I've takem many food tours in the US and abroad. This was the most disappointing. The reviews were so good, but it was clearly a different guide. First, the guide Parker greeted us in a disheveled fashion while eating his breakfast out of a paper cup. He was good about reciting scripted facts about the area but really was not at all knowledgeable about Dallas. Second, sadly the Oak cliff area is crumbling and not in great shape. The first 2 restaurants had decent food but so old, cluttered and just dated. The third restaurant was closed so he quickly booked a great spot across the street for a mezcal tasting. Highlight of the trour. Best part was Bishop arts neighborhood, but we sadly only tasted from one restaurant there.. Last stop was an oold market that served us ice cream. This was definitely not worth the $110 PP price tag. Trip advisor had a "luxury" description on review. Unfortunately, far from it.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear parts of the experience did not align with your expectations.
Incloodie is intentionally designed as a cultural and historical exploration of Oak Cliff and the Bishop Arts District — one of Dallas’ most celebrated and historic neighborhoods — featuring long-standing family-owned establishments that are deeply rooted in the community.
Our guides undergo extensive training and preparation, and we’ve reinforced our presentation standards to ensure every guest receives the level of professionalism we expect.
We also maintain contingency plans when unexpected vendor changes occur, and I’m glad an alternative mezcal tasting was able to provide a positive moment during your visit.
We appreciate you joining us and wish you the best in your future travels.

Excellent tour with great food and history and information about the area. Our guide Parker, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Tour exceeded our expectations.
Robert_D, Dec 2025
Did not take this tour being hungry. The portions were very small except for the steak at the very beginning. We literally had to go get something to eat afterward. Lauren was very informative and kind, but she doesn’t control the portions.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Hey Robert, it was a pleasure hosting you and your sons. Thank you for taking the time to share this, we really appreciate the honest feedback. We’re glad the history and storytelling stood out, and we’re happy the experience felt informative and welcoming.
You’re right that portion balance matters, and we actually took feedback like this seriously. We’ve since brought back the original, heartier first stop our of the 5 we visit on the route to make sure even our hungriest guests leave feeling satisfied, while still keeping the experience paced and enjoyable across all stops. That first course is intentional, it sets the tone and anchors the rest of the tour.
Our goal is to strike a thoughtful balance between food, history, and walkability, and feedback like yours helps us continue refining that experience. Thank you again for joining us and for sharing your perspective, we’d love the opportunity to welcome you back and show you how the tour has evolved.

Our group of 5 enjoyed learning about the unique history of South Dallas. Our guide was knowledgeable, personable and had a good feel for the area. The restaurants were interesting, with variety but portions were a bit small, especially for men and im not sure the "drink package" was worth it. The 2 cocktails and a small shot of mezcal were tasty but a small amount for the upcharge
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Hey Karin,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate guests taking the time to leave thoughtful feedback.
For clarity, this tour takes place in Oak Cliff, not South Dallas, a neighborhood with its own distinct cultural history and food traditions. The route is intentionally designed to reflect that specific community and its stories through five curated stops, balancing history, walkability, and variety.
Thank you for the portion feedback. This is something we take seriously. We’ve since reintroduced our original, more substantial first stop to ensure even the hungriest guests leave satisfied while still enjoying a paced, multi-stop experience.
The drink package is offered as a cultural pairing, meant to complement the food and storytelling rather than function as a drinking-focused tour. However, guests are always welcome to purchase additional drinks at any location if they’d like to explore more!
We’re glad the guide’s knowledge and connection to the area stood out. Incloodie is designed as a thoughtfully curated food and history experience, not a bar crawl, and we continue refining it to stay true to that mission.

Parker was an excellent guide. He marveled us with his knowledge, and made sure we had the best time. We’ve been on many good tours, and Parker, by far, is the best! This tour goes from historic Latin to uptown arts. Highly recommend.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for sharing thi! We’re glad the experience felt memorable and well-led. Parker will appreciate the kind words, and we’re happy to hear the tour stood out even among many others you’ve taken.
Our Tejano Trails route explores historic Latin roots through Oak Cliff and the Bishop Arts District with authentic local flavors!
We’re grateful the knowledge, pacing, and overall experience made such a strong impression. Thank you for the recommendation, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime to explore another Dallas neighborhood and its story!
Claire_H, Oct 2025
Great food tour. Incloodie Tours are pretty new but a fantastic company wish I had had time to do the down town one as well.
Parker was a great guide around oak cliff and bishops art district. Lots of great history , some really unusual food and delicious cocktails. Highly recommend
Response from Host, Dec 2025
We love this! Thank you for sharing it. Being recognized as a newer company and a fantastic one means a lot, especially from guests who clearly value history, food, and thoughtful experiences.
We’re glad Oak Cliff and the Bishop Arts District stood out for you. That route is intentionally designed to highlight deep neighborhood history, lesser-known food traditions, and cocktails that feel purposeful rather than performative. Parker will appreciate the kind words, and we’re happy the experience felt distinctive and memorable.
And next time you’re in Dallas, the Downtown Dallas food and history tour will be waiting; it tells a completely different chapter of the city. Thank you for the recommendation and for supporting Incloodie as we grow.
Wesley_W, Aug 2025
We wernt sure of this when we first pulled up and almost canceled but decided to give it a shot and glad we did. Rich in history and delicious in taste. Parker was a amazing guide and could answer all the questions we had. 10 out 10 would go agai
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Hi Wesley,
This one really gets to the heart of why Incloodie exists, thank you for sharing it.
Starting off the beaten path is very intentional. Some of the most meaningful food, history, and culture in Dallas isn’t obvious at first glance, and we love hearing that you trusted the experience and discovered the magic that’s there when you keep an open mind.
We’re glad the history, flavors, and space to ask questions made it worth it. Parker will appreciate the kind words, and it means a lot to hear the experience shifted expectations in such a positive way.
Thank you for giving it a shot — and for the 10/10 recommendation. We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime to explore another side of the city
Ruth_S, Jul 2025
Be hungry when you start because there is so much to eat! Lauren know about the neighborhood and the food! Informative and delicious!
Response from Host, Dec 2025
That’s great advice! Thank you for sharing it. We’re glad the experience felt both filling and informative. Knowing the neighborhood and the food as a connected story is exactly what we aim for, so it means a lot to hear that balance came through.
We design this as a guided neighborhood food and cultural history experience, where guests can enjoy generous tastings while also understanding the place they’re walking through. Thank you for joining us and for the recommendation, we’d love to welcome you back anytime to explore another part of the city of Dallas.

