I-17 to Hwy 260. Hwy 260 towards Camp Verde and continue for 1.6 miles. Turn right on Oasis Rd. At the stop sign turn right onto Salt Mine Rd. Follow Salt Mine Rd to Camp Verde Acres Access Rd. Turn left on Camp Verde Acres Access Rd. Follow the dirt road to the paved parking area at the end.

Once we got off the main rd and had to avoid several big potholes we new we where in for an adventure,lol.Ben was great,met us at the car with his sense of humor melting the unsureness away.
Showed us what we needed to know and some pretty cool fun facts about the surrounding area.
Water was perfect,easy to get to and the kiayaks where strong,reliable and clean.
The trip was the perfect amount of time and friendly guest on the water(in and out of are group).
If ever in town and looking for something to do,this is it!!Me and the family highly recommend!!Thanks again Ben,your the man!!

Great time with family! This kayaking experience was a nice slow river where I felt safe the entire time. We could go at our own pace instead of feeling pressure trying to keep up with a guide as a group. We could take breaks to swim and have a snack as needed, and even enjoyed a short little nap in the sun after beaching ourselves on some sand. We were given easy and complete instructions by our awesome guide, Ben, before he launched us off down the river. The surroundings were beautiful, and the only bad part of the trip was that it had to come to an end :) I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. We never felt rushed…only relaxed. This was THE BEST way to spend a day!

We’ve lived in Camp Verde for almost 30 years and have just had the opportunity to kayak the Verde with this fun company. Our guide/bus driver John, was born and raised here and is knowledgeable and so funny.
He got all of us in our kayaks and said if you don’t return in three days, I’ll come looking for you.
The best part is you can travel at your own pace. Take an hour or take three. Totally up to you.
Definitely recommend this kayak tour!

Walked right off a plane in Phoenix and drove straight to Inflatable Kayak Adventures in Camp Verde with Ben and Scott. Unbelievable experience and worth the time with this company. Saw lots of wildlife, relaxed on the river and even watched my 11 year old granddaughter enjoy a little taste of what a small rapid would be like. Ben and Scott made this adventure so enjoyable I want to come back with all my grandkids. Look them up...You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful trip down the Verde river! Quiet and full of nature sounds. Easy for a beginner, fun for all. Note the inflatable kayaks do have a mind of their own. Sometimes it’s best to literally just go with the flow. Just watch where you’re going so you duck under the trees if needed.
Matthew, the guide who takes you to the launch point, gives great instructions, and interesting little bits of knowledge about the area. Matthew was a happy dude. Appreciated his smile and enthusiasm.

A bunch of gentle rapids were a blast to go through and pushed you along at times. Very picturesque. We were very relaxed as we floated down the river, it was a beautiful day. Tour guys were very informative and helpful. Highly recommend if you like to kayak.

This was an awesome adventure! We rented the inflatable kayaks to go down the river on our own. It is very safe. Aging grandparents (bucket list) and teen loved it. It has lots of relaxing areas and very small rapids. Danny our guide to drop us off and pick up was very friendly. The views were so beautiful. I felt like we went slow and we're a bit over two hours. Highly recommend!

We had such a great family experience! 6 of us, 2 Grandparents, 2 parents and 2 Grandkids, ages almost 8 and 13. The parents had a kayak together, Papa had his own kayak, 13 year old (celebrating her birthday!) had her own spud (perfect size for her!) and Grandma and little Sis rode together. We laughed, at ourselves and each other, rode forward, sideways and backwards, enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful scenery and water. Our guide, John, was funny, informative and very helpful. We truly had a memorable time together and highly recommend this to others. Hint-take a hat and extra clothes, we were soaked but still laughing!

The view was amazing, just a knife, relaxing float down the river. John made the adventure so much better with all of his storytelling on the drive in the shuttle and he was there to greet us and wake up back. I highly recommend this adventure! It’s even for the people who can’t swim, the water is never deeper than 4 feet if even that. So don’t miss out on an adventure if you think you can’t do it I’m an old lady and I did It!

Easy trip, Danny was very helpful in letting us how to work the Kayak. Easy to find the location. You have to like to row. My husband would do this over and over again.

It was a great time! Our guide, Danny, was a great host.
I would recommend that participants be in good physical shape, as you have to paddle almost constantly for 1.5 hours.

At the start, John was our guide. He did a great job of explaining all the how-to-do instructions, then sent us on our merry way. It was a very hot day but being on the water made it much nicer. It took about 2 hours to complete the loop. It's fun, even if you do or do not have kayaking experience. Would definitively recommend if you're seeking an on-the-water half day experience.

Fantastic experience kayaking on the river that was perfect for beginners. Our group of 6 (ages 16 to 76) spent nearly three hours on the water, and every moment was enjoyable. The calm, gentle flow of the river with minor rapids made it easy to navigate, allowing us to fully appreciate the stunning natural scenery around us. Danny, our guide, was exceptional—his expertise and friendly demeanor made the adventure smooth and stress-free. He provided clear instructions and made sure we were all comfortable. Overall, it was a memorable outing that combined relaxation with beautiful views. Now we want to come back for a more challenging experience!

Excellent choice for families. My son is 10 and had never kayaked and was a little nervous about the water and if there would be any rapids etc. Our guide, he initiates contact, goes over water safety and talks about your water route, all important information so pay attention! He gets the group all set up and he went out of his way to assure my son and amazingly got him in the water and paddling his own boat!! I am very happy to write an excellent review, the guide doesn’t go with you on the trip, but its not needed. You see him before and after. This is a beautiful, easy trip with many photograpic opportunities, we had a wonderful time. These aren’t traditional kayaks, they are more like paddling a giant raft but its not difficult and it made the faster water parts really fun, sometimes we’d spin around backwards and we had a blast!! Well worth the money spent, and special thanks again to our guide for making this single mom feel so comfortable, and a kids first kayak trip go smoothly.

I wanted a day in the outdoors with sun, water, trees, and solitude. It was just what I needed. At the early trip our group was small, only me solo and two tandem kayaks. The water was nice and had enough flow to move along without extreme paddling, and enough ripples to keep it interesting. It would be a great place to spend time with my grandchildren that would be fun but not too risky. I was a little hesitant to do this solo but the host Dan was kind and informative. He boarded me last after the two families. This was good because at 67 I am self-conscious when loading and unloading in a kayak. We have our own boats in Wyoming and now I would like to own an inflatable kayak. The host, Scott, helping unload was nice also. I will do it again, as it was a perfect day. When I got to my car, the temperature said 103, but it didn't feel like it on the water. At 67 I know my time for these types of activities may be limited, but this was confidence building. It almost makes me want to move here, but I can visit my son and his family often and keep enjoying... another day in paradise.

My little one, he’s nine years old, had a wonderful time in his very first kayak trip! He was provided his very own boat that was just his size, and our guide Ben was kind enough to attach a towing belt for the child to grab onto when his arms got tired. Overall, the distance of the adventure was perfect, and it was self guided so we were able to move at our own pace. The weather was perfect, and we even say a gray blue heron!
