This was one of the best walking tours I’ve taken in my travels. Our tour guide Zoe was informative, energetic, entertaining and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend taking this tour with Zoe!

Great learning experience. A view of Atlanta it would be hard to get without a guide and extremely relevant to the present day.

This MLK walking tour is something I’ve been wanting to do ever since I moved to Atlanta earlier this year and it didn’t disappoint! Joy was a phenomenal guide. So knowledgeable but also conversational and easygoing and fun. I loved all the personal touches she shared about ML and Coretta and the King family.
Seeing his childhood home and birthplace, his final resting place with Coretta, the famous Ebenezer Baptist Church where he and his father preached, his Nobel peace prize, his suitcase and clothing from his final day, it was all overwhelming and very moving. I also loved how Joy played excerpts from MLK’s speeches at key points along the way so we could hear his voice as we saw these meaningful sights.
Loved learning about his mentors too, Coretta’s influence, and seeing and feeling how so many things came together in his family and in the nation for him to play the role that he did. A very special tour and we deeply enjoyed it. There were a lot of laughs too. So important that we remember this man and this movement and I am grateful for this tour.

The MLK walking tour was amazing. Nic did a fantastic job as our tour guide. He was so informative, and you could tell that he really enjoyed what he was doing. I learned so much more than what I thought I already knew. I'm so glad we did the tour; I would do it again if I had the opportunity. If you ever decide to do a tour, choose Nic as your guide; he kept us all engaged, he was awesome.

The tour was very informative and our guide Jessica was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and super pleasant to be around. She was amazing at storytelling. She did a fantastic job of putting you in the mindset of each individual and the time period in which they lived as she spoke. She spoke with care and compassion while giving in depth answers to all our questions which speaks to her knowledge on the subject. She told us misconstrued facts, and followed up with actual history, which was chef's kiss. The walk was not as bad as I thought it would be, though the heat was coming and going thanks to the clouds. During the tour there are plenty of shady places Jessica found for us from the heat while she guided us. The ending of the tour was by far my favorite part, as she showed us the burial grounds of Dr. King Jr. and his wife, Mrs. King. It was a very good tour and I'd definitely do it again.

This was the best tour that we had experienced during our travels. Our tour guide Jessica was so knowledgeable and personable and made our experience worth every penny. We were leary about doing a 2 and a half hour walking tour but the time went by fast and we learned so many facts about MLK and other black public figures that aren’t generally told public media. This information we received was valuable. Jessica’s personality kept us all engaged throughout the tour. If she is available definitely join her tour!
Diamond_W, Aug 2025
Jessica was amazing, truly put her theater skills to use. She was also able to accommodate any changes that had to be made midway and it ended up just be my partner and myself on the tour. She loved the fact that we’re both educators so it made the tour more fun as we asked a bunch of questions, she enjoyed a challenge. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful tour! Kristin was phenomenal! She told great stories, was knowledgeable beyond and could answer most of our questions. She was very kind and accommodating, I would do this tour again!

Kirsty was such a joy. She told the story with such depth and feeling. The area came alive. I will come back again, and this time with more South Africans
Portia_K, Jul 2025
had such a wonderful time on this walking tour. Our guide, Joy, was an absolutely wonderful guide it was clear that she had a passion for what she does - knows the history of the area and MLK very well and we thought she told the stories of his life and presence in Atlanta with great skill such that we were deeply moved by the end of tour. We appreciate that she gave us some extra time and will definitely book future tours with the unexpected folks - especially the food tour. Thank you Joy! See you next time :)

Joy was a very personable and knowledgeable tour guide. The stops were all planned out well (including a short break from the heat with a cold water) and we all walked away with new knowledge. Would highly recommend. We learned so much more this way rather than just touring the sites ourselves.
annechristine75, Jun 2025
I learned so much about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on this walking tour! I almost walked the sites solo, but I would not have gotten as much out of that experience. Zoe was very knowledgeable, inspirational, and entertaining. I would, hands down, take this tour again!
Vinette_L, Jun 2025
Kristen was a wonderful tour guide! We were well informed while taken on the somber and significant journey of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life.
Andrea_A, Jun 2025
There is still a lot to learn and Jessica was excellent at telling and explaining the details. Great Job!
Tristan_J, May 2025
Jay was a great guide. We learned a lot from him on this tour and he kept us all entertained. He was also great at remembering everyone’s name!
The tour requires about 1 1/2 miles of walking and there are some small hills, but it wasn’t too bad as there were a number of breaks.
Christina_S, May 2025
Jay was an excellent tour guide with a wealth of knowledge thar he presented in an incredibly accessible way. He was entertaining and is clearly passionate about his work. Definitely would go on another tour with him!
