Great trip!

We had a wonderful family trip with Viator to Positano, Pompeii, and Sorrento! Even though it was a rainy day, the experience was memorable, and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful towns and fascinating history of Pompeii. The scenery was still stunning despite the weather, and it was a great way to see so much of the Amalfi Coast in one day. Great visit

Fabulous trip to Sorrento, amalfi coast, Ravello with a photo stop at Positano. Beautiful countryside and enjoyable boat ride at Amalfi. Greta, our guide was very knowledgeable and allowed for enough free time to be able to do the itinerary. Marco, our driver was so skilled, especially driving through the narrow Italian streets. Well worth the time!

Amalfi Coast: Up Close and Personal

On the Amalfi coast, a small group tour is the way to go. We were in a large van, which enabled us to travel up and down the windy roads more easily than a big bus. Our driver Salvatore also acted as our tour guide and did a very good job. He lived in one of the towns along our route, so was able to add some nice local color. We had enough time to explore on each of our stops, but maybe could have done a little more in Positano and Amalfi and a little less in Ravello. Ravello was actually a pretty sleepy town compare with the other two. My wife characterized the ride as a little "dizzying" which one would expect, but if you are prone to car sickness it might not be for you.

We booked this experience as we only had 1 day in Naples on a cruise. It was amazing and great value for money. Francisco was fantastic as a guide and Mario was an excellent driver. All our passengers were from a cruise ship and they were very clear that we would return on time. We saw 3 coastal towns and had a boat ride to view the Amalfi coast. It was great all around!

Wonderful experience!

This is a wonderful tour and we had a great tour guide period amalfy and Sorrento are amazing as well as Pompeii. But just be advised this is a ton of walking. It's totally worth it but I could see it being a little bit difficult for folks who cannot walk for a long periods of time or uphill.

Wonderful historical, immersive experience

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Vincenzo, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Not only did he describe the history of these amazing, ancient cities, he also shared many details about the day-to-day life of those who lived there so long ago. And he was highly attentive to those in his tour group — taking photos, navigating the crowds and making it a positive experience. He truly went above and beyond. When we became lost after the tour, he physically returned to the site and helped us navigate our way back to Naples. I highly recommend this tour.

Waiting 6 months for Hike

I booked this tour for the hike alone. I enjoyed Pompeii, and Robertta did an amazing job. She is the sweetest, and I feel like we got to see and experience more of Pompeii with her than if we had gone on our own! The hike was interesting. I wish we had a little more time there personally. I enjoyed being at the top and meeting different people.

As with the other two...

As with the other two tours we took, there is a lot of walking involved and it is quite difficult if you are older or have issues with uneven terrain or going uphill or stairs.. The scenery is this part of Italy is just beautiful, and the ride is worth the trip, but be advised about trying to do too much if you are older

Good food and Informative!

Do not eat before going, you will be full! A little bit of loving through a very busy area with crazy ppl riding bikes but good fun. Our guide Katya (not sure on name spelling) was full of energy and laughter and hand the best recommendations for food and activities in Naples outside of the tour. We even saw her that evening at same restaurant she recommended!!!

2 Great Sites - 1 Fantastic Day!!!!!

Getting to visit Vesuvius and one of the archeological Pompeii sites in 1 day, and not having to worry about traffic, tickets, or what am I looking at both sites was fantastic. Mario, tour guide, was fabulous. He provided great information, not only about Vesuvius, but also about the geological features that make up the greater Naples area. He paced the narrative so it wasn't information overload. Be ready for a moderate incline hike on uneven ground at Vesuvius. The elevation gain is 570ft over 1.24 miles. Really good workout. The audio guide was good and views fantastic. Since you're going up in elevation, depending on weather, it will be hotter or cooler on the trail and at the rim. It was quite breezy at the start, and overcast. However, clouds broke up, breeze stopped and it was warm at rim. Do pace yourself, however don't pause to long on the trail as you have about 90 minutes. It was then off to lunch, which is on your own. 1 hour for lunch. There's usual street food and touristy restaurants in one direction and a good restaurant in the other "Varnelli" and if you tell them your with Askos tour, they'll get you out in an hour. It was enough time for Seafood Risotto and Seared Octopus starter, great tasting! Then it's off to the archeological Pompeii site. Having an archeological tour guide was fantastic as was the provided radio airbuds. Didn't have to worry about not hearing. Alfredo was fantastic, he took the time to answer everyone's question, explain not only the history, but also nuanced items: lead pipes used for water, why beds so small 🫣, graffiti corner🤭, etc.. He set an easy pace. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want to maximize your time and not have to worry about logistics.
