It was very informative and fun
The tour guide, Kaz, was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. It was mostly walking outside, then inside.
At the end, the tour finishes at Osaka Castle and you can explore the 8 floors.

Kaz provided an outstanding tour of Osaka Castle. First, she was wearing Japan's national team baseball hat, so we hit it off right away. Second, she was so excited to tell us all of the amazing parts about Osaka Castle, it would have been difficult not to catch her infectious enthusiasm. She spent a lot of time explaining and showing us the defenses of the castle (especially the gun loopholes where samurai could fire their guns outside the castle walls but be protected behind them) and the huge stones that were used to build the castle's foundation and also served as visual intimidation to anyone who came across them. (The Toyotomi Stone Wall Museum inside the grounds that we also had access to as part of the tour expounded on information Kaz provided earlier on the tour.) We also were fortunate to have a fairly clear day on our tour, so when we emerged at the top of the castle, we had a 360-degree view as we walked around all sides of the castle, which was spectacular. We also were really pleased that there were only 11 of us on the tour (our family group and another family), which basically made it a semi-private tour. Enjoyed that so much more than being on a tour with up to 30 people (how tour is offered). Highly recommend.

Yuta was an excellent guide. It's a quick tour but informative. Really cool castle with ton of history.

We loved our tour of the Osaka Castle and grounds with Yuta. Very knowledgeable and helped with easy ways to remember tiny details along the tour. We asked a lot of questions and Yuta had all the answers we threw at him. If you want a funny, engaging guide who knows all about Osaka Castle and other topics in Japan, ask for Yuta.

A great way to see the castle! Liu taught us a lot and showed us areas we would have missed - like the original stone walls. Taking a tour like this definitely helps to get context around the site. Also we were able to skip a lot of the lines!

Ukyo was our tour guide. This was the largest your we did in Japan. He was very casual but did give a lot of good info. It was a very hot day and he did try to find shade for us. The castle is a modern build that is now a museum housing lots of info about its history. We had lunch in the visitor center which was nice after a long hot day.

Our guide was Yuta! He was very patient with us because we got there a few minutes behind. He reached out to me to make sure I was on the way. When we got there, we got a warm welcome and we were immediately engaged due to his humor and kindness. During the tour, he gave us a lot of valuable information and he answered all of our questions.
I highly recommend this tour. It was insightful and allowed us to skip long lines. If you are lucky enough, you will get Yuta as your guide.

This was an excellent tour of Osaka Castle and one of the highlights of our time in Osaka. Lui was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the history of the castle much more meaningful than simply visiting on our own. The tour was well organized, easy to follow, and gave us helpful context about Osaka and Japanese history while still allowing us to enjoy the castle itself. We really enjoyed the experience and would absolutely recommend a tour with Lui.
