Family Tea Ceremony
My family enjoyed this introduction to a Japanese tea ceremony. The location was easy to find, and our 2 hosts were very friendly and informative, teaching us the history and procedures, answering questions, and instructing us on how to make our own matcha tea. My children, ages 17, 13, and 8, were engaged the entire 45 minutes we spent for this activity. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a cultural experience while visiting Osaka.

Highly recommend!
This was by far one of the best experience we had while in Japan. Fumi was awesome! She not only told us what to do step by step, she explained why we were doing it. She made it so much fun! Were we staying longer, we would have loved to attend another class or two that they offer.

Fantastic - can’t wait to try at home
What a fantastic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our sushi-making class today with Lala and Ayu.
Both teachers were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient, making the whole experience fun, engaging, and easy to follow. They explained each step clearly, shared fascinating insights into Japanese food culture, and created a relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable.
The ingredients were fresh, the instruction was excellent, and it was so rewarding to create and enjoy our own sushi for lunch. Lala and Ayu’s enthusiasm and passion for what they do truly shone through and made the class memorable.
We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Osaka who wants a hands-on cultural activity and a deeper appreciation of Japanese cuisine.
Thank you, Lala and Ayu, for a wonderful afternoon and a highlight of our trip to Japan!

Delicious tour with Moeka-chan!
We had a wonderful tour experience with Moeka. She was an excellent guide in every way - knowledgeable about history, culture, and food, friendly and personable, and accommodating and patient with the specific needs of our family (namely, dealing with an energetic three-year-old)! We enjoyed all the delicious food (especially the okonomiyaki!) and even my vegetarian husband had plenty to eat. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling with family and only a short stay in Osaka - you get to explore vibrant neighborhoods while enjoying really tasty, unique foods.

Amazing Japanese home cooking class!
Incredible opportunity to cook in an actual Japanese home kitchen and an amazing cultural experience. We learned so much about Osaka and how their food differs from other parts of Japan. Our instructor was very kind and accommodating of dietary restrictions. We had so much fun and can't wait to try making okonomiyaki at home. It was a great value for the amount of learning and food you get!

Unmissable peek into tea ceremony culture
Our teacher, Sayaka, was so lovely! This was such a meaningful and exciting class for someone who has been a fan of matcha for many years now (I’m a massive tea head!) I really enjoyed the mini ceremony and the sweets, and Sayaka was so engaging and bubbly, thank you so much!
I also went on my own because my partner doesn’t like tea, and the group setting was very warm and easy to get along with! Highly recommend for everyone!

Memorable Moments in Osaka ✨️❤️
Such a Great experience, Keiko, her assistant and mother where a pleasure to learn from. They spoke great English so understanding eachother was a plus! Keiko reached out to us prior and asked about food restrictions or dietary restrictions. She was able to accommodate my vegan diet which I was super happy because one of the main ingredients in Okonomiyaki is eggs. The replacement was a particular Japanese potato that worked great as a binder. Her mother gifted us with a little handmade purse made out of kimonos. A very heartfelt moment learning about how food brings people together. We both enjoyed this class and will be practicing what we learned at home. Okonomiyaki is very tasty and versatile. It can be made exactly to your personal liking! I highly recommend giving this class a try!

10/10 experience!
This was the best cooking class I’ve ever taken! It was very well organized and interactive, with every little detail thought through. Our chef Keigo was wonderful and a big part of what made the experience great - he taught us about why certain ingredients are used or why certain steps in cooking are done, and I learned multiple tips I’ll take home with me. He is a fantastic and enthusiastic teacher, photographer and chef all in one! Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Osaka!

I absolutely recommend...
I absolutely recommend this activity! This was an expertly run cooking class. We were a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 teen). This is a highlight of our Japan trip. The guide was warm, inviting and so helpful. We were given the recipes so we are now inspired to make the meal when we get home. Loved it!

*MUST DO* Best place to make sushi and have tons of fun.
Mako and Aya are brilliant hosts - patient, generous and a great fun. They shared a bit of history about making sushi and happily answered our many questions. Constantly encouraging and guiding us as we went through the process of making our sushi platter. The vegetarians in the group were also delighted with the delicious sushi toppings. We did this activity as the last fun thing-to-do before catching our flight and it was definitely the perfect end to our awesome trip. We left Japan with big smiles and a box full of yummy sushi , thanks to Mako and Aya. Our 11 year old gave this activity a score of 25 out of 10.
Mako - we look forward to Sushi London branch opening up soon. Thanks from Anita and group.

Best ramen class
Excellent cooking class- best we have done in Japan. Very efficient and teaching experience. You can also purchase some supplies at the end like garlic grater or cooking chopsticks so can be a nice souvenir.
Please was easy to find- Marina and Kasa were so nice!!!! We were a group of 3 plus 4 more participants so a total of 7 but we did not feel rushed and food was delicious! Try not to eat lunch before!

Highlight of Japan Family Trip
Food tour was great and the favorite tour of our stay in Japan. It definitely fulfilled the family's need for sushi, trying everything from fish cakes to sea urchin and pufferfish. Our guide was very friendly and patient with our 2 year old, who tried everything as well, and was amazing with pointing out all the unique things in the market to see if we wanted to try it.
This will be a highlight of our Japan trip!
