Operating Schedule: Departure for this 3 hour excursion will be 10 minutes before tour is scheduled to begin. Parking is available on sight. If ubering to location, guests can await inside donut shop until pick up! WE DO NOT HOST HOTEL PICK UPS/ DROP OFFS HERE. THIS IS ONLY A TICKET FOR THE TOUR. (RIGHT ACROSS FROM Hero's Donuts) After purchase confirmation, a second email will be sent out to you outlining all tour information so that you are set for your amazing tour. All locations on itinerary are not guaranteed. We will try our best to reroute another city landmark for that but cannot guarantee access if landmark is closed, has shifted hours, closed abruptly or things beyond our control. We can only control our service and will only guarantee you an amazing experience. If guests asked to leave early, we will not be able to offer any refunds. We ensure a safe, 3 hour experience and will see all experiences through. Tyler Perry Studios Tour is only available on the weekdays. This will be replaced with Alonzo Herndon Home.

Underwhelming Black Atlanta 3-Hour bus tour

Our group of six reserved the Black Atlanta 3-Hour Bus Tour for May 10, 2026, at a cost of $79.00 per person. The tour was scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Unfortunately, what we experienced was extremely disappointing, highly unprofessional, and far below what was advertised and expected. To begin, the bus arrived approximately 20–25 minutes late. After finally arriving, we then waited an additional 10 minutes for another guest who was running late. Once everyone boarded, the tour guide, Alex, informed us that management had decided to combine two entirely different tours together — our Black Atlanta tour and a Mother’s Day Brunch and wine-making tour. This was never disclosed to us beforehand and was completely inappropriate given that customers paid for two separate experiences. At that point, Alex asked whether we had time constraints and if we needed to return by a certain time. We explained that we absolutely did, as we had other scheduled plans immediately following the tour. Despite this, we did not even depart the pickup location until approximately 10:36 a.m., over half an hour after the scheduled start time. The actual “tour” itself was incredibly underwhelming. We spent nearly 40 minutes driving within roughly a five-mile radius, briefly slowing down to point out locations such as the Olympic site, the Georgia State Capitol, City Hall, Georgia State University, and a nearby restaurant district before arriving on Auburn Avenue. Shortly afterward, Alex informed us that she needed to take the other passengers to their wine-making experience and would therefore be dropping our group off at the King Center for approximately 45 minutes. When we were picked back up, we were then informed that the wine-making group was still not finished, so we were dropped off yet again - this time at Slutty Vegan - simply to “find something to eat” while we waited. This was not part of the itinerary we paid for, nor was it an acceptable substitute for a guided tour experience. To make matters even worse, when we returned to the bus, we discovered that we were locked out and stranded on the curb in warm weather. Alex appeared to be on the phone attempting to resolve the issue but failed to provide any communication, updates, or timeframe regarding what was happening. After waiting more than 20 minutes with no information and growing concern about our own schedules, we were ultimately forced to arrange alternative transportation at our own expense in order to make it to our next destination. Overall, this experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The tour began late, was significantly altered without notice, failed to deliver the advertised experience, and ultimately ended early with passengers stranded and forced to find their own transportation. We feel completely misled and extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism, organization, communication, and customer care shown throughout the experience. Lastly, although Alex advised that photos and videos taken during the tour would be uploaded to Photo Circle, they never were. Regardless, we do not grant permission for any photos or videos containing members of our group to be used, shared, posted, published, or distributed in any manner for promotional, marketing, social media, or other business purposes. Based on these circumstances, we are formally requesting that we not be charged for this tour. We paid for a professionally operated Black Atlanta tour experience and did not receive anything close to what was promised. We look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

To completely address this situation I will need to respond with the photos and videos from the experience- where you all shed tears and were very emotional about our Mother's Day experience. We also have photos of each guests, smiling, up dancing around, and enjoying the sites. I will also address where Mini FREE snacks and a glass of champagne were never guarnteed or advertised on the tour but because it was Mother's Day, we offered that for FREE because we didn't want you all to be left out- WHICH WAS MONEY out of our pocket because you all did not pay for that. In regards to being late, that is an extended lie as we send everyone messages stating we have up until 10:10 am to arrive, and we arrived in under 7 minutes. Also, you all were not our only guests. We have guests reserve seating on other platforms so they were high priority to be waited on and taken care of. But because Viator allows us to host other guests- we did not cancel your reservation because we had a special event. We included you - thats also on camera. So yes I will wait on anyone paying their hard earn money to have a unique experience with us. Thirdly- If you want to start a business you should do that. Coming and telling us what we are allowed to do is not your right. You don't know what our other experience entailed as to why I'm confused why your so focused on it. Everyone got what they paid for. 3- 3.5 hours of an Atlanta experience. Our other guests had nothing to do with your trip. Fourthly- You DID NOT GET LOCKED OUT OF THE BUS! We all got locked out as I the host accidently locked the keys in the bus TO GET CONTENT OF YOU AND YOUR GUESTS SMILING AND EATING THE FOOD SLUTTY VEGAN. DANCING AND SAYING HOW YOU ALL WERE ENJOYING OUR EXPERIENCE. SO STRANDED IS WILD... YOUR SITTING AT SLUTTY VEGAN RIGHT ACROSS FROM MARTIN LUTHER KING MEMORIAL. WHERE WE GAVE you an Additional 15 minutes as stated on our site we only allow 30 minutes . The bus was opened less than an hour after being locked out. You all decided to leave early and we did not tell you that the tour was over. WE NEVER TOLD YOU THE OTHER GUESTS WERE NOT DONE with their experience SO THATS AN EXTENDED VERSION OF THE TRUTH. WE ASKED YOU ALL WHY YOU ALL WERE AT THE TOP OF THE STREET AND NOT AT EBENEZER BAPTIST were we have advised all our guest to go as we have told guests that for the last 5 years . Lastly. The photos are in the circle awaiting your download. We operate very professional , you all are extended the truth because you want money back from an experience you feel entitled to but we still hosted your tour, gave great customer service, gave you free food and drinks and was your personal videographer/ photographer. All the photos will tell. So I do apologize that you came on our experience looking for a payout, but this is very disparaging to us as we have been hosting tours for 5 years. So all visuals and tickets will be sent to Viators high ups that each guests, were safe, full from the food, and everyone enjoyed it. But to wrap this up, I will stand on our experience any day and we are allowed to tape anything from our phone as it is our property. Once you all pay for a ticket , that is under our rules. You all know your being recorded so no one violated anyone's right. All photos and videos are meant to celebrate the experience . According to Georgia Law.

Learning the history of the various attractions and the culture in general. A suggestion would be to provide a map so people can mark the different areas that they might want to go back to after the tour.
