A not to miss walking tour of Brooklyn

Debra_S, Apr 2026
A wonderful 4.5 hour walking tour of Brooklyn. We visited 5 very distinct neighborhoods with Dani and learned about their historical significance, the architecture, the cultures and changing ethnicities, and the amazing street art. There was so much to learn and see and there was never a question that Dani could not answer. We did take a couple of subway rides to enable us to cover more ground and we did stop for a small meal of pizza mid way through. She brought photographs to show the changing city landscape and was always very culturally sensitive. She spoke clearly and carefully and we always felt extremely safe. I really didn’t want the tour to end and would definitely try to book another one with Dani in the future.

Informative PLUS++

This was extremely informative and captured the changing landscapes of Brooklyn in only a short few hours! Dani’s knowledge and passion for culture, food and The Arts is to be respected and admired. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, safe and supported as we moved through the different boroughs. Just a reminder wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Highly recommended!!!

If you haven't explored Brooklyn this is a must

Our guide was excellent, she knew the history well. She spoke clearly and was very considerate of the tour members. It seems like a lot of walking, but we got some nice breaks with the subway rides.

Fun and insightful

Dani was great. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and energetic. Able to field all sorts of questions about Brooklyn. She could easily be a realtor! 😁. Took us to parts unknown and opened our eyes to the cultural diversity of the area. Need good walking shoes as we did 15000 steps!! Worth every penny

Best Brooklyn tour I've seem

Kevin_M, Sep 2024
Of four or five tours of Brooklyn that I've taken, this is far and away the best. While a bit longer at 4.5 hours than other tours, the use of time was well worth it. The tour covered both popular neighborhoods such as "hipster" Williamsburg, but also touched on less visited places such as Satmar Williamsburg and Bushwick. Dani, our guide, is a longtime Brooklyn resident, but by way of her international roots, she is able to bring a worldly context into her commentary about local culture, politics, and architecture. She makes good use of visiting tourists, comfortably incorporating them into conversation. She's also quite ready to answer most probing questions -- and is quite funny to boot. Finally, at the close of the tour, she's quite adept at making further site-seeing recommendations and directing guests on how to get to the sites of their choice. Highly recommended.

Fabulous tour - I would highly recommend.

Our tour guide was very pleasant and highly knowledgeable. She showed us four very different and contrasting districts of Brooklyn, explaining the history of each one. Well worth the price of the tour.

One Borough but such diversity

Sally_B, Apr 2024
It was all excellent and we learnt so much about how the different areas of Brooklyn have changed over time. The ultra orthodox Jewish enclave was especially interesting. But it was the mixture of cultures and history plus hearing about the introduction of modern developments that was fascinating. It was all presented so well by our guide,Dani. It could not have been better. We covered so much and using the subway between some areas worked very well.A highly recommended tour.

Intimate views and perspectives of Brooklyn!

John_P, Oct 2023
Dani gave a great panorama of Brooklyn neighborhoods, with a lot of insights into how the city is ever changing and its consequences. Unfortunately, we had to drop off about halfway, due to some health problems, so we missed out on more good sights. Hopefully we can return sometime to see the rest.

Best tour in NYC

The best tour I’ve done in NYC. Dani is so knowledgeable and passionate about her community. Even those who have been to Brooklyn before will learn something new. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Thanks for a great day Dani

A unique tour that’s great value for money

maurice, Oct 2023
This tour is the perfect introduction to Brooklyn if you have no idea where to start, like we did. You get to visit five (very) different neighbourhoods about which the guide is very knowledgeable and also on hand with personal recommendations depending on where you’re staying and what you like doing. Considering it’s a half day tour I thought it was excellent value for money and it’s also a great way to get your steps in!

Mega gute Brooklyn-Tour.

Martin_H, Oct 2023
Die Tour war super geplant und gut geführt. Die 3 Ubahnfahrten haben es ermöglicht viele Facetten von Brooklyn zusehen. Die 4,5 h sind wie im Flug vergangen.
