We had such a wonderful experience with our guide Mayumi on our 4-hour tour, and I cannot recommend our guide enough. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive and professional—she stayed in touch with me through email beforehand, shared helpful information, and made it clear she was ready to assist in any way possible. She met us right at our hotel, which made everything so easy and comfortable from the start. Throughout the tour, she truly went above and beyond—helping us get our transport cards, showing us how to top them up, and guiding us smoothly through the city. The tour itself was excellent. She took us to several key places (including three that were free), and even in between stops, she gave us a mini tour of other sights along the way. Her knowledge of the city was exceptional—she was incredibly informative, engaging, and made everything feel effortless and enjoyable. What we especially appreciated was all the extra insight she shared—recommendations for shopping, dining, and things to do—which made the rest of our trip so much easier to plan. Easy to book and worked out great

We needed to be picked up at the Cruise Terminal in Tokyo, drive to a few spots in Tokyo and then be dropped off at Narita. "Mike" from Sakura Tokyo was on-time and spoke very good English. He was very easy to work with and made our final hours in Japan very satisfying as he was very flexible and informative.

If you want to experience the Tsukiji Outer Market beyond the main stalls, this tour is worth booking. Yuki was a professional and knowledgeable guide who provided great context on Japanese food culture and the history of the market. Yuiko was a great guide for our day in Tokyo.

We had a great day of guided Tokyo experiences. Yuiko was our guide and she was wonderful. She did everything possible to make sure that we got everything we wanted from our day. She was also very warm, friendly, and caring. She did a lot of prep to make our day efficient, but was also flexible. Our first stop was the Tsukiji Fish Market. She offered that we could take the train or a 20 minute walk from our hotel. We opted to walk, which allowed us to walk through Ginza as well. We stopped by the Nissan showroom and our son loved that.

Good Experience

I did this tour with Lisa as my guide. I’m also 7 1/2 months pregnant and she was very accommodating and understanding, and point out and make time for restroom stops. This was greatly appreciated. She was very kind and informative. The lunch option was also great with good food. Overall, this was a great experience and I would recommend this tour and Lisa as a guide. It is a long day though, so be prepared for that and lots of walking!

Great Walking Tour of Tokyo

Our guide, Keiji led us on the Tokyo Private Day Trip walking tour to many of the places we were told to see while in Tokyo including the Meiji Shrine and the Tokyo Tower. Keiji was very kind and shared a wealth of historic and background information at the different sites that we would not have known going on our own, That enhanced our understanding and enjoyment. We recommend this tour to those who would like to see these sites. Be forewarned that in addition to walking for hours, most locations involve going up and down a lot of stairs to get into and out of the sites, as well as the subway trains.

Worth the tour

Very interesting hearing so much history. Do not, however, go on a Monday as the local shops they say you will see are closed. That was disappointing, but recovered as we were here in April and got to see the Azeala festival at one of the many shrines we saw. We just completed a private Tokyo tour with Sherilyn (“Custom Highlights and Hidden Gems”), and it exceeded all expectations. In just 4 hours, she managed to give us a rich, well-paced experience that included multiple shrines, the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and even the Godzilla Information Map in Shinjuku—plus many other interesting stops along the way. Sherilyn was absolutely on a mission—in the best possible way. She maximized every minute, ensuring we not only saw a lot but also understood the history, culture, and context behind each location. It never felt rushed, just incredibly efficient and engaging. What really stood out was her communication and professionalism. She reached out via WhatsApp well before our arrival in Tokyo, making coordination easy and giving us confidence going into the tour. During the tour, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. We logged over 13,000 steps (per my Apple Watch), which says a lot about how much ground we covered—but it was worth every step. Tokyo full day tour

Yuki was an amazing tour guide for our last stop of the cruise in Tokyo. It was our first time visiting Tokyo, and we came at the perfect time to see the cherry blossoms. Even though it was raining, we still had such a great time exploring the city and using the subway to get around. I had a few specific things I wanted to find, including Onitsuka Tiger shoes and Pokémon cards, and Yuki was incredibly helpful. He knew exactly where to go and made the experience easy and enjoyable. He was also so kind and thoughtful that he even picked up Pokémon cards for us and gifted them to us, which made the day even more memorable. Yuki was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable navigating such a large city for the first time. One day in Tokyo is definitely not enough, and we would absolutely use Yuki again the next time we come back!
