This is a "must" if you are in the Coachella Valley. Gorgeous views, fresh mountain air, nice trail. We ate lunch at Peaks Restaurant. We had reservations fortunately or would have had a long wait for a table otherwise. Peaks has great food! A thoroughly enjoyable visit, especially on a hot day.

It was easy to make arrangements on line! We loved the tram ride up and the dining experience afterward--we felt like little kids going up--the music and the guides were great and had loads of information to share with us. Would definitely recommend this--and we've been to Palm Springs a number of times without knowing how much fun this would be!

Due to a issue with the tram, rides were not available on the date of my tickets. High wind could have been a factor too.

I want to go again!

Cheryl_M, May 2026
Lots of fun. Very exciting. The views are exceptional. The gondola drivers are fun and personable. The restaurants are reasonably priced.

No power!

CINDY_H, May 2026
Tram was running very late due to electrical failure. Friend said it did the same last week but people were stuck on tram for 8 hours!

Had a good time. Had lunch there. Had steak sandwich. It was so tough. Hard to even cut the sandwich in half

Palm Springs MUST do

Andrea_D, Apr 2026
The aerial tram was amazing. The views and experience were a must while in Palm Springs. The staff was also very knowledgeable and kind.

Be smart!

MaryAnn_B, Apr 2026
The weather at the bottom will not be the same as at the top. Check their website for current conditions and dress appropriately. You can buy a sweatshirt at the top but why would you want to?

3 fun experiences in one

Lee_D, Apr 2026
It’s 3 experiences in one: the dramatic, scenic ride (with a little dj action from the operator), the hike up top with viewpoints, and then a nice meal at the restaurant (try the chicken burger with fries). Plan for 2-3 hours and bring a jacket because it really is a lot cooler up there.

Worth the trip!

Sandra_B, Apr 2026
Wow, it was fantastic! It was everything it claimed to be. The tram was so exciting. We had lunch at Peaks and the food and service was great.

Don’t miss the experience

Christine_F, Apr 2026
Very comfortable ride up the mountain. Spectacular views! Bring a jacket as it’s cold up there, even in summer

Amazing views!

Madhubala_P, Apr 2026
Great views and trails I must do if you come to this area. This café is and bar and also picnic benches if you go on a trail amazing views.

Couldn’t attend

Tim_B, Apr 2026
I got these tickets as a birthday surprise for my lady, but on the day we were to go, I learned she can’t go up to that kind of height that quickly due to a migraine condition she has. This company gladly refunded my money without issue. I’m sorry we weren’t able to go, because the reviews are great and I love nature.

Gotta do this

Julie_S, Apr 2026
Plan for an hour inside the buildings, and at least an hour outside! Chilly up top but 100% enjoyable. Don't litter! Saw some trash in nature. Sad.

Excellent experience! Had a delightful time and the temps were great.

Maria_T, Apr 2026
Take a jacket for when you get to the top of Mt. San Jacinto! It’s mighty cold. So beautiful and lots to see.

Breathtaking experience!

Dana_L, Apr 2026
Great views and hiking options. The initial descent is not ideal for individuals with hip or knee replacement. Breathtaking experience!

Highly Recommend

Barbara, Apr 2026
Friendly staff- from team operators, to store and restaurant. Great views and easy hiking of short trail.

Nature the beautiful

Peter_K, Apr 2026
The tram ride is smooth and not scary. It offers a wonderful communal experience. The hiking is awesome inspiring and the restaurant, Peaks, is not to be missed!

Western bluebird sanctuary

Jayme_M, Apr 2026
Worth every penny! The nature trail is perfect for valley overviews. The incline back to base is steep but one step at a time and you can do it! So may western bluebirds in mid April!

Consider Viator

Michael_R, Apr 2026
With Viator, you purchase your ticket and are issued a ticket voucher which you take with you, (or download to your phone.), then you receive your actual ticket at the Tram ticket center. The whole process was very easy and efficient! Parking Fee is separate! (Which you pay when you enter the park!). I recommend this purchasing process, for others to consider, and look forward to future trips myself!

Don't book until same day

Connie_D, Apr 2026
Don't use viator, we which commits you to a specific day. We intended to hike at the top but it was snowing and zero visibility for photos. The visitor center and restaurants and bathroom and lookout area were very nice. Clean.

Polite but Firm

Michael_A, Apr 2026
I enjoyed the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, but the Viator listing was misleading. I thought I bought tickets, but it was actually just a voucher that still required waiting in line and then waiting again for the next available tram. This added about 40 minutes to my visit. Since I had another event at 7:00 pm, I had to shorten my time at the top. The attraction is great, but Viator needs to be more transparent about what customers are actually purchasing.

Wonderful

James_P, Apr 2026
Worth every second of the trip. Nice people. Very safe. Tremendous views from top of the mountain and a really good food at the restaurant.

What an adventure!...

David_C, Apr 2026
What an adventure! Another must-do activity in Palm Springs. The history is impressive but the climb itself is something out of this world! The views from the top are unmatched! You will not be disappointed.

Tram

Randy_W, Apr 2026
Beautiful on the way up and at the top but, lots of time waiting in line to get there. Went in April, so maybe later in the year would be better.

Fabulous Experience

Judith_C, Apr 2026
The customer service team was wonderful. For a high volume tourist I, everyone was helpful and smiling. The gondola ride back down was made more memorable with the operator playing 70’s tunes and involving the riders to sing along. If you get Gil as your operator, you lucked out! View spectacular and the restaurant surprisingly very good. Don’t forget to bring your jacket! The elevation of 8500 can be quite cool.

Would do again!

Lissette_A, Apr 2026
The Tramway is ventilated with fresh air and a couple of open windows. The music on the way up and down is great! The views are spectacular and well worth the trip. The restaurant closes at 4pm and re-opens at 5pm but there is another cafe. The gift shop is fabulous!

Excellent Customer Service

Eric_L, Apr 2026
Sadly we could not go on the cable car but I can tell you that Viator’s customer service was exceptional. We had our 5 yr old Granddaughter and were very much looking forward to our trip. Viator refunded our payment immediately. I would absolutely book another excursion through Viator!!
