Great way to first see the city via foot and public transit. Scott was knowledgeable and the history of was fascinating. Very friendly. Plenty of walking but very manageable for my partner and me.

Daniel was a fantastic tour guide and we had a great time with him. He was super helpful and knowledgeable and made sure we got onto the correct train at the end of the tour, and took the time to help me out when I wasn’t feeling very well. If you’re super into shopping this is the tour for you, just personally for us we would have liked to know a bit more about the history of the shopping district and Osaka itself. But that’s just personal preference and it’s worth repeating that Daniel was excellent and made the whole thing really enjoyable.

Kenzo was a great guide! Very informative about Osaka and showed us the best views of the castle! And most importantly when in Osaka, the food!! Our guide Daniel, who has lived in Japan since the mid 1990s, gave us a succinct and often funny history of the competing warlords who built Osaka Castle. The five-hour itinerary was exactly as described. We had lunch in the trendy American Village where I had a delicious yakisoba. I particularly liked the Kuromon Market and Dotonbori -- a foodie's paradise. Daniel gave helpful recommendations to participants on this tour.

Any tour is only as good as the guide and Davin was exceptional. Having grown up in Australia combined perfect English with and understanding of both cultures that gave him a unique insight I found fascinating.
To combine this with clear, detailed and relevant information throughout the session gave this tour another dimension.
As for the lunch, it was both tasty and efficiently managed. Also the choice was larger than expected. The tour also included plenty of stops and photo opportunities as well as the occasion short period for us to do our own things. All this meant it felt more like a fun morning with friends than a schedule.

The Osaka walking tour with James as our guide was a huge success. My young adult sons were not originally keen to do formal tours in Japan, but they absolutely loved this several hour walk through the city. James was friendly, informative, and easy going. My wife and I did this tour in Osaka in May. We travel together extensively and do a lot of walking tours. This was one ranks up there with the best. Our guide Davin is Japanese but lived part of his life outside the country— so he was able to explain to us a lot about not just the sights we were seeing and the Japanese history but also spent a lot of time explaining Japanese culture, how the history translates into modern society, daily life for Japanese people, etc. he was easy to talk to, approachable and very informative and obviously very much into teaching us on the tour. I got so much more out of this than just seeing some tourist sites. I’d recommend to anyone even if you’ve been to Japan before
