This was a fabulous way to see the town during a free afternoon at a conference. Very flat and easy biking as well as a knowledgable guide made the whole tour enjoyable.

This was a nice bike ride. ABQ is easy to get around on a bike and there is a lot to see around Old Town and beyond. The place doing the tour does many different tours and bike rentals.

This was my 1st bike tour and I had a great time! Lots of history and my guide took lots of great photos.

Heidi is awesome. She is very knowledgeable and made every minute of my ride fun, comfortable ,and safe. Loved the bike and coffee farm area and stopping by the river. I underestimated my water need but she was prepared. Couldn’t have had a nicer ride and Heidi was the reason. Enjoyed this beautiful city.

Heidi was great, and ultra knowledgeable about all areas of the nature ride! She even insisted we take it easy for awhile when my husband started showing signs of altitude problems (883’ is the altitude where we live) 🥴. We had to skip the neighborhood part, but thoroughly enjoyed the rest. Btw, he was fine within an hour after we finished!

We had what ended up being a private bike tour with Van and it was great!! Our 3 gymnasts loved getting out on the trail, doing handstands as we overlooked the river and standing on the banks of the Rio Grande. The 10 miles were filled with interesting history and cultural and an overall nice way to explore the city!

Heidi was terrific! Great intro to Albuquerque. Nice to be out in nature. Highly recommend. Best way to see parts of Albuquerque.

A wonderful tour with Van, a third generation resident who was very knowledgeable about both the history and contemporary culture of Albuquerque. He was attentive and shared the story of Albuquerque as well as some of the highlights of the city landscape with great enthusiasm. In addition, we ended up being the only people who signed up for the tour and they didn’t cancel and Routes, the tour company, had good bikes and equipment.

My girlfriend and I spent the weekend exploring Albuquerque. We decided to take a bike tour through the city as part of that exploration. Heidi was our guide and she was amazing. Very engaging, informative and fun. We saw many unique sites of the city, as well as many natural wonders that define Albuquerque. Heidi made the trip both fun and informative. I highly recommend this tour for new explorers to Albuquerque who want to see what the city has to offer. It’s a great way to start a visit and then narrow down your stay to sites that interest you for further exploration.

Wonderful bike tour! Josh was our guide and was friendly, knowledgeable, and took us to some cool local spots. We biked around Old Town, The Rio Grande, and when he found out my husband was a Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul fan, took us to a couple of filming spots. He also gave us some history of New Mexico and Albuquerque and I learned a few new facts about the area. We really enjoyed our experience from start to finish and would highly recommend this trip for anyone!

Amazing bike ride to Albuquerque Balloon Festival. The Routes Bicycle Shop team did a great job of narrating and showing the local highlights along the way.

Whilst this was a nature tour, I was left wanting more history. I was hoping for a local guide. Overpriced- I've booked excellent tours through V in Amsterdam and Paris, that cost far less. Lots of very nice river trail cycling in between stops, but this does mean missed opportunities to hear any further info. Whilst the organic farm was cute, is was not historical. I'd call it a cycle ride with a bit of info thrown in. Cycle hire and a map would have been equally enjoyable.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our Guided Nature tour. I appreciate your feedback and although this is one of our most beloved bike tours, I am always looking for ways to make it even better for every guest who joins! Our bike tours are priced consistently with (and most often lower than) other tours in our local market; unfortunately, it would be hard to bid against another country's ticket price. I would like to note that the organic farm visited on the tour is in fact very historic to the area - having been originally inhabited by the Ancestral Pueblo Indians in the 14th century. The Duranes Lateral, which forms the western boundary of the farm, is reputedly the oldest registered ditch in North America. To this day, the “Madre de Duranes” provides water to irrigate those pastures. All of which is generally shared (+more) on our tour. I will definitely take into consideration adding even more historic stops onto our nature tour, and I will share your feedback with our guides. Again, thank you for your feedback. Please email me at heather(at)routesrentals(dot)com if there was a specific type of history you were most interested in hearing on the tour, which you feel was missing from the narrative. I am always happy to send over more info! :)

Rob was very knowledgeable and also very flexible when it rained. Not sure it was a nature tour but was a great tour seeing parts of Albuquerque and learning about it’s history!

Josh couldn’t have been a better guide - best compact history of New Mexico and Albuquerque I’ve ever heard! The ride highlighted the balance of urban, rural, and protected land that makes ABQ so special! We had a large group of varying cycling experience but all were able to enjoy the ride itself. Thanks for a memorable start to our week!

Great history and views and quiet an adventure filed with stops and detours and interesting wildlife.
Pamela_M, Oct 2020
I’m not a cyclist but thought this would be a nice way to see the river and it was. Josh is knowledgeable about the area, being a native and all. He also gives very clear instructions in the art of cycling in the city although the time in traffic is limited. The narrative about the buildings and different architectural styles is amazing.
