Quite the experience! We had great assistance from the tour guides from making sure we were in the right place to sending us on our ascent to the top of the dome. It was well worth the climb of 400+ steps but I would caution that it’s not an easy climb and the way down isn’t much better! We also have the opportunity to see the other sights for three days which is nice to break the tours up.

honestly, I don’t really think my opinion counts. It just wasn’t anything that I thought was spectacular. I did see a church in Granada Spain that blew my socks off. This one came nowhere near it.

Very difficult to hear because of the amount of people in the church and the acoustics plus the guide had a very thick accent

Short 30 minute tour of inside of Duomo. Skip the line access was great since the regular line wrapped around the cathedral. Ticket included dome climb, bel tower, opera, archeological site downstairs, and baptistery. Don’t miss opera museum. Many treasures inside in closing the actual baptistery doors—the ones in the baptistry are now replica. Our tickets were good for 3 days after tour and climb (those had to be done on day of ticket). No restrooms inside the cathedral.

We enjoyed climbing the Duomo and having skip the line access. The cost was quite high though for what it was. Also it seemed like too many intermediaries were a part of the situation which created confusion in the meeting spot. Cityscape Tours met us but Viator wad involved in our ticket purchases. The Viator confirmation email had an incorrect meeting spot in the link which created some scrambling. I feel like we really overpaid for the experience at $400Euro for four people. Our time with the guide was good but brief. All in all the experience was good and we enjoyed the activity. The price was juat too high for what it entailed.

The only positives were skipping the long lines and enjoying the beauty of the cathedral. Our tour guide did not provide a whole lot of detail or interesting facts about the history or artists. One person who was touring provided us with more information than the guide. There was no access to below the Duomo or the museum. Would recommend booking another tour to include that.

We were able to skip the line to view the inside of the Duomo and the climb to the roof of the Duomo, but everything else included with the experience had a line you had to wait in. The guide was good, but gave basic information about the construction and history of the Duomo. The 30 minute tour is spent entirely in the Duomo and then you are free to do the roof climb and view the other buildings and viewing areas around the Duomo. The experience was worth the price as you could skip the lengthy line to see the Duomo and the roof climb and you could see all the other areas within 3 days time from when you received the tickets.

Our tour guide was great it just was not what we were expecting. when it says option for dome climb, we assumed we would be able to do that for a fee. It was not an option. We also thought we were going to get into the museum but it was another small one that we could go to not the dumo one. So did not get to see or do what we had on our list to see.

We walked around the building for 25mins because our tour group was so difficult to find. It was also pouring rain. Once inside the tour guide we could not hear what she was saying about the frescos and the dome- many in the group just sat down stating I see this is self guided. Once she was done we were escorted to the walk the dome line which was amazing. Due to the herding to the climb we never able to see the rest of the building as the dome exists you to the outside.

After arriving at the meeting point we were taken to meer our guide and enter the Duomo. We entered the Duomo but no guide in sight, another guide showed up an tried to gives us a talk about the Duomo, but there was no audio equipment, and with construction noises It was difficult to hear anything. After 20 min we told we could walk to the top of the dome by ourselves.

The Duomo tour was fantastic and super informative. Moved at a good pace to keep things moving but also get you through seeing the highlights and takimg pictures. The optional dome is a hike. 463 stairs and a tight climb but the payoff is huge. Amazing views even on a very rainy day. Just be ready to climb!

This is a very quick intro to the Duomo. Unfortunately we arrived on Sunday when the church was closed so did Baptistery and Museum then. This allowed us to complete the set. Dome was not available, sold out months ago.

We had a 10a Duomo tour w/the climb up the Dome. It was a fantastic little tour of the main church. A service was being held so it was beautiful & serene to be inside hearing the chanting by the priest. The tour was short but packed w/a lot of information. We then climbed to the top & were able to be outside on the cupola overlooking all of Florence. It was a fantastic view! Worth the burn on the legs climbing all those stairs. Watch your head & be careful in both directions. Highly recommended

This was a guided tour inside the Duomo. The hard part was to find the meeting place. The redemption point said to meet at Piazza del Duomo 19. First we went to an entry that said "tour Groups" but we're turned away. Then we went to the other side of the Duomo and asked at another entry point. A man was kind enough to lead us across the street to the Museo Della Misericordia. If I hadn't kept asking people, we never would have found the meeting point. Once inside the Duomo it was hard to hear our guide speaking above all the other noise. She was very nice but seemed frustrated.

Well worth the cost - time is money ... and you'll stand in line for hours if you do this on your own. Quick, informative tour inside the Duomo (which is fairly plain, compared to the exterior) followed by the 463 step climb to the top of the Duomo. The views are unparalleled once you get there. We are in our mid 60's and had no problem. The climb is slow paced and you can stop for a breather at any time if needed. They give you plenty of time to make a full spin around the exterior for photos and videos. A bucket list item on any Florence visit.

An interesting short tour of the inside of Florence Cathedral. The guide was excellent in explaining the history and her English was very good. She answered all our questions clearly and gave us some great detail regarding the interior of the Cathedral, which is significantly less ornate than the exterior facade! The tour was about 30 minutes and well worth it if you are interested in history.
