A fantastic hiking...
A fantastic hiking experience along the beautiful Nakasendo trail between Magome and Tsumago. Vincent was highly professional and well organised and shared great local knowledge about the trail's history and culture along the way.
Would highly recommend this tour.

An Amazing Day with Serge!!
Don't miss an opportunity to book a tour with Serge! From our initial communications with him, we could tell that he had a great personality and this tour was going to be fun. As expected, from the time we hopped in his car, we were talking and laughing the entire day. He was very knowledgeable of all things Nagoya, and was willing to take us to see whatever we wanted (although we ran out of time to get to Costco!!) He knew how to schedule the day in order to make the best use of time. Although he has lived in Japan for 30 years, growing up in the Netherlands gives him the unique perspective of seeing Japan as a tourist and as a local. He was able to explain Japanese customs, traditions, and way of life in a way that Westerners can easily understand and appreciate. Although we had particular food requirements, Serge was able to convince us to eat street meat. He did not steer us wrong - it was delicious! Traveling around Nagoya by car with Serge allowed us to have more detailed and personal conversations and felt like we were out for the day with a friend. Finally, we were not expecting to have our own personal photographer for the day. The pictures he took of us were amazing and certainly helped us to remember our day around Nagoya! He also mentioned he does tours of other cities, so we will definitely look him up when we come back!

Our private day tour from...
Our private day tour from Nagoya to the Korankei Valley was truly unforgettable. We spent the day with Serge, our guide and driver - a Dutch emigré who has lived in Japan for over 30 years - and his depth of knowledge, warmth and flexibility made the experience exceptional. He tailored the day perfectly to our interests. For example, after hearing that we weren’t particularly drawn to cars, he swapped the Toyota Museum for a visit to the serene, tucked-away Tōgan-ji Temple, home to an impressive 10 m statue of the Buddha.
From there we continued to the breathtaking Korankei Gorge, which we were incredibly lucky to see at peak autumn colour. Even with the crowds, it felt peaceful and almost magical. After exploring the area, we travelled to Senno Shikizakura no Sato Park, where the shikizakura cherry blossoms - remarkably blooming in both autumn and spring - were just approaching full bloom. Combined with the small temples in both locations, it made for a truly beautiful and atmospheric day.
Neither of us knew much about this region beforehand, so discovering it with Serge was a wonderful surprise and an unexpected highlight of our Japan trip. As an added kindness, he even followed up by sending us a detailed suggested itinerary for exploring Nagoya the next day, complete with timings and public transport tips.
We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Nagoya looking for a thoughtful, personalised and scenic day out!

Great for the first time going to the park.
While we didn't see all the park has to offer, this was by far the easiest, and best way to experience the park for our first time. Having transportation to and from was logistically the hardest part, and also having a guide tell is what to do and where to go was very helpful!

Wonderful day with Kana
Our guide Kana was extremely efficient helps and knowledgeable. She set a very accommodative pace for two +70’s. She shared many insights about her family life and experiences that provided enjoyable and informative value to our Japanese experience. We highly recommend her to all fellow travelers.

A sparkle in our adventure
This tour made our trip to Nagoya even more memorable. Our tour guide, Yasu, was very accommodating and provided the best tour we’ve had (already completed 4 tours in Kyoto). He adjusted our tour to suit our interests. We enjoyed the beauty of nature, then in time to enjoy dinner and the beautiful atmosphere at Nabana no Sato. He even brought towels so we could enjoy the foot bath there. The illumination was the best we’ve ever seen; especially the Mt. Fuji display. Sugoi💕🎉 we even saw the fireflies as we excited the park. What a memorable time. Thank you Yasu, wonderful Nagoya hospitality. Loved it💕🥰🫶🏼
