Jason provides a very informative and enjoyable tour. His knowledge of the area (plants and rock formations) was enthusiastically shared throughout the tour. He encouraged questions and the group enjoyed the shared learning, hiking, and each other’s company- all due to Jason’s friendly nature. He was very mindful of varying abilities and provided helpful guidance throughout the trails.

Jason, our guide, was great. Educational enough, but with a great sense of humor. The park is really beautiful. Getting a tour was smart because it’s a big place. Going it alone would certainly mean missing some of the lesser known fun facts about the place.

Sophie was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about the park, knew the spots to see and was able to provide context about what we were seeing. It was a great tour! Really informational and hit all the cool spots in the park. Tour guide was great, had a lot of knowledge and was entertaining. The tour itself was low-intensity, a few short walks and optional harder scrabbling areas, but great photo opportunities.

We live near the desert, in San Diego. We visited with friends from New York. In all our travels to the area over the past 30 years, we’d never visited Joshua Tree. My bad.
So this was a great 4 hr tour in an air conditioned van.
I was very aware of the images of Joshua Trees, but had no idea that they were surrounded by all these remarkable rock structures. Nor of the biology of the Joshua Trees.
Our guide, Jason, exuded his love for this somewhat brutal area. We learned a lot about the history of the ancient trees that only live here, and what the current geologic beliefs are regarding the modes of creation of all these remarkable rock spectacular rock formations.

We were treated graciously and with respect, instantly provided with refreshments, and were given a variety of options throughout the tour as to what we could do due to physical needs or restrictions. Would highly recommend. The tour guide, Jason, was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. No experience required to get the most out of the national park tour.

We had a good visit to Joshua Tree with Jason as our tour leader. He was very attentive to everyone in the group and knowledgeable about the area, the plants and the history. We stopped at a number of places and saw some of the key sites in the park. Water and snack bars were available for everyone. Our recommendations to improve the tour would be an updated van to make it easier to access the third row seats and a speaker system so that everyone could hear the discussion in the van while driving.

My wife and thoroughly enjoyed our extended tour of Joshua Tree national park. Our tour group ended up with only four people which made it feel like a private tour. That was awesome because we were able to visit extra destinations in the park for amazing views of the geological formations and desert plant life. We had no idea that there was so much to see in the deserts of California. Well worth the 50min drive from Palm Springs to experience this desert tour.

Wonderful springtime introduction to the park. It is fascinating. Sophie is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the variety of elements and activities surrounding you as you explore a number of sections. She offered alternatives and took the experiences of others to decide where to go next. Her discussion of how climbers use the park was very informative. Sophie is a great guide. Take the tour. It is well worth it!!
