Our 8-hour tour with...

Our 8-hour tour with Aristotle was the most amazing experience we could have expected. He was full of knowledge as a historian and archaeologist and also served as an excellent photographer. Having served as a Parliamentary guard himself, Aristotle was able to give us an amazing inside view of the changing of the guard. Our time spent at the Parthenon was tremendous, but the time spent at the Agora was even better. We highly recommend this tour and especially our tour guide Aristotle.

DONT USE Theodore’s Tours in Athens !!

Sabastian was an excellent guide - he was right on time and easy to find when we got off the cruise !! BUT, if you book this tour BEWARE or THEODORES TOURS there were 4 of us and they MADE us upgrade to a van instead of a sedan because we had luggage and they said it wouldn’t fit ! Which it totally would have .. Then we had to pay 150 euro up charge for the van .. This was all the night before the excursion so we were stuck .. I felt VERY taken advantage of !!! No other tour we did had an up charge for a van they all brought vans even if there were just two of us .. I would think a tour company should accommodate their passengers! Theodore’s TOURS seemed like a BIG rip off !!! We enjoyed the tour but the up charge that we were forced into was ridiculous!! Hopefully viator will use a different company from now on !!

Amazing experience and even accommodated our delay

My sister and I had a wonderful time exploring the Acropolis sites and its museum. The group was about 20 people and we could hear our guide great the entire time. I believe our tour guide’s name is Marina. She was so amazing! Very friendly, happy and knowledgeable person who seems passionate about history. This made for such a wonderful time. She has photos and diagrams to show us historical context which is a great touch. I’d ask for her if I did another tour for sure! Be ready for quite a bit of walking, going up and down steep trails, and very uneven and sometimes quite slippery trails (largely made of marble, so people smooth it as they walk on it, to the point it’s like polished marble). Be careful and enjoy!

Meteora is sn amazing place to experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch was delicious, but the dinner was disappointing. I had salad and the greens were heavy with dressing and very wilted. It was an otherwise wonderful day.

Don't pass this one up!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. It was our first full day in Athens and it gave us a chance to familiarize ourselves with the old section of the city however the food was the star of the tour. They say show up hungry but I would say show up very hungry. The was plenty, and there was a wide variety to eat and drink. Our tour guide Anna was fantastic. She introduced us to a wide variety of Greek cuisine and gave a history of the items. We definitely would recommend this tour to our family and friends for it's value and we didn't have to look for a place to eat that day.

We very much enjoyed our walking tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Our guide Yota was very knowledgeable about the classical period and provided excellent insights into the people, the history and the design of the buildings on the Acropolis. The walk itself was a good pace for the people in our group. Our guide was very helpful navigating the Acropolis Museum. She provided excellent insights into many of the artifacts on display. Definitely recommend this combined tour.

Great Acropolis Tour

Unfortunately we got a bit lost getting to the meeting point, but our your guide waited for us. Our guide was exceptional. Her beautiful voice and her knowledge of the ruins was great. I wish I had a recording of it. She stopped quite often to give us all time to catch our breath telling us history at every turn. I would highly recommend this tour.

Easy to moderate pace to Acropolis!

Visiting from the US and chose this tour for our family. I am always concerned when booking and paying ahead of the tour, but we were very happy with the tour of the Acropolis and museum. Our tour guide, Frozzo (but you can call her Frozen 🤣), was knowledgeable and delivered the information perfectly. We ascended the site at and easy to moderate pace. My brother in law, who is at a slower pace, was able to ascend with little problems. The crowd of people gave him time to stop and recover a little before moving forward. While viewing the amazing site, she told us the history and the importance of what we were touring. She was able to get us all past the unusually long line of people and into the museum. The museum is absolutely fascinating and she added information that was easy to understand and appreciate. You won’t be disappointed in this tour. Wear durable and comfortable walking shoes or athletic shoes. Check the weather for how to dress. Our day was overcast, cool and windy, which I willl take over hot and sunny!

Great experience! Natasha was terrific! She was super knowledgable and you could tell she cared passionately for her native Athens. Expect huge crowds. Challenging but not difficult hike to top. Just take your time. Bathrooms do not exist at the top. It is best to go before you get your tickets. You will have a chance again once you come down. Include the Acropolis museum in your tour. It is well worth it. The museum ticket also includes the excavation site under the museum, which was super fascinating.

If you’re going on the...

If you’re going on the tour in the afternoon to try and get sunset photos, just know that will be very weather dependent. We had done the same but it was blustery and we had nice atmospheric pictures of the temple but none with a nice sunset. It was still a wonderful experience, we enjoyed sitting along the cliff and the view of the Aegean.

Worth it

My wife and I booked this trip after comparing other similar trips and chose this one based on the previous reviews. Previous travelers did not disappoint. The boat was excellent and in great condition. The food was some of the best in Athens so far. The crew was enjoyable and had very clear communication. The islands were very nice and the swimming spots were also excellent. Totally worth taking a day trip. Would do this again.

Hermes was incredible....

Hermes was incredible. Very knowledgeable and shared many stories and also added some humor to keep things going. Great tour of acropolis area and then museum. It was nice we ended at museum so you could stay and see things not highlighted on the tour. Also, unlike other tours I’ve done you get you’re physical ticket so you are able to access sites like the excavation museum as well
