Amazing tour with an equally amazing tour guide!! We loved Nuno! He was extremely knowledgeable, considerate, personable, and the perfect tour guide. He made us feel very comfortable and taught us a lot about the history of the area. We didn't have enough time to tour the well, but the Pena palace was outstanding, and the lakes trail was beautiful. We highly recommend Nuno and this tour!

Excellent tour if the weather is good

Our tour guide Bart was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. Unfortunately the weather made our time at the Peña Palace not very enjoyable … it was very windy and cold, and there was a lot of fog/clouds that ruined most of the views. Obviously this was not the fault of our tour guide. The weather improved dramatically after 10-11am. I would recommend starting this tour a couple hours later, especially if/when there is inclement weather in the mornings. We requested the 2pm tour but we were told that since there were no other people signed up for the 2pm tour, we would have to go with the 8:30am tour. The rest of the tour was great because the wind died down and the fog/clouds cleared up.

SIntra is a special place

Sintra is a must see if you are visiting the Lisbon area. We had a fabulous day with Esmil who was so gracious and knowledgable. However, there is lots of walking up to the Castle and a bit at the Palace. I would highly recommend this tour but wear sneakers and bring a sweater. Chilly and a bit foggy during the morning tours.

An unforgettable day in Sintra with Bruno

My sister and I had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Sintra with Bruno as our private guide and driver, and we couldn't have asked for more. Bruno made us feel completely at ease from the start — calm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the area. We visited the grounds and terraces of Palácio da Pena, had free time to explore the historic center including Quinta da Regaleira and views of the National Palace, enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and finished the day at the breathtaking Cabo da Roca. We saw and experienced so much in just one day — something that would have been impossible without Bruno's planning and local knowledge. What really stood out was how full of stories he was. Every stop came with fascinating history and context that brought the places to life. He was organized and had everything under control, which meant we could just relax and enjoy. On top of that, Bruno gave us a wealth of recommendations — restaurants, places to visit — and we used many of them. Every single one was spot on. If you're planning a day trip to Sintra, book Bruno. Beautiful Sintra!

Margarida was a fantastic driver. There was a lot of traffic that day and she called to tell us she was going to be a little late ( maybe 20 mins) more time to enjoy our morning coffee. We did a half day at Sintra. she showed us all of the highlights, including the outside areas of the palace, the Moorish castle, and a little bit of the downtown. She was knowledgeable and efficient. Excellent full day tour of Sintra sights and coast

We were skeptical about doing a guided tour for Sintra. My wife and I were going to go on our own via train/bus. But then I read the reviews that spoke so highly of Bruno, and thought it would be nice not to have to worry about any logistics. Turned out there was a transit strike on the day of our tour. So it sure is a good thing we didn’t try to go on our own. Bruno picked us up on time and offered us options to customize the day. I think we ended up doing the standard grouping of activities, and it worked out very well. We saw so much! Being on a private tour all day with someone has the possibility to be weird if you don’t like the tour guide. This was not an issue at all. Bruno is so nice and welcoming and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our time with him. He’s great at his job, and seems like an overall great person. We are very happy we did this tour with him, as we learned a lot and saw a lot - with some short periods of time mixed in to explore the town of Sintra and Cascais on our own. Beautiful! And easy! Don’t overthink it, leave it all to Bruno, see all the highlights, and have a great time.
