Lovely tour
Tour guide Mery was lovely. We saw 3 different towns on the Amalfi coast with about an hour at each town, with last stop being longer for lunch. She brought us to photo stops and had limoncello and snack tasting at one of the shops. Got back to cruise ship hour before onboard which was much appreciated:)

The small group tour, 6...
The small group tour, 6 people, was perfect for this adventure. Our Mercedes van driver was engaging and a cautious operator. The views from the van were breathtaking not travel able with a larger bus. The driver was waiting for us at the port and at every stop. We went at our leasure and arrived at Pompeii to be treated with our personal guide. Perfect trip and half the price of the cruise company.

What a day to remember!
You could spend a full day at each of these sites, but with our limited time, we were still able to experience a great overview of each location. Our tour guide, Luigi, and our driver, Andrea, were wonderful. One important thing to be aware of is that the Pompeii tour must be paid for separately ahead of time, and this portion was not guided.

A great excursion!
This was a well-organized excursion. Both our guide and driver were top notch. While navigating those hairpin turns on the narrow roads, our driver contributed to the guide's narrative with interesting, little known tidbits of the region. They were a great team. Everything was well-planned and timed perfectly to get us back to the ship on time.

On grand tours of Italy, travelers often make Naples a staging point for exploring Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Skipping the city isn’t recommended, but it’s easy to see why some travelers do—there are too many enticing day trips to choose from. On day trips from Naples, you can avoid the stress of planning and driving and visit world-class archaeological sites, the stunning Amalfi Coast, and looming Mount Vesuvius. Less known but no less alluring destinations such as Paestum, Cilento, and the Royal Palace of Caserta are also in a day’s journey.
