Itinerary
Your food and sightseeing tour starts in Piazza Bellini in the heart of the historic center of Naples. Meet your guide near the Greek ruins in the middle of the piazza.
Follow your guide to some of the best under-the-radar street food eateries, and sample local specialties like zucchini flowers, ragù, baccalà, and pizza.
Start down the narrow Via dei Tribunali, where you sample mozzarella from a traditional cheese shop and some of the best fried pizza in town.
Next, spend about 1 hour exploring Spaccanapoli, another narrow street through the historic center.
Continue to the Museo del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella. Spend about 45 minutes exploring the museum and music conservatory, and the narrow streets nearby. Taste artisanal gelato and typical local pastries like sfogliatella and babà.
Pass Piazza del Gesu en route to Via Toledo, where your tour ends.

We had the best experience with Daniella. We walked away with historical, cultural knowledge and full tummies . Daniella was very welcoming and fun . She accommodated everyone’s needs and kept the group engaged. It was a lovely introduction to Naples. It gave us the confidence to go on and explore Naples on our own. Highly recommend this experience. It’s a must for first timers to Naples.
One thing you need to do is come to this experience hungry, there is so much food 😁😁

Our food tour in Naples was hands down one of the best experiences of our entire European Mediterranean cruise—and that’s saying a LOT.
From the moment we met our guide, Mario, we knew we were in good hands. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly well-connected throughout the city. As we walked all over Naples, he brought the streets to life—sharing the history, traditions, and culture in a way that felt engaging, not overwhelming. I especially loved learning about Naples’ unique blend of influences and how its history ties into both Greek and Spanish roots.
Now let’s talk about the FOOD… absolutely incredible. Every single stop Mario chose was a hit. You can tell he has amazing relationships with the local spots because everything felt authentic, intentional, and honestly some of the best food we had on our entire trip. Naples officially has my favorite dishes from the whole cruise!
And I have to mention the sfogliatella—that flaky, perfectly layered pastry filled with creamy goodness… I’m still dreaming about it. By the end of the tour, we were completely stuffed (in the best way possible), so definitely come hungry!
We did this tour on our very first evening in Naples, and it was the PERFECT way to get acclimated to the city. It made everything feel more familiar and easy to navigate afterward. Mario even gave us great recommendations for what to do next and pointed us in the direction of the castle, which we visited after the tour.
Overall, this experience made us fall in love with Naples. Mario was timely, personable, and clearly respected by the local community. If you want a fun, flavorful, and informative introduction to the city, this tour is a must.
Highly recommend—don’t even think twice about booking it!

Perfect tour in these situations: you are visiting Naples for one day OR if you are visiting Naples for more than one day. In other words, there is no good reason to avoid this tour. Dare I say, even if you have food sensitivities.
ALEX immediately made the streets of Naples feel familiar while he flooded our experience with history and sensory moments that helped the chaos feel relatable and welcoming. Our “tastes” helped make sense of the culture… and were playful, interesting, and just the right portion.

Sara was an amazing guide!! She is knowledgeable, kind and incredibly accommodating to our family given we were travelling with two little ones in strollers through busy streets. Soooo much food!!! I thought it was just going to be bite sized tastes. Our guide Viviana was very knowledgeable and personable. Our tour was on a Saturday evening and the streets were very crowded. Maybe a tour on another evening would be less crowded?

Don’t eat before hand because you are given plenty of great food on this tour & it’s not far between food stops. Our guide Sena (apologies if spelt incorrectly) was so friendly, exuberant, funny & had a great knowledge of the history & culture of Naples. She made the tour most enjoyable.

Our guide was pleasant and the tour was an OK way to see a little bit of the historic district. It honestly felt a bit rushed, and the food was just so-so for the most part. There were no hidden gems here! It seemed we stopped in at very touristy places that we would generally never stop in on our own because they were SO touristy. The tour was just on two streets, the restaurants/stands were quite close together, and the event was not quite two hours long. There were 12-13 of us in all. It was our least favorite of all the food tours we have been on, and unfortunately not one we recommend.

Sara was great, lovely personality and clearly loves the city, made sure to look after my little girl as well and helped make sure we didn’t miss our boat as well, worth the fee just for the food alone so to get a tour as well this is really good value,

Alex (Alessandro) was an outstanding guide, providing so much history, insight, passion & humor into this fun and delicious experience. This was our first time in Naples and we just expected to get a few bites here and there. Not only did we leave entirely FULL of great food (and I do mean a full 5 course meal complete with limoncello, pastries & gelato) & a wonderful walk through the historic alleys, we now have a much better understanding and appreciation of Neapolitan culture, food & art. Alex definitely made "the chaos make sense." This is a must do if ever in Naples!

We loved our tour with Danny - or Nonna Danny. She had just the right amount of facts, history, humour - and even taught us the Italian hand signals. The food was delicious- stuff tyat we wouldn’t have tried otherwise because a full serve would be too much, but so glad we got to try it. If you’ve got a week in Naples, a great way to get you started and oriented. If you’ve only got a day - a great way to get a taste of everything in a short time.

Great tour. We decided to just do this tour in Naples while staying in positano to be able to see the area and it was a great decision! We ate some great classic Naples street food we may not have known to try and it was amazing! Our guide Sara was super friendly and helpful and a wonderful experience.
