience without worrying the sightseeing and transportation arrangement. Everything is well-panned by City Wonders. Mr. Nathan Smith, the tour leader is awesome! He brought the group to specific spot places which could capture good photo shots and shared tips on photopgraphy. I would highly recommend this tour!

Wine tour

It was very nice. The tour guide told stories about the area while driving. It was an hour and a half ride out but she only talked at the beginning giving people time to enjoy a quiet ride. The wine locations were very nice. The host at Grace winery did a fantastic job telling about the vineyards and wine business. And I loved the set up in both locations where they did the tastings.

Great tour (but lack of accessibility)

As a family, we loved the tour and found our guide (Olga) to be very well informed, interesting and entertaining. We learnt a lot and enjoyed the experience. My husband, however, struggled with the fact that the speaker/headphone system was not compatible with his hearing aids and so he was unable to hear what Olga said. This was frustrating because I know that he would have loved to learn all the information about the pictures we saw, as well as the lives of the Medicis and artists. It was sad that the tour was unable to accomodate this issue; this lack of accessibility must surely have come up before?

Our bus driver Leo was fantastic and gave us a little history about the Tuscany area and Chianti. The three wineries were all slightly different and the folks there were also very lovely and gave us tons of info and answered all questions. Definitely do a full day tour if you have the time!

I was skeptical of a trip...

I was skeptical of a trip that took the entire day, but this specific outing was as full as it could be. We chose the option without the guide in Siena which was perfect for our specific needs on our pilgrimage. The stops at the winery and San Gimigiano were the perfect complement to a great trip. Easy half day tour of Cathedral and tower of Pisa

After meeting our guide it was a seamless experience traveling by bus and then walking to the town square of Pisa. The cathedral was breathtaking! Our guide even had storage lockers preserved for our bags while we climbed the leaning bell tower. We had adequate free time to continue exploring on our own and to take more pictures. We arrived on schedule back to Florence. Highly recommend for a half day trip from Florence!
