What a fantastic...
What a fantastic experience! The North Beach Italian Food Tour was the perfect combination of delicious food, local history, and culture. The tour lasted just over three hours, which we felt was the ideal length. The food stops were perfectly spaced, with great variety and just the right portion sizes to keep us satisfied throughout the entire experience without feeling overly full.
Our tour guide, Brian, was absolutely fantastic! Being born and raised in the area, he brought an incredible amount of local knowledge and authenticity to the experience. He not only explained the different foods, their ingredients, and how they were prepared, but also shared fascinating stories about the neighborhood’s history and culture. It was clear that Brian knew the area inside and out, along with many of the people who make North Beach so special.
Overall, this was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Great food, great pacing, wonderful stories, and an exceptional guide. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Francisco!

Worth the climb
Our guide, Eric was great! He shared history of both San Francisco and the locations with pictures that helped to to better understand what we were seeing and why. He had a loud speaking voice that could be heard above the active streets we walked. He was a great story teller that was captivating throughout the tour. One note to those considering this tour: you have to walk up VERY steep hills (nobb hill). I had no problem and our guide gave plenty of time for everyone in our group to make it to the top, however if you struggle with walks that are more than a stroll, you might want to pass on this one. I personally enjoyed it so much, I might book it again when my husband can join me.

Great Food! Will not disappoint!
Jamie was fantastic! He taught our group so much about the different streets of San Francisco and the history behind them. I never expected to learn so much. The food was also amazing! He treated us to so much more than I was expecting, like Boba Tea and Pineapple Bread. All of the food was absolutely delicious,
and he accommodated my food allergies, which I greatly appreciated. I left this tour feeling so full and well taken care of!

Tasty and informative tour
Brian was a great tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and sights, and seemed to love sharing it with us. He had a great sense of humor, and adapted his information to what we were most interested in hearing about. We really appreciate that he did the tour for only three of us, and spent an extra half hour with us. The variety and amount of food was just right.

Learning everywhere we go
We highly recommend a food tour to help discover a new city. The food is always tasty but the true discovery is in learning the street level history of the city and its neighborhoods. This tour was a great example covering all those bases. Our guide knew the the neighborhood well and is deeply committed to it. Lots of great information and good food.

Excellent customer service and tour guide!
Viator was very flexible with our changing cruise ship arrival time. Tatya was over the top excellent. She gave us very useful information, she was knowledgeable, entertaining, and had a very bubbly personality. Highly recommend this excursion and if you can request Tatya, she will make your experience even better!!!

Take this tour
Great tour. We saw a lot of San Francisco’s famous sites, stopping every so often for photo ops. I was very happy that we were able to stop at the bridge for photos. Spent just the right amount of time at Muir Woods so we could hike and take in the beauty of nature. We also added the Alcatraz tour, amazing. Our tour guide made the tour extraordinary; he had lots of stories and information about the city.

Best day trip to Yosemite ever!!!
We had Sharon as our tour guide and wow. We had the bestest day ever! The most perfect day ever.
Sharon made sure that we had absolutely everything that we needed. From wipes to bottled water and even our personal photographer!!
Sharon went out of her way to make sure that we had the most amazing day for a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so glad that we had Sharon as our guide!
Yes it’s a long day, but we were well looked after and entertained! Sharon has an amazing playlist for the journey in and out of Yosemite which just set the mood from the excitement of arriving, relaxing spectacular view and San Francisco themed songs for our journey back.
We took the trip in a different bus than usual due to some problems that they had with their original vehicle in the past. Roberto, the driver, was excellent, polite, professional and a smooth driver on some crazy roads!
This trip is most definitely worth it. If you get the chance you must take this trip! You will not regret it. Make sure you pack a charging wire (usb) or a power bank as your battery will be drained from taking so many photos!
Thank you so much Sharon! We have made memories to last a lifetime!

Go with an open mind and comfortable walking shoes
Expect to laugh and walk up and down a few hills. Christian gives you honest stories whether they’re true, speculations or who knows. Either way, we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
We had a good group from all over the states. The tour is about 90 minutes but it flies by, we would’ve been happy going longer as we were having fun.
Definitely recommend to check this tour out.

Super experience & well worth it!
This tour was lots of fun. What a great experience to bike over the bridge! Marcus was a great guide—patient, informative, fun. He fixed my son's flat tire on the spot no problem. Dress warmly as it gets windy and chilly even in July. Def opt for the E-bikes—it made the ride fun and very easy. It would've been a slog with regular bikes. In addition to the bridge, Marcus took us by the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, Crissy Field, etc., and gave us some great history of the area. Don't pay extra to leave the bikes on the Sausalito side. It's super easy to bring them back on the ferry and you can keep the bikes until 8pm so can do whatever you like with the bikes the rest of the day. We explored Sausalito, had lunch, brought the bikes back on the ferry, then rode them to Alcatraz Landing and locked them up there while doing the Alcatraz tour, then returned them afterwards. Marcus got incredible pics for us at the bridge too! Highly recommend this experience.

Don’t miss this!
Wow! What a great way to experience the Mission District. Mark was an amazing guide, full of information and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed this itinerary, the history and of course the food. Don’t hesitate to book this if you are looking for a great overview of history, culture and delicious food tastings!

Great tour! Highly recommend!
Wow! Linda is amazing! Getting a tour of Chinatown from a Chinatown native was so valuable. She knew such cool old stories and facts about the people of Chinatown. My sisters, Mom and I did a Saturday morning tour and it was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you, Linda! You were wonderful!

Move over cable cars—San Francisco is a town best explored on foot. The compact city is 7 square miles (18 square kilometers) of dense neighborhoods, historic alleyways, hilltop viewpoints, and urban green spaces. While San Francisco walking tours are great for experiencing the unique character of city neighborhoods—and even a certain world-renowned bridge—they can venture beyond the beaten trails that bus tours rarely tread. They're also often organized around themes such as architecture, hiking, street art, cuisine, history, and even ghosts.
