Food samples and more!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with our guide in the markets of Osaka. She really made the most of our time together and provided a lot of extra information about the history, culture and the foods we were sampling. Great way to spend a few hours especially on a rainy day since most of the markets are under cover.

Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience that one should try the very next day you arrive in Osaka. Hitomi was a perfect host, plenty of charm and lovelly stories that allow you to dive in street food Osaka. I strongly recomand it.

Exceeded expectations
This tour exceeded our expectations. Niko was a wonderful guide and very funny. It was great trying new food. She also shows us some hidden spots and popular shopping areas. There is no pressure to buy, just showing you around the area. It was helpful we went back to the area a few times for food and shopping. U highly recommend.

Noz was informative and...
Noz was informative and adjusted to our food preferences. We got to experience takoyaki, Kobe beef skewer, puffer fish sashimi, tuna roll, and traditional Japanese sweets. All very good. She was knowledgeable and told us about the history of Osaka and the areas we visited. My husband and I enjoyed our tour with Noz.

Kuromon Ichiba Market
  • When eating from street food stalls, there is often nowhere to sit. Be careful not to block foot traffic while you’re eating, and stand somewhere to the side.

  • Make sure to take any trash from snacks purchased home with you. It’s uncommon to find trash cans in public places in Japan, because the understanding is you’ll take it away and dispose of it properly later.

  • There’s a rest area at the information center at the southern end of the market. You can sit and eat your snacks here, plus there are toilets and baggage storage (for a fee).
