Somewhat Confusing

The museum was amazing. The audio tour was a bit confusing as it did not tell about every room and skipped from display to display. That being said the information on the audio was very informative.

The ticketing was easy, although don’t forget the aviator ticket is not the actual ticket and we had lots of problems with the audio hide. Use one from the Uffizi instead.

No advantage that I can see to book here unless admittance is sold out on Uffici site. The audio guide is app based and very incomplete and not up to date.

Not skip the queue

I am sure the chances of getting in without a ticket bought in advance are slim to none however the ticket should be renamed 'advance' ticket not skip the queue. Massive queue taking ages until you actually get in. You are then faced with a very busy gallery with further queues to see some exhibits. Also faced with lots of people more concerned about their social media channels etc getting the perfect video/pics etc i.e. obvious to others and just standing in the way. Yes some lovely works of art but overall felt disappointed. If you like to stand around in queues then highly recommended.

Confusing audio guide instructions.

The gallery was fine but instructions on the audio guide were not clear. I got over there in the line and asked about the audio guide and they told me they had no wifi to be able to download the guide so I had to rent one there which was an extra 6 Euro.

Poor communication re : obtaining tickets

I was not provided with adequate information regarding: ticket pick-up. Only upon chatting with Viator did I receive such information. Viator representative was not readily visible at site. As a result, I had to purchase tickets again at a cost of 50 Euros. One hour after my appointed time, I received a man email from Viator with directions and attached tickets. Once again, the only information sent to me prior to appointed time was a voucher with no tickets attached nor clear directions as to where Viator representative would be. Very frustrated and disappointed, especially as all other tours booked with Viator were wonderful!

Very misleading for the money. We did not have an audio guide. Please read all the information before paying the money for this offering. Usually we have very good experience with Viator.

To get to the top floor the 4 flights of stairs can be tough. There is an elevator. The views from the top floor are beutiful. Absolutely packed with art. Take your time. Audio tours are really helpful.

I could not download the tickets in the app. I kept getting sent in a circle— app to email to app to email. The download to my wallet was just a voucher, not a ticket. Finally found tickets in original email. I never did figure out the audio guide. It wasn’t use of the museum’s audio guide. The museum was pretty cool, though.

A really bad experience

No one came to pass tickets to us as it was promised in Viator letters. We waited almost an hour near Giotto's statue as was prescribed but in vain. We contacted our operator via the app a few times and didn't get any response. It was just unbelievable. We didn't get any tickets and we want a full refund.

The Viator Guide did not have anything to let us know he was our meeting point. A guide from another Tour Operator actually pointed him out to us so we then knew where to go - otherwise we would have missed getting our ticket from him and our entrance. Usually Guides have a paddle or Viator Flag on a long stick they can hold up for everyone to see (near &. far)...other than that everything went smoothly and we got in on time and enjoyed the museum.

Despite “skip the lines”...

Despite “skip the lines” claim, we waited in line half an hour, just to get to the security checkpoint. Our guide was pleasant but difficult to understand and the “whisper” audio headsets were scratchy which made listening to the narrative a chore. Others in our group had a similar experience.

A Worthwhile Visit Overall

Once we found our meeting spot ( it was like a scavenger hunt amongst the many statues) it was smooth sailing from there. Olga led our tour and was very knowledgeable and engaging. No one prepared us for the 6 flights of stairs going to the top floor to begin the tour. We later found out that there was an elevator my husband could have taken. He was a pacemaker. The Uffizi was high on my bucket list and I’m thankful I got to go and see many artworks in person that I’ve only seen in Art History books. What an experience! The bookstore looked like it was undergoing renovation. I bet when they are finished it will be amazing but until then, it was underwhelming. The museum bookstores are one of my add-on highlights of art museums.

Olga provided a great tour of the most popular art in the Uffizi Museum and history of Florence. The tour started a few minutes late due to the radio guy being tardy, which didn’t make a lot of difference due to large crowds

When we went to receive our vouchers, we were told they were sold out. This after waiting in a long line to receive them. They offered no apology and did not even return our money!

Be careful, OVERPREICED AND COMPLETELY UNUSEFUL! The Uffizi Gallery itself is beautiful and I highly recommend visiting it. However do yourself a big favor safe a lot of money by buying the ticket at the official vending office/online, not through ITALY PASS. The official ticket price is about 25 eur. At Italy Pass it is 50 eur. That would be fine, if the service would keep its promise: making fast and easy to get the tickets. Unfortunately we had quite the opposite experience. The meeting location was not clearly described. Therefore we could not find the guy for the ticket handover, despite of stressfull search though the crowds of tourists. Eventually we called the hotline. They told us to go to the Italy Pass office 20 min away. So we walked there 20 min. At the office we are being told that it was a mistake and we have to walk back to the original meeting spot. This time the lady specified clearly where to go. So we walked 20 min back. Then we finally found the guy and received our tickets. Only an hour late, with a long and rushed walk, for overpriced tickets. This service makes sense if it makes your ticket purchase quick and easy. If it turns the process into a time consuming and exhausting odyssey, it is simply a waste of money, time and energy. Furthermore the paid audioguide on the app did NOT even work!! I filed a complaint at Italy Pass, but sadly it was simply ignored despite several reminders. So in short: This service from Italy Pass: NEVER AGAIN !
