Very nice staff. Easy to find the location and get started. Every personality was different, knowledgeable and wonderful but Sally was the best! She was hysterical! We learned a lot. The hop on and off was perfect especially on a beautiful day!

Save yourself a day. So much to see and learn. It's a reasonable price, and you can get on and off trolleys as much as you need. Bus driver was knowledgeable and drove through areas I couldn't do with my car. Music was wonderful.

Great activity

Lorrie_E, Jun 2026
Easy way to get around the city. Very informative - lots of fun and learned great historical stories

Hop-off but never back ON

Melanie_R, Jun 2026
The hop-off worked fine, but we were never able to hop back on. We waited at 3 stops for 20-30 minutes each and every trolly was full! Then they just stopped coming by. This was a total waste of money. And my family of 6 cost almost $400

We were so glad we booked this trolley tour! Definitely made it a lot easier to see the whole city without having to pay for parking everywhere you went. The trolleys were constantly running so you didn’t feel like you were going to miss any stops. And an added bonus is the drivers telling you all the history along the way!

Great day!

Annette_W, Jun 2026
Very informative and knowledgeable host. We saw many interesting sites and learned a lot about Boston and its history.

Highly Recommend

MICHELE_S, Jun 2026
Every single bus driver we travelled with gave us good insights and history. Despite the Boston roads being blocked due to work and a race, they were able to bypass and still point out interesting sights and facts. The bus tracker was great too. Highly recommend!

Must Do in Boston

Very nice staff. Easy to find the location and get started. Every personality was different, knowledgeable and wonderful but Sally was the best! She was hysterical! We learned a lot. The hop on and off was perfect especially on a beautiful day!

Tour was good but would not recommend Viatour app

Carol_O, Jun 2026
Good tour but limited hours of daytime operation. They quit by 4 or so to get ready for nighttime tour sales

Post-cruise sight seeing

Scott_S, Jun 2026
The usual hop-on/hop-off experience. Most drivers have a good sense of humor and a great knowledge of the area. Got good advice on best way to get to shops/restaurants off their normal routes.

Boston Solo Trip

Jerome_S, Jun 2026
It's a wonderful way to see the majority of areas to see. The history you hear on the trolley is in great detail as well.

Worth the Ride and Sites

Jeleena_H, Jun 2026
Some of the signs say the tour ends at 7pm (I believe it’s a the TD Gardens) drop off, but it doesn’t. I got on the back line, thinking I could get back on my original trolley to get dropped off where I started (stop 2). But nope, 4/4:15p the trip ended and I had to get off causing me to walk 20 min when I could’ve never gotten off the original bus. Ms. Beantown was the best part of this experience for me. I did love seeing everything, but I couldn’t hear the three other drivers very well. Thanks Ms. Beantown for telling me how to get back to my car and just being awesome!

Hop on Hop off Tours was a Blast!!!

Drivers were very knowledgeable about Boston's history. Not boring at all. They were very skilled at driving on Boston's streets.

Carol_D, Jun 2026
Difficult to hear the information because of the wind entering into the bus. Delays in bus stops between stops longer than expected.

Cheers to Boston

Vivian_G, Jun 2026
Trolley picked up & departed on time. There is not a bad seat on the trolly. Our driver was very engaging and made the trip load of fun. Got a great feel for Boston in one combined trip

Great trolley tour of Boston

Kevin_D, Jun 2026
A very good trip - excellent bus drivers with great knowledge! Good history of Boston delivered! There are three routes covering most of Boston but the green route definitely most interesting! We should have got there earlier to do all three as it meant our VFM wasn’t achieved fully. Would have liked to go over to Cambridge to MIT and Harvard but none of the routes went there.

Texans Boston trip - June 2026

David_S, Jun 2026
We got a later start on the trolley since we had just flown in for our visit…so didn’t get to see much of the scheduled stops. However, for the stops we did see and hear about by our trolley driver were great. Got off at the Cheers stop and enjoyed our time there.

Hopping in Boston

Jeff_C, Jun 2026
The narrators were ok, some were very informative, some just talked continually and became annoying. The buses became full are we weren't able to get on at some stops.

Waste of time and money!

