Superb

Our guide, Yoshi-san, was amazing! He was well-organized, knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. Almost immediately after I booked the tour he sent me intro email along with extensive guide for potential areas to visit (with popular selections by first time visitors like us separately colour-coded), stayed patient during the planning stage while I took my time to review the guide and determine where I wanted to go, then responded right away with suggested itinerary once I had made my selection. He also accommodated our schedule change with grace. During the tour I could tell he had anticipated all our questions because he had a binder with all the answers and more. I had selected Shibamata as one of the sites and even though this is an area far from the centre of Tokyo he did not show hesitation. Thanks to Yoshi-san we got to see Tokyo in many different personas, from Shibamata and Nezu to Harajuku and Takeshita Street. It was scorching hot on our tour day and it was very tiring to be out in the oppressive heat but he remained professional and kind throughout our tour. I can’t thank him enough for showing us Tokyo. Truly a gentleman and a very competent guide. We were lucky to have Yoshi-san as our guide!

Wonderful, flexible, and fun!

Our guide and driver were both fantastic. I was traveling with my husband and two teenagers and this was the last day of a 2 week trip. Our guide asked questions about our interests and experiences to plan a great day, then quickly flexed when the weather made us change plans! Good way to experience this bar area!

Our guide was truly great!! We had a nice small group and got to try a few different items and got some good information to start the next bit of our trip. I didn't love the area since the bars are so small.. but that just makes me extra happy I went with a guide!! I would have been overwhelmed on my own. This let me experience it all safely and with explanation!! Our group had a good time and went out after the guide went home.

It was a great tour with...

It was a great tour with our guide Yoshio! It was more than just food sampling but there was plenty of very tasty treats. He started the tour with a visit to the Buddhist temple we met in front of. We also when to another shrine later in the tour. It was just our family group and he offered a nice break to cool down and have a refresher indoors (visited in July). He was very friendly and informative.

Perfect day in Tokyo

I had a great day with Renaud! He is a very interesting guy and despite being from France, is fluent in Japanese and knows the culture and customs of Japan better than most Japanese people. He can customize the tour to include just about any important sites to the itinerary, so do a little research before to ensure you make it the best day possible for what you want to see. I am a history professor by trade and he was very good about pointing out details about our stops that he knew I’d like relating to Tokyo’s unique history. There are many options for tours out there but this is the one you should take if you really want the true local experience. Renaud has lived in Japan for two decades and designed this tour to be perfect and highlight the very best things to see in Tokyo. Don’t waste your time, just book this tour and be done with it. Great tour - family friendly and great way to use the time wisely

Great way to spend a day with a family without having to figure things out on your own. we scheduled it for our first full day in Tokyo so it was a great way to knock out the big items and get familiar with the area. Our tour guide Yuki was so incredible. She was kind and patient, especially with our kids ages 12 and 8. Highly recommend and ask for Yuki!

We had a 4 hour private tour where Ryoko met us at reception at our hotel and navigated us through the rail system. We were able to tailor our own destinations prior to the tour and take time out for shade and rest. Our first destination was the East Garden of the Imperial Palace. Afterwards, Ryoko gave us some fabulous shopping tips and assisted us back to our local train station where our hotel shuffle bus was parked. We really enjoyed the tour, the flexibility and touring at our own pace. We saw a new side of Tokyo through the eyes of a local and by riding the trains and walking through the streets of Marunouchi and Ginza

First time trip to Tokyo was amazing!

Shuhei was our guide. He was amazing and planned an awesome day filled with wonderful places to see for our first trip to Japan. He asked about what we liked and anything that we definitely wanted to see. He adjusted as needed and went at our pace. He was very attentive to my mom since she is older and moved a little slower. It was an awesome day and grateful for the knowledge and history Shuhei was able to share with us. The place he picked for lunch was great and provided a true Japanese experience.

Worth the tour

Very interesting hearing so much history. Do not, however, go on a Monday as the local shops they say you will see are closed. That was disappointing, but recovered as we were here in April and got to see the Azeala festival at one of the many shrines we saw.
