The walking tour was orated with lots of passion and background stories, that brought the town square’s history to life in a way that a self-guided walk would miss. We enjoyed our time on this tour

Misty and her partner Charlie were terrific as tour guides! Misty mixed historic facts with local stories and lore which I always love more than “just the facts.” The tour was a little over 90 minutes (which Misty checked in with the group before she went over the allotted time) and was largely around the old town plaza. I think our only pause for thought was just that, we were surprised it was around such a small portion of the town. Otherwise, Misty gets 5 stars from us!

This tour is an excellent way to learn the history of Albuquerque. It’s a good amount of time at 1.5 hours and not too much walking.
Vince is a great guide. We liked his animated story telling.

Should do this tour on your first day. Great way to see the whole city, get a brief history, see some out of the way sights and get an idea of where you want to explore more.

This was a short but sweet history tour of old town, Albuquerque. Our guide, Misty was fun, passionate and informative. It was really interesting to learn all the quirky things about old town. Misty was very considerate of our comfort, always stopping to give a little snippet of talk in the shade for us. I would highly recommend this tour!

Our guide Misty led us around Old Town sharing history and anecdotes. She made the information entertaining with her energy and deliver. We recommend this tour to appreciate Albuquerque’s long history that makes Plymouth Rock seem relatively modern. I was struck by the flooding and retreat of the Rio Grande River and how that shifted growth. Following the tour we ate lunch at a family owned place that Misty recommended and our food was delicious!!

It is a lot of standing listening to guide talk and little exploring. The history lesson would be better done inside.

While we often do classroom style presentations, our mission is to share both the past history and the current vitality of the Old Town area. Old Town is really a living museum where you get to walk the exact same paths that our founders walked 320 years ago.
Was there a problem with your ticketing or check in during your Tour? Was your guide friendly and knowledgeable? The seven other guests on your public tour posted their reviews each loving their experience and Guide!
As the oldest and highest rated walking tour in Albuquerque we take all feedback seriously and strive to meet expectations. After discussing your Tour with the Guide, it seems the weather was unpleasant and one in your party was having difficulty walking.
We wish we could control the weather! Albuquerque has over 300 days of Sunshine a year. Our Tours operate no matter the weather. I'm sorry it was raining during your tour and I offer the consolation that the high desert southwest does need the water.
Our PUBLIC tours are customly tailored to show the most locations in a limited amount of time. While there are places to sit down at almost every location, it is a WALKING Tour. Public Tours cover about 1/2 mile in 75-minutes. It sounds as if a PRIVATE Tour may have been a better option for you. Private Tours can go at YOUR pace and can even be done while comfortably seated in one place.

This was an excellent informative tour of the Old Town of Albuquerque. There is much history packed into the Old Town area that we were not aware of. The tour was also very fun with anecdotes along the way. The tour did not include a lot of walking, and we could sit often if we liked. Our tour guide Emily was very knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. We did have a little difficulty finding the meeting point. The TOURS sign is toward the back of a square containing several shops.

I took this tour with my wife and my cousin who lives in the area. Our guide was Vince and we thought he was exceptional. He animated his stories of the history of the area and was exceptionally entertaining. I found that the time of the tour passed very quickly. Vince gave our group of 6 ample opportunities to sit and listen, so there were plenty of breaks in walking. Vince held up historic photos in front of their current location which provided a great reference point for his stories. If you love, or even just like history, I highly recommend this tour. This is especially true if you love stories of the "Old West." My only suggestion to Vince would be to remind him that some of the restaurants he recommends are closed on Mondays. But plenty others were open.