We had a great time on the tour. Lauren was a great guide and had interesting insights into the Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts District. We love going on these tours because we always get to try and see things we would never find on our own. Highly recommend booking this tour.

Thanks so much for spending the afternoon with me! I love hearing that you got to experience places and flavors you might not have found on your own—that’s really the whole heart of Incloodie. Loved it. All the food was something I’ve never had before except for the first place. What made the tour stand out was the enthusiasm of the tour guide, Lauren. She was passionate about the history and the culture of Oakcliff area.
Melanie_B, Mar 2025
It was a lot of fun trying different food and the guide Lauren was very knowledgeable about the area.
K_X, Mar 2025
Awesome selection of food and amazing tour of Little Mexico and Bishop Arts District. Bonus JFK assassination spots too! The tour guide is very knowledgeable and familiar with the locals. You can tell she appreciates the historical aspects of the architecture and people who contributed to the local neighborhoods. She aswered all our curious questions and we enjoyed it immensely. One of the best part of our trip to Dallas! Don't think if you want this tour, you need it! 100% would recommend!
Leslie_W, Mar 2025
Lauren was an excellent tour guide. My family of four enjoyed the history, interesting local stories, and the food at each stop. We ate traditional cocktails and dishes from Mexico and El Salvador that date back thousands of years. Everything was delicious and unique.
camryn_o, Feb 2025
Lauren is amazing!! Such a great tour, learned a lot and ate some great local food. My favorite was the house made mangonada with chamoy and tajin
Miechele_S, Feb 2025
Guide was very informative about the history and culture of the area. The food is abundant so pace yourself. 😁 if you enjoy alcohol, I highly recommend adding the drink package. Unusual things to taste. Be adventurous!
Abudhabi_L, Feb 2025
Great food and great history of the city. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Food was great and very filling. Make sure you come hungry.
Deby_K, Jan 2025
Highly enthusiastic and local to OakCliff Lauren was very passionate about her work and genuinely wants you to have a great time. The tour she guided was a journey through the history of the area, its hispanic heritage, arts and culture while savoring Dallas's unique cuisine. My husband and I had great time learning and exploring this historic part of DFW.
Scott_M, Jan 2025
Lauren was fantastic! She had a lot of knowledge of the area, and answered all my questions. All the restaurants and food were great. I highly recommend!
Susan_Z, Nov 2024
Lauren took my daughter and me on one of the best food/history tours we have been on. The food and her fun facts were terrific. We started with steak, baked potato and salad that was delicious and would be difficult to top but she did!! We ate food from many cultures and Lauren had many interesting facts about their cultures. She definitely took her time to share her knowledge of Texas history with us. She was also open to our many questions about the area. Lauren gave us ideas on things to do to full up the rest of our day. We would definitely do another tour with Lauren.
Tania_M, Oct 2024
our tour guide, Lauren?, was very knowledgeable about the area & the history. The only suggestion i would have is make the portions smaller. We started with the biggest meal, which was amazing, but the potatoes could have been 1/2 the size and the dessert could have been smaller also. Nobody left hungry.
KyraandDave_N, Oct 2024
My husband and I were visiting Dallas, and signed up for the foodie tour, not knowing what to expect. Our tour guide, Lauren, ("Incloodie" food tours) was so welcoming and energetic! She took us to several restaurants, and we had very good meals, from steak and potatoes to authentic Mexican / El Salvadorian food! Lauren was also knowledgeable about local history, and we had a great experience!
Adam_K, Oct 2024
Guide was great sharing a lot of information about the food and area. Would highly recommend this experience

The variety of the food was excellent. We loved trying out a few exotic dishes that were out our normal selections. Also loved the history of the Oak Cliff neighborhood.
Response from Host, Oct 2024
I'm so glad you enjoyed the exotic dishes! We believe that's what a food tour is all about.
Adina_C, Oct 2024
Had a wonderful day with Lauren. She has a charming personality and is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Really enjoyed our foodie stops.
