This was a top-notch tour! Deborah was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. She took us through the Baptistery, the Museum, and the exterior of the Basilica, and she had in-depth knowledge of each. The tour was small, and she answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this tour!
Tyler_W, Apr 2026

The tour was so interesting and our guide Anastasia was so helpful. She knew so much about the Duomo and Florence and had such a passion for her city. She provided us with information for how to navigate the climb of the Duomo and Bell Tower as well as the lines we needed to stand in which is needed with all the crowds.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Jennifer,
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback!
Anastasia will really appreciate your words - her passion for Florence and the Duomo, along with the practical guidance she shares, is exactly what helps guests feel confident navigating both the climb and the crowds.
It’s great to hear that combination made the experience smooth and enjoyable for you.

It was long and not very interesting but the climb was great! Fantastic views. The first 2 hours could have been covered in 30 minutes or made completely optional.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Melissa,
Thank you for your feedback.
We’re glad you enjoyed the climb and the views - they are truly a highlight.
The experience is designed to provide a broader historical and artistic context of the Duomo Complex, including the Cathedral, Baptistery, and Museum, which can feel more detailed depending on personal preference.
We appreciate your perspective and will take it into account as we continue refining the experience.
Warm regards,
John

The meeting point of the tour was simple to find, and the guide very informative. The tour includes the outside of the Duomo, The Baptistry, and the museum. You must do the Dome climb, Belle tower climb and the inside of the Duomo on your own. But you do have 3 days to do so with somewhat skip the line pass
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Dear Ashley,
Thank you for your feedback!
Great to hear the meeting point was easy to find and that you found the tour informative. We aim to keep a smooth pace while covering the key highlights of the Duomo Complex.
Thank you as well for outlining how the experience works - the flexibility of the 3-day pass allows guests to explore the remaining sites at their own rhythm.
Warm regards,
John

Great experience made so by our stellar guide, Anastasia. Energetic and spunky, she brought the history of the building of the Duomo to life. The view at the top was beautiful. Only thing missing was her guiding us through the inside of the church building.

Our guide, Michael, did a great job giving us a tour of the Duomo and Baptistry. The history and architecture were covered very well and brought to life with the aide of the museum tour. Unfortunately we were unable to do the dome climb due to a holiday but that was not the fault of the company. We did climb the bell tower with beautiful views of the city.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thanks Brenda for the great review!
We're thrilled Michael brought the Duomo cuomplex history to life so well for you - those details really make the experience special. It's fantastic you still got to climb the bell tower for those stunning city views, even with the dome climb unavailable due to the holiday (totally out of our control, as you noted).
Your feedback means a lot to our small local team here in Florence - it helps us keep sharing the city's best with visitors and guides other travelers in planning their perfect day.
Thanks again for taking the time to post; we truly appreciate it!

TRACY_H, Oct 2025
Beautiful experience!!! I can’t remember our tour guide’s name, but she was excellent!! She was patient and took time to answer all of our questions! PLEASE NOTE—-walking to the top of the duomo is NOT for the faint of heart!!🤣. But so worth it to see the views! Also note, try and get to the front of the group (they take about 50 at a time), and once you get to the top, you have a limited amount of time you can spend up there (maybe 30 minutes). And, if your toward the back of the group, you will have less time because it takes a little longer to get to top because people stop while climbing (to catch their breath). And when you get almost to the top, you’re pretty much climbing vertically, like a ladder, and pulling yourself up. NOT EASY!! And VERY tight space, I’m 5’ 10” and had to duck a lot. Also, if you’re a bigger person, you might not fit. People were a lot smaller 300 years ago🤣. But, again….so worth it! Beautiful at the top!!

A must do! We had an excellent, born and raised local with a ton of knowledge and history. She was very personable and easy going pace for the whole tour. Followed with the finale of the Duomo Climb with a full 360 city view. Well worth the physical efforts to get to the view points.

To be honest, I hadn't wanted to do a tour, and instead had tried to book a dome climb directly from the Duomo but they were sold out, so ended up doing this tour - I'm very glad to have done it this way. Michele is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about Florence, the Duomo and it's history. He's also quite funny, which is always a plus.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you, Anisha. Great to hear you enjoyed the experience with Michele — he’ll appreciate your words. Sometimes the guided route really adds something extra.

Signed up for this because title said "Climb the Dome" but then the day before got a message saying actual admission to climb the dome would be another €109. The operator must have gotten a lot of blowback because he then included the dome climb which was a great experience. Seeing the Babistry and the Duomo Museum were well worthwhile. However, the title and description need to be a lot clearer.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you, John.
For clarity — you originally booked the Bell Tower option, which clearly states “NO Dome climb included.” The Dome climb is part only of the ‼️ Brunelleschi’s Dome option (109€ pp). You were informed of this in advance and offered the upgrade (30€ pp which is the difference between the dome and the bell tower option), but since we had a few extra Dome tickets that would otherwise go unused, we kindly decided to include the climb at no extra cost.
As we say in Italy, “A caval donato non si guarda in bocca” — when you get something extra, a simple grazie is usually enough 😊

Tour guides was nice, gave good info, the museum was great however felt rushed, no duomo info or climb with group, no 2 hrs in church explained either due to festival. No one told us when booking there was a festival or offered partial refund since we missed half the tour we paid for. Random wine festival closed church inside and there was no way we could have looked this up or known. The tour guide didn’t even know what the festival was til he asked someone else. Church was closed inside so couldn’t do crypt either & no time to go back. After the duomo climb 475 steps, we decided against the tower climb. Might be a good tour but we didn’t get full experience. Top of duomo was amazing.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your feedback Kristen!
We’re sorry for the confusion, but the wine festival or diocesan meeting did not actually affect your tour — the Cathedral interior is not part of the guided portion, and the Dome climb is always done independently after the guided visit using the same ticket.
Our guides normally do not climb the Dome, as they lead multiple tours daily and the ascent (463 steps) is quite demanding. The guided tour covers the exterior and façade introduction, the Baptistery (inside and outside), and the Museum — the core parts where the most important artworks are preserved.
Your ticket also allows you to enter the Cathedral and Crypt freely within the next two days.
We’re happy you still enjoyed the Dome climb and appreciate your detailed comments.
