It was fun discovering areas of Tokyo with Sam. She guided my teenage son and I perfectly, we had a really good time together. Super organized, knowledgeable, kind and very attentive in picking up on things we were interested in visiting.

This tour was fantastic beginning to end. Yoshi was an amazing guide. He took us to all the places we wanted to see, and even remade the schedule because we had seen a few places on our own. He was so knowledgeable and made it interesting for our 3 teenage boys. He took us to ancient shrines and the most modern and novel parts of Tokyo. I especially appreciated that he took us on the subways so we could get the experience without having to learn it all ourselves. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It was the highlight of our trip to Tokyo. And I would highly recommend Yoshi any day. He was the best!

We had a wonderful time touring Tokyo with Sam ( Masafumi Miyazaki). We were visiting Japan for our first time and do not speak Japanese, to say we were nervous was an understatement. Sam made us feel relaxed and at ease. He communicated clearly and asked about our interest prior to personalize our experience.
He met us at our hotel and guided us through the complex Tokyo subway. We visited Shibuya crossing and Hachiko Square. We visited Meiji Jingu where he provided us insight to the culture and history. We then went shopping at Takeshita Street Square. He even took us to a dog cafe that my daughter wanted to visit. He was very laid back and patient. We even visited Shinjuku and Omoide Yokocho. Lastly he even took us shopping at MEGA Don Quijote!
We had a exceptional time. Sam was very professional and respectful. The tour provided us the opportunity to to visit all these places stress free.

Taku did a great job relating the history & traditions of Tokyo, Japan to all the places that we saw, a very informative tour & such an epic cultural immersion! Hiring him as a guide was a massive savings of time & energy as we agreed to a reasonable list of sights before heading out with the time allotted & simply followed him around major sights in town. Definitely a must for your first time super hassle free time in Tokyo!

I had the pleasure of experiencing Tokyo with Hideaki as my guide. He was the most informative guide I’ve ever had and he has the kindest spirit. We hustled around Tokyo, breaking only for lunch! I’m so impressed with how much I got to see, and Hideaki taught me how to navigate the subway system so I was able to do it alone the remainder of my trip. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!

Show was not only knowledgeable and polite, but also a great photographer, and also knew about the best places to take beautiful photos.

Worth the money if you only have a couple days in Tokyo. Guide Sam was very knowledgeable about Japanese history.

I booked the Tokyo 6hr Instagram Highlights Private Tour to get a lot of content for our social media sites during my short stay in Tokyo.
I was very clear with the tour operators of what I required from the tour when I booked, especially in regard to getting a lot of high quality social media content.
I have taken similar instagram tours in many countries and they have all been excellent, and have met or exceeded our expectations.
This tour was advertised as follows - Shrines and Street Art. Classical and Eccentric Beauty. Pop culture and Traditions. All of these come together to make Tokyo a truly photogenic city. Grab your camera and check out the most Instagrammable places in Tokyo!
I was allocated Shuji, a 72 year old guide for this instagram tour. He was a wonderful man with a deep understanding of the culture and history of Japan and he spoke fluent English, however not your typical guide for a “Instagram Tour”.
We had a wonderful 6 hour walking tour of many of the main sites of Tokyo and Shuji explained in detail, the history of each site we visited.
Shuji also found a terrific restaurant for us to have lunch as I wanted to try Okonomiyaki, Osaka style while in Tokyo.
Although I really appreciated Shuji’s extensive knowledge during the tour, the company should definitely not call this an instagram tour.
On every other instagram tour I have done the guide is very experienced with getting the best shots and video for social media.
They know every photo worthy location on our itinerary and they always suggest the best photography angles and framing and will want to take photos of you when you are travelling alone or as a couple.
Shuji happily obliged when I asked jinn to take a photo of me, however it was very apparent that he was not experienced in taking quality photos for social media.
If you are looking for a true “Instagram Tour” I would not recommend in booking this tour as the tour operator has used a very misleading tour name and tour description.
However if you want a very good walking and history tour of Tokyo, I would definitely recommend taking a tour and requesting Shuji as your guide.

In fact, right before we met at the hotel lounge, I saw you excitedly looking at a picture of the sake barrels at Meiji Jingu Shrine, and I knew that it would be a wonderful day. I’m glad to hear we were able to hit all spots you wanted to visit in one go, although I must admit it’s due to your planning too. I’m so happy to know that you enjoyed our trip around Tokyo seeing the Godzilla head in Shinjuku, the beautifully painted sake barrels at Meiji Jingu Shrine, and the kaleidoscopic mirrored escalator on Omotesando. I hope the heat wasn’t too bad, and hopefully when you visit Tokyo again, it won’t be so scorching hot like Godzilla’s morning breath. Next time, I’ll take you to see a full Godzilla statue near Yurakucho Station. Thanks for coming and I hope to see you soon.
