This tour was not as it was represented. It was very disappointing and not worth the price. The guide was late, everything was unorganized. The restaurants were not prepared for us and we had to wait for our food. Out of the whole tour we only got half of an empanada and a taco. We also got two cookies. We were waiting for chicken and waffles at the last stop but after 45 minutes, the food never arrived so we left. The whole experience was very disappointing. I was led to believe that we would receive three cocktails and was told that I would’ve had to pay more for the cocktails. That was not what was represented. At the end of the tour, we had to walk a mile back to where our car was parked, which seemed really unorganized.

Ryan was an amazing guide! Very informative, personable, and funny. Good amount of walking as well to help make it easier to space out the dishes. The food was not out of this world, but all very good and well worth the experience! Great quality food quality food tour!

Guide was fantastic! The only thing I didn’t like was there were two chain type restaurants on tour. I prefer food tours to be one of a kind places.

We have taken many food tours in a variety of states and this was the most expensive with very little history of Atlanta and food was sub-par.

The goal is to give guests a look at how Southern flavors are being used today, along with context about Midtown’s growth, dining scene, and the people behind the restaurants. Many guests mention enjoying the mix of food and neighborhood insight, as well as discovering places they would not have visited on their own. While food preferences vary from person to person, our chosen dishes are frequently mentioned in positive reviews for reflecting local style and consistency.

Tour guide was fun and great but the tour itself appeared to be quite disorganized. The locations had no clue we were coming. First place had to improvise to get the dish since they only do them on certain days, second was a dessert place which was a bit weird. Third place had to put tables together but no biggie, fourth ran out of the food item and had to find alternative and last one was ice cream but they had no one to prepare so the server had to do it.
It just seems like it could’ve been planned a lot better or at least give the next restaurant a heads up so good is ready faster or is at least available.

Our tour guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable about the history of Atlanta’s most iconic monuments. The food places we stopped at were very enjoyable (I’ve had some of the best empanadas in my life). I would definitely come back on this tour.

Food was tasty and the guide Elaisha was very pleasant. Logistics were a bit messy. Meeting location wasn't clear and it took a while to collect everyone, so we started about 15 minutes late. (For the record, meeting location is directly across the street from the Fox Theatre, not by the hotel entrance.) The first restaurant seemed confused by the fact that we were on a guided tour and didn't have the expected food item available, but the guide worked out an alternative. Finally, four of the five participants had booked through websites that didn't advertise the drink package, but it *is* an option. (You may need to contact them to add it.) And definitely be aware that the tour ends about a mile from where it began, so plan your parking accordingly. Apart from logistics, there were a few other notable things. We found over the course of the afternoon that the foods listed on the tour preview were not the ones we ended up tasting. The guide said they switch restaurants regularly based on guest feedback, which is not a bad thing, but it's something you should know when you book. We had mistakenly assumed it was a tour of quintessentially southern cuisine (which it wasn't). Instead it turned out to be a sampling of trendy restaurants in Atlanta, which was fun in its own right. And, finally, the emphasis here is on the food. We had four historical buildings pointed out to us as we passed them - with longer explanations about the Fox Theatre and Margaret Mitchell House - and got a handful of trivia facts, but otherwise the tour focused on restaurant recommendations. Honestly, I think this would be a great excursion for locals.

Our routes are designed to explore more of Atlanta, which is why the tour doesn't end where it starts—something we always recommend checking before arrival.
We do rotate restaurants based on guest feedback to keep the experience fresh and reflective of Atlanta’s current food scene. While it may not always focus on traditional Southern fare, many guests enjoy the variety and modern flavors. The drink package is always available as an add-on, though some platforms may not highlight it clearly.

We really enjoyed the tour and all of the food stops! Our guide did a great job telling us about the restaurants, specialities of each restaurant, the Midtown area and some of the local points of interest. She did an excellent job!
I was disappointed in that the tour description online lists “Admission ticket free” for the Georgian Terrace Hotel, Fox Theater, the Margaret Mitchell house, and the Federal Reserve Bank, but we did not enter even one of these buildings. They were pointed out by the guide, however, and she told us a little about each one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Secret Food Tours in Atlanta! My partner and I had never done a food tour before, and he is such a foodie, so I gave this to him as a Christmas gift. He was so thrilled to be a part of it, and we loved every dish that was set before us.