Valerie_C, Jun 2026
Worst tour ever. First, FIFA is in town and traffic is impossible. NOT the fault of the tour. Several stops were unavailable, also NOT the fault of the tour. However there was no alternative plans, no backup, no plan B and we were charged full price to not see much of anything we were promised. We were on the same loop on 3 different trolleys and forced off at a stop we didn’t want to get off at without warning on the first 2 loops. We had to catch a 3rd trolley to just flee at the closest place we needed to go to get off! I expect much better from Viator. Not worth the cost at all.

Funny and informative.

Ballah_Y, Jun 2026
We enjoyed the tour. We left on time. Our tour guides were great; they gave us the history of all the sites and landmarks we saw. We had maps to follow along as we made our way through the tour route. The ride was comfortable and filled with lots of fun and jokes. Our first tour guide was very funny and engaging. We would certainly like to go on another trolley tour again.

Great experience! would recommend it to everyone! My 18 year old grandson loved it!

Elizabeth_A, Jun 2026
Save yourself a day. So much to see and learn. It's a reasonable price, and you can get on and off trolleys as much as you need. Bus driver was knowledgeable and drove through areas I couldn't do with my car. Music was wonderful.

Not on time

Kevin_R, Jun 2026
Company say trolley come every 20 minutes but that was not case. At two different pick locations one was 45 minutes late and the other time after waiting a hours we call and they dispatched a trolley to come get us. To me that isn’t the way to visits sites when the company doesn’t pick you up to visit them.

Disappointing oh so poor trolly

Debra_K, Jun 2026
Poorly run. Not on time. We were late for everything we wanted to see & visit. We were left stranded for over an hour at Seaport. Called & employee hung up on me. Poor visibility from trolly windows. Steps to trolly are steep & difficult. Stops are not clearly identifiable. Overall, poor disappointing experience that was a waste of money & time. Can i get a refund for day 2 since we didn't return after day 1 was a disaster?

Was only in Boston for...

Lynda_L, Jun 2026
Was only in Boston for one day and this made it easy to get a broadview of Boston in a very short time. We had lunch at Cheers and snacks and shopping at Fenuil Hall.

Roberta_Y, Jun 2026
We got to see a lot of Boston once we could finally get on the trolley. Took a lot longer than expected

Highly recommended …

karyn_k, Jun 2026
Very historical!! A must if you’ve never been to Boston before. Lots of help along the way. I called the office for concerns and someone answered ASAP. Bandit, the driver, was excellent.

Cold and rainy but nicely entertained

Michelle_S, May 2026
Come prepared for weather, and to walk to see the city. This tour gives you an excellent tour of the city by combining history with little known facts.

Be careful who the driver/guide is !!!!!

Ellen_S, May 2026
We had a horrible experience and got off at 2nd stop and took a Lyft home. It all depends on who the guide is. We took this trolley based on the recommendation of a friend who raved about her experience. While we were waiting in line one of the guys who checked us in raved about a guide he thought we were getting - Stacy? - who he said was wonderful. We did not get Stacy. The guy we got - Gemini - was unintelligible. The people on the back of the bus said it wasn't loud enough but the real issue was he could not be understood. He had a script that he recited but neither I nor my partner could understand a word he was saying. We got off at Faneuil Hall and took a Lyft home. What was supposed to be a special day in the city turned into a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Rain or Shine, the Best Way to Explore Boston

Sunshynne_N, May 2026
I had a fantastic time on the Boston Hop-on Hop-off Trolley! Even with some rain, we stayed perfectly comfortable thanks to the window covers. The highlight was definitely the guides—they were hilarious, friendly, and managed to make history both informative and incredibly fun. What really made this tour shine was the online site that tracks the trolleys in real-time; it was absolutely awesome and helped us plan our day so efficiently. While you do need to transfer to different lines to reach certain areas, the guides and drivers were incredibly dependable. They made sure we knew exactly where to go and helped us hop onto the correct trolleys so we never felt lost. Highly recommended for a stress-free and entertaining way to see Boston!

Stan_G, May 2026
Wasn’t as good as other cities I’ve been on. Couldn’t hear well and talked about stuff we had gone by at last stop instead of where we were or what was coming up at next stop.
