Great tour of Atlanta

Patricia_W, Apr 2025
The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Julio grew up in Atlanta and that made it even more personable and fun. He knew history, art, the city..we really enjoyed our time. Three hours was not enough but we learned a lot.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

We agree that Julio's knowledge of Atlanta is vast and we are grateful for your review.

Tour of old neighborhood in Atlanta

Kat_N, Feb 2024
Going to ebenezer Baptist church and MLK park at the end but we spent the first 2 hours driving around looking at houses and hearing about all the movies that are filmed in Atlanta. There was nothing about civil war or civil rights struggles in this tour except for the MLK park

Response from Host, Feb 2024

Thank you for your feedback. It comes a s a surprise and we will follow up with your guide. We wish you safe travels.

Worth Every Penny

Alison_S, Nov 2023
Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. He took us all around Atlanta and knew so much about each area we went to. He pointed out points of interest we would not have noticed otherwise but were definitely noteworthy, such as the multiple murals painted around the city. We got an overview of all of the neighborhoods in the city and got to hear what was special and unique about each. We went to the MLK state park, and that was a truly inspiring and humbling experience. He suggested food spots we should check out and we were not disappointed. There were no negatives about the tour. It enhanced our entire visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Enjoyed hearing about Civil war and Civil rights in Atlanta

Grace_C, Jun 2023
Chris was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Being a history buff, it was interesting seeing the civil war gravesites and learning all that happened to Atlanta during that time. I also enjoyed seeing the MLK birthplace and Park

Exception tour by Chris

Ron_W, Jul 2022
Chris was very knowledgeable of the history of Atlanta. It was great to see various Atlanta neighborhoods and how they have evolved after the civil war through socioeconomic changes of today. The MLK site was a must see and Chris was able to guide us through to see some of the highlights of the exhibit in the limited time we had.

Response from Host, Aug 2022

Thank you Dr. King

DianaLouise_T, Dec 2021
Seeing the home of Dr. King’s youth and standing by his church took my breathe away and brought tears to my eyes. Where would we be without his life and example?

A great way to learn

Mary_B, Mar 2020
This tour far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I were in Atlanta for a conference, and had a few hours to see Atlanta. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and Melinda, the tour guide was extremely well informed, pleasant, interesting, and concerned about our well-being and interests. The tour was at a pace that was right for us—we are in our 70s—But I understand they have tours for children. It was a great combination of walking through historic site, like the historical cemetery, and riding in a comfortable man. With just the two of us along everything was tailored to our. needs. I think I now understand the importance of Atlanta in the Civil War and Reconstruction and how Atlanta’s history lead to its crucial role in the civil rights struggle and the development of Martin Luther King. I highly recommend this tour.

Response from Host, Mar 2020

This was a wonderful tour. I was able to see a lot more of Atlanta than I otherwise would have. I was picked up by Melinda and we started out stopping at a Civil War battle sight and ending up at the MLK museum. All along the way Melinda proved an interesting narrative of the different sights. I highly recommend this tour for anyone the least bit interested in history.

I really enjoyed the knowledge he shared and that it was both Civil War and Civil Rights. We also got to drive around to see other prominent places such as Olympic Park and the Coca Cola factory. He worked around my schedule and that was greatly appreciated!
