No sake No life
We were only a small group but the guides gave it there all. i even got to wish for an extra stop on the tour. If you like sake it is a must. If you want to know about a very unique Japanese product also a must, and if you only want to have a fun afternoon, that is also fine.

Have Mariko introduce you to her city Kyoto
We were picked up by car and driven from Kobe to Kyoto for a full day tour. Our tour guide Mariko met us at the first location. Mariko was excellent. She was not native to Japan but had one parent that was Japanese. She was raised in Canada but had moved to Kyoto many years ago. She was fluent in both English and Japanese.
Mariko's knowledge of Japan and the culture was excellent. She gave wonderful commentary and was able to answer all our questions. A highlight was exploring an arcade street (shotengai) which is a covered pedestrian shopping, eatery street. Mariko was able to teach us Japanese etiquette and point out interesting food stalls that she personally recommended. We had an appointment at 2:30 for a komono wearing and a tea ceremony and she got us to the appointment right on time. This tour was a mix of walking and transferring to different sites via car. This worked well and was time efficient.

Great Tour in Kobe
My wife and I visited a Sake Brewery and the Ropeway and herb garden in Kobe. Both atractions were excellent. We were shown around by Mizu our guide who was brillant; very professional and informative and a great character. We highly recommend Mizu and the attractions, not to be missed.

Enjoyable visit to Kyoto.
Great visit to Kyoto. Our driver and our guide YUKA were wonderful. YUKA did everything to tailor the tour to our interests, including responding to a special request, while providing excellent information. Pre tour communications were very timely and responsive.
We would highly recommend touring with YUKA.

We went to the Engyoji...
We went to the Engyoji Temple where they filmed the Last Samurai. We were basically the only visitors there, so it was very peaceful as I had imagined. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We then went back to Kobe and had the best Kobe beef at Mouriya Lin. Some of us proceeded to walk back to the ship through the shopping streets. and the others were taken back by car. It was a most enjoyable day!

Leave it to the locals
We left our day in our guide, Ryan's capable hands. When he suggested a visit to a herb garden, we were somewhat sceptical, but WOW, it was fantastic and totally unexpected. A real hidden gem. After exploring the Nunobiki Herb Gardens we made our way through Kitano with their well preserved merchant homes. And no visit to Kobe would be complete without sampling their beef. Ryan took us to an area known only to locals, where we had lunch. The Ikuta Shrine was a touch of serenity before hitting Chinatown and the end of our walking tour.

Best Kobe City Tour
Mahoko is a fantastic guide. She speaks excellent English having spent many years in America. We were collected from the Port for an intial rour round the town. We then had a fabulous seafood meal at a traditional Japanese restauraunt where we sat at tables watching as the chef prepared and served our dishes.. Finally we took the cable car to the mountain top and she was very knowleable about the herb garden plants as we descended. We took taxis where necessary to get through the itinerary. We paid for the meal and the taxis. I can't recommend too highly this tour with Mihoko as the guide

Excellent tour with Satori
Our private tour in Kobe with Satori was a fantastic experience! She created a perfect mix of culture, scenery, and fun. We visited a beautiful shrine, enjoyed a unique and playful stop at an animal café, and took in stunning views at the herb garden via the ropeway. Satori was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire day feel personal and relaxed. Highly recommend her for anyone looking to explore Kobe in a memorable way!

The best day out EVER!
Zack was super at communicating before our trip and he was very reliable, appearing exactly on time at the cruise port. Zack had a nice clean car with plenty of space.
Nothing was too much trouble for him.
He provided water and traditional treats for our journey. He helped us to navigate the sushi menu at a lovely traditional restaurant. He is a lovely guy, with a well thought out itinerary incorporating all of our preferences and some great suggestions of his own. His command of the English language is exceptional. Out group highly recommends him! Thank you Zack for a very memorable day.

Kyoto Full Day Custom Tour-Thank you.
Our Kyoto full day tour was wonderful. Our tour operator, Ahmed was extremely responsive, even last minute, and tailored the day to meet our needs and wants. Our tour guide, Kazz and driver were punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. We would never have been able to see as many sights in Kyoto without them and Kazz took so many photos of us, we will remember this day for a long time. Kyoto is a beautiful city and we are extremely grateful that we were able to get an insiders view of all its beauty. Thank you Ahmed, for putting together an amazing and wonderful day for us.

Great Tour of Kyoto’s Highlights
This was a great tour in a great city that has so many unique sites and photo opportunities. Our tour guide met us at the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove early in the morning and luckily before the wave of tourists arrived shortly after. We then visited 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered around Kyoto (Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion, the Kiyomizu-dera temple, and the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine. Our tour guide Keiko was terrific and was very understanding when we asked to cut short one or two site visits due to the extreme heat. We got to see so much in a limited 8-hour stop.

We had a great time with...
We had a great time with Sumile! We ended up with a private tour with her. She picked us up right at the cruise terminal and guided us via train, walking, taxi, and local bus/trolley throughout the city. Good walking shoes and plenty of water were a must. The Kobe beef lunch was the perfect ending after working up an appetite walking and seeing the sites. We had great conversations with Sumile and even had the opportunity to chat with a 29th generation Shinto priest who heard us discussing the religion. Quite the memorable adventure!
