This tour teaches you more about Sintra than visiting the sites located there. Guides are well-studied locals that know what's important and what's not. You'll see a lot of sites other tours miss. If you're looking to go to sites just for the views, this tour is better than doing the official sites by themselves.

Francisco our guide to a great job leading us on a hike up to the Moorish castle , stopping at many viewpoints and giving us great history of Sintra and the Penna Palace. We ended the hike in the city center and he pointed out places for lunch and stores to shop in. I would recommend this tour for those who want to se the sights by foot instead of by riding in a vehicle.
