Natsuka was lovely,...
Natsuka was lovely, taking time to find out what we were interested in and wanted to see and then making sure the tour included those things. She was very knowledgeable on all aspects of local life from the Samurai to the local crafts and craftsmen to the gardens. She took us to the food hall and explained Japanese food - what it is made of and how it's prepared, as well as trying some lovely items that we wouldn't normally buy. A very enjoyable few hours with a lovely lady.

Matcha tea with tea master
The matcha tea experience was wonderful! The tea master Yuta was incredibly personable, welcoming about sharing the traditions and artistry behind the Japanese tea ceremony. Every step was explained with patience and care, making the experience both educational and relaxing. Yuta kindly answered all questions my husband, my son and I had. It was fascinating to learn about the preparation techniques, the history of matcha tea, and the cultural significance of the ritual. The freshly prepared matcha was delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere made the entire experience feel authentic and memorable. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Japanese tea culture and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan.

Half day tour was just...
Half day tour was just right,, saw Shirakawa-go starting early to avoid the crowds, guides were good. Special kudos to Yasushi san who took the time to fulfill viatour promise of guided walk to the observation deck with interesting points elaborated on during the walk, and to Keita san who did try to show us the bus stop so we could return to the Kanazawa train station (our departure point).

E-bike tour in Kanazawa, well worth it!
Amazing tour with a kind and knowledgeable guide (Gori). Really enjoyed the less frenetic vibe in Kanazawa after arriving in Japan and spending a couple of days in Tokyo. This is a very beautiful city and a lovely region of Japan. Using the e-bikes was very easy (provided you know how to ride a bike). Learned a lot about the Samurai and Geisha.

Nice pace , simple history tour not too detailed to loose interest.
Nice pace tour. Momo our tour guide did great job of engaging the group with questions and fun quizzes as we learned about the history. Enjoyed Momo using pictures to explain things. Took time for photos of family at iconic spots . Gave free time to roam as well.

I had a great time on...
I had a great time on this tour with Kuroda as the guide. He provided information on the bus in Japanese and English. He was both professional and funny! There was sufficient time to explore each own on our own. Lunch was excellent. Gokayama was a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed!

Wonderful teacher & cooking school for a memorable evening!
We highly recommend this class and cooking school. It's a family run school and the pride and quality shows – no corners cut, everything of excellent quality.
The instructor had great humor and taught us technique & common ingredients, while moving us through preparing and eating a full meal of delicious Japanese food. 10/10 highly recommend for those who love cooking and great food.

The trip was amazing.
Our guide was an amazing tour guide. She made an all day tour relaxing, engaging and memorable. Her in-depth knowledge was matched by her sense of humour. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fully organised, stress free orientation of Shirakawa-go and takayama.

If you’re going to explore Kanazawa you need Yuri
Yuri is the best guide you could wish for. Not only does she have great knowledge, she made us comfortable right upon meeting her, we had lots of laughs, and she took charge of the photos which meant we could take in everything without a care. She didn’t just fill us in on history, she even taught s cultural etiquette like the right way to wipe your hands in a restaurant. We wish we could take her on our entire trip of Japan.

Exploring beautiful old villages outside Kanazawa.
Despite the wind and rain we loved this experience with Liam as a great guide. The wood carvers village was probably our favourite - fascinating and peaceful. Watching skilled carvers at work was amazing. The Gokayama village areas were very old and very intriguing and it was fun making our own piece of washi paper. Shirakawa-go was bigger and definitely more touristy but fascinating to find out about the history of silk making and how the houses were set up to facilitate this. Thanks for a great day exploring, Liam

Yoshi is a must for discovering Kanazawa!
Yoshi is a great guide, so helpful and easy to understand. Without him, we could not have navigated the various districts with the historical insights he provided. He picked out a great place for lunch by the garden, helped us order while regaling us with stories of city.

Highly Recommended Private Tour to Shirakawa-go & Takayama
We booked the 1 Day Private Charter Tour to Shirakawa-go & Takayama and had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Ali, was friendly and flexible, happily customising the itinerary to suit our interests. He spoke English very well and made communication easy throughout the day. Ali was also a safe and skilled driver, making the journey comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour for a smooth and personalised day trip!
