Hugo was an amazing...
Hugo was an amazing guide. I loved his knowledge of history and his ability to craft the tour to our needs. He did a great job of showing us the castle and local areas to shop and enjoy food. It was a great starter tour for a few days in Osaka. Strongly recommend

Fun Food Tour
Our tour with Danyk was a memorable experience into Osaka. As a first time visitor it was a great way to get a feel for this city and how it really does contrast with other parts of Japan. Danyk had some interesting insight as we roamed the food scene of Osaka. Recommended.

The best of the bar food!
Our tour guide Kevin felt more like a local host introducing us to his friends than a tour guide being paid to feed us. It was a delicious and welcoming experience. Not too much walking, easy to find meeting spot, fabulous food, and lively conversation. A wonderful way to spend an evening in Osaka.

Great way to experience Osaka classics!
Loved the class!! Prompt pickup at class time with short walk to host's home. Lovely set up and menu. Enjoyed a private cooking experience, asking questions and learning about both local differences in food and traditions. Host Yayo made it special for my husband and I (food was delicious too!!) Would highly recommend!!

This was a perfect tour...
This was a perfect tour of Osaka! Our guide Emi built a tailored itinerary that exactly met our needs and we visited amazing sites we would've never known about thanks to her. Throughout the tour, Emi was so kind, knowledgable, positive, and flexible - we enjoyed every second and are so grateful she was the person that showed us beautiful Osaka. Strongly recommend Emi and this tour if you're planning a trip to Osaka!

A bit like GTA IRL, we loved it
The tour is exactly as advertised: very gritty and real. We wanted to see the darker parts of Osaka and we did. There were prostitutes and pimps, gambling, dirty games, swinging clubs and secret gay bars. We even saw two men beating up a third on a back alleyway, causing the group to quickly shuffle away. I don’t think we were ever in real danger because our expert guide knew how to keep us safe. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again!

Great first day tour
Great experience and a good way to see a lot of the city via foot and public transit. Great tour for when you first get to the city. Scott was really knowledgeable and the history is fascinating. Very friendly. It’s plenty of walking but still really manageable

Our guide was super...
Our guide was super friendly. She mixed in a bit of history with the tour. She was also really willing to answer any questions we had about daily life in Japan. It is A LOT of food to eat so come hungry! As a Mom traveling with kids, I really appreciated they take photos of you along the way.

Osaka Tour
My brother and I had the most incredible tour with our guide Sachiko yesterday. We learned the history of Osaka castle, saw Shitennouji temple, Sumiyoshi Taisha shrine, and Shinsekai. It was so nice being able to easily navigate the public transportation with the help of our guide. She also took the most incredible pictures and air dropped them at the end of the day. She made sure to point out several restroom stops along the way and offered to let us stop for food or drinks. We had the most incredible day and learned so much about Japanese history and culture.

1 day visit to Osaka June 2026 - visitors from NC USA
Mayu did a great job for our 2 hour tour. She met up with us at our hotel at 1 pm, and we visited and took photos at Namba Yasaka Shrine, Kuromon Market (a covered indoor/outdoor market with a wonderful collection of small businesses that specialize in sushi, sea food, tokoyaki, Wagyu Beef, Mochi, sweets, and many others), photos at energetic Dotonburi and the 2 bridges, photos near the Glico man sign, photos outside Don Quijote, Hozenji temple, and photos at quiet Hozenji Yokocho Alley. Mayu completed the tour by walking us back to our hotel. After the fantastic tour with Mayu we went to quiet Hozenji Yokocho Alley at 5 pm and ate incredible Wagyu at Kitashinchi Harami Hozenji. The restaurant was fully booked the entire evening, but they kindly offered us a table if we could finish our meal before 6:50. It was the best Wagyu meal ever! We went to Dotobori, and purchased a roller suitcase at Don Quijote (needed for the souvenirs for the trip home). We rolled our newly purchased roller suitcase all over Dotonbori and experienced the neon lights and high energy at Dotonbori topped by soft served Cremia Ice cream at Excelsior Cafe (possibly the best ice cream we have ever tasted). Mayu gave a fun and highly informative tour and many useful tips that we were able to use immediately during our 1 day visit to Osaka. We highly recommend Mayu as a tour guide and highly recommend a visit to Osaka - the “food capital of Japan.”

Amazing time with Mari!!
Absolutely incredible experience last night with our guide Mari — hands down one of the best food tours I’ve ever done. The bar hopping was so thoughtfully curated and gave us the perfect mix of hidden local spots, amazing atmosphere, incredible food, and drinks we never would have found on our own. Every stop felt authentic and special, and Mari made the entire night feel effortless, fun, and personal. She was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure everyone was having an amazing time. We left full, happy, and feeling like we experienced a side of Osaka we never could have discovered ourselves. Could not recommend this tour more highly!

Very fun food tour!
We had a difficult time finding the store (it was underground and Google Maps did not know how to direct us there) but thankfully our guide found us! If you get lost having WhatsApp would be helpful to communicate. Once our guide (Satsuki) found us it was great! She told us about the Osaka culture and took us to a lot of local places. The food was great and we went to a couple of small bars too! She is studying English in school and speaks it very well. Overall we were happy with the tour and company of Satsuki!
