- Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location for using the Marta train, Uber/Lyft transportation. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and a Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Hotel Parking is available, but isn't free! There's parking garages & lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Most important, arrive 20-30 minutes before tour departure.
- Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
- The morning tour starts from 10:00am and the afternoon tour 1:30pm

Great experience and great tour guide. Awesome information in the heart of Atlanta and how it really is along with visits to the important African American locals that had importance to the civil rights movement.

Knowledge often keeps our hope and inspiration alive! This tour did just that. Jerry provided a great mix of historical unique knowledge and displayed a high level of Atlanta pride with humor. The tour itself was absolutely eye-opening! It fulfilled something in my soul that I didn’t know I was missing . It not only re-introduced me to the black history I already knew, but with the guide--Omar there was a fresh and fun twist that kept you engaged throughout. Additionally, because he was so knowledgeable about Atlanta—past and present—it only elevated this experience. I definitely give it 5 stars and suggest that anyone regardless of who you are to book this tour. You will NOT regret it!

The Jeff our tour guide was very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. He made sure everyone was enjoying the tour. Questions were answered along the route. My grand children walk away with an experience that they were excited to share with others. (ages 12, 14, and 17)

I’d highly recommend this tour of ATL. The history lessons are beyond any movie documentary you’ve seen. There’s a wealth of knowledge given, in addition to, multiple stops to support local black businesses. Just book it. You won’t be disappointed at all.

The tour was so helpful and so beneficial. The stops were nicely timed, the landmarks were extraordinary, and the knowledge from our tour guide was superb. Loved his personality and his description of the history of Atlanta and the figures that he described. Would redo this tour in a heartbeat the next time I come to Atlanta

Young or old, first time visitor or born and raised, this is a "must do" while in Atlanta. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable with information you cant just obtain from a Wiki page or Google search.

This 4.5 hour tour was incredibly comprehensive, informative, and offered fantastic photo opportunities throughout. Our driver and guide, Jeff, brought so much personality to the trip, though the absolute highlight was the opportunity to explore Freedom Hall. With an intimate group of just five passengers during my tour, it felt like a wonderful personalized and memorable experience.

The narrator, Jeff Moore was very knowledgeable of the city's history. He took the time to answer questions. The transportation was clean. I would highly recommend Jeff Moore as a tour guide for your future adventures.

Jeff packs alot of history in the 4+ hours. He tells you things not normally mentioned in history books. We traveled all over the city on local roads and the expressway. It is exciting, humorous and Jeff is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter of Atlanta's history past and current.

We had an amazing experience on the Black History and Civil Rights Tour. Jeff, was our guide and he was so personable and made us feel so comfortable. This tour covered so much, we not only learned about the history, but also so much about present artists and entertainers, the tour was not only educational, but also lots of fun! I would truly recommend this tour, for anyone who wants to know as much as they could about Atlanta and all it has to offer!

At the Tyler Perry studios, you only are allowed to be FAR from the studio itself. The guide and his narrative made the trip worthwhile, otherwise few of the stops actually had much to do with the history.

The Driver/Guide Omar was very patient, personable, knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much about Black History that I've never knew. It was a lot to take in and Omar took his time to answer questions and not make the passengers feel rushed. I'm very glad I made the time for this tour. I highly recommend it and plan to take my Grandchildren when they come from California on this same tour because this tour provided information I know they'll never get from anywhere else. Outstanding!!
