- Mount Vesuvius entry ticket: 11,68 euros

- If you are travelling with suitcases, we recommend storing them in a luggage deposit (for example at the station or any facility of your choice) during the excursion. It may not always be possible to accommodate luggage on the minibus, as not all vehicles are equipped with a luggage compartment.

Marco was very knowledgeable about Vesuvius. The hike to the rim of the volcano was awesome. We ate lunch at an excellent restaurant. Then we had a wonderful tour led by Paulo. He was friendly and showed us so much. I was able to really imagine the people walking around in their period dress going about their daily lives.

Overall great experience from pick up to Vesuvius bus ride to Pompei walking tour.
The only thing would have been appreciated is the headsets for the Vesuvius audio guidebook. People on a travel trip typically would not carry a wireless headset or necessarily buy one, so with the price for this tour which was a big $$, the tour company should have provided the headset with their own device would have been great.
They did provide the headset for Pompei as the Askos tours guide was walking along and the guide was very engaging and paid attention to everyone's questions.
Mario from the Askos tours was great on the bus ride and gave a lot of information on the Vesuvius.

The day didn’t go well it was very windy so the guide had to wait for news the volcano was open and we were delayed setting off which meant all the timings slipped
We were refused entry to Vesuvius as our ticket expired 5 mins earlier so we were taken to another part of Vesuvius then we were told we could go back to climb the top ! Everything from then on was rushed and the group weren’t happy
No lunch break and toilets at Vesuvius were grim
It was extremely windy on the climb and at times I thought it wasn’t safe
The guys on the gate were smoking cannabis so wouldn’t have been much help if there was a problem
When we reached Pompeii no time for a break as the only cafe there was heaving
Then my partner was selected for a random ID check which was embarrassing being singled out luckily we had a passport image on our phone don’t know what would have happened otherwise
The guide and drivers were nice felt sorry for them but the company needs to work out a better approach going forward and please let people have proper toilet and refreshment breaks it was a challenging day !

Our guide Antonio in Pompeii was amazing - gentle, knowledgable and passionate. We got to learn about the history of Pompeii through his storytelling and this ancient city is our highlight during this Italy trip

Great trip, divided basically into two parts - highly reccomended for those, who don't have enough time to do both tours completely separately.
On Vesuvius our guide (Super) Mario was just amazing - giving professional explanations on vulcanos, types, erruptions, etc. It was really pleasure listening to him.
At Pompei we got a new guide - we can say simply: Antonio is a legend! Interesting, informative,... just simply great.
We highly reccoment this tour and especially Askos Tours, as everything run smoothly with no surprises. Great day!

Excellent guides. Over an hour for lunch between Vesuvius and Pompeii. Hard walk up and down Vesuvius but possible for almost anyone of any age

We had two wonderful guides, Mario in the morning gave us all of the history we needed and wanted for Vesuvius, then let us walk our way up on our own, enjoying the views every step of the way. Then he handed us off to Paolo, who was absolutely amazing! As an archaeologist, he was able to share all sorts of insights and information about Pompeii. The two hours we had there were not long enough.

Alexandra is a very, very bad tour guide. She is very in a hurry, talks a lot of unnecessary things. We didn't see half of the places advertised in the program. She didn't wait for the group. We traveled to Italy for this attraction, it was a very, very big disappointment.

Mario met us in Naples and was very professional and helpful. His knowledge and information , en route to Vesuvius - our first part of the tour- was excellent pre and post trip. We had plenty time for lunch , with a huge range of choice ,stopping at The Shopping Mall /Food Court. Seamless change over at Pompei , to our guide Rafaella , who paced an amazing 2 hour tour of pompei , with a huge depth of knowledge and passion , for what is known about Pompei , while also holding curiosity appropriately about advanced ways to learn in the future - she really captured our 11 year olds interest (which we were not sure would be possible!) Everything on time and transported back to Naples at time stated on the tour. Thank you for a fantastic day with dedicated people.

The experience of the whole tour was very good. Our guide Mario from Askos Tour was very polite and knowledgeable about Mt. Vesuvius and explained a lot of things on our way to Vesuvius. The tour bus stops for lunch break in a good mall MaxiMall where there were lot of food choices before we headed to Pompei. The guide at Pompei was very knowledgeable about the history and archeology of the area and took time to answer every question from our group. We enjoyed the trip and will remember it as one of our memorable trips. Thank you Mario and thank you Askos tour for a great experience.

Really good day out, we did Pompeii first and then Vesuvius. Guilia was our guide at Pompeii and she was fantastic, Mario was our day guide and Vesuvius tour guide. He was friendly and very informative. Key things to know would be:
- lunch options around Pompeii are extremely limited (in March at least). Recommend bringing snacks or even a packed lunch.
- bring layers for the volcano climb, it was dramatically colder up there than at ground level (we had snow at the top whereas down at Pompeii we were in t-shirts in the sunshine).

There were 2 different tour guides, one for Pompeii and one for Mount Vesuvius. Both of them were very friendly and well experienced and gave us so much history on both! The excursion lasted about 7 hours all in all. Mario was the tour guide for Mount Vesuvius and he was very patient throughout. Not everyone can walk at the same pace so he made frequent stops enabling people to either rest for a moment to catch a breath or just catch up with the rest of the group. He stopped at great photo points making reference to a historic time. Well worth the money for a great day out!

Our guide in Pompeii, Paulo was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. When exiting Pompeii, we got lost. Our tour operator called me and waited for us to make our way out. Our driver to Vesuvius, Luigi, was accommodating and made an unscheduled bathroom stop for us because no bathroom was working in Vesuvius. He also pointed out some fascinating sights along the way. I recommend this tour company and this tour in particular.

We had a great day learning about Vesuvius and the Pompeii ruins. Our tour leader Davide and the driver Pascuale made our journey pleasant and our archaeologist guide at Pompeii gave us a great tour giving us many interesting details about the daily lives of the people who lived in the city as well as what happened on the unfortunate day of the volcanic eruption.

Wonderful tour ! You get 1.5 hours in Mount Vesuvius and you need every minute of it to hike to the top , must be in excellent shape the hills are steep .
Our archaeological guide Nicoletta was amazing ! Her intelligence and knowledge was amazing but she made the tour fun !
Highly recommend her as a guide !

Really well organised tour, from easy to find meeting place, transfers to Vesuvius and Pompeii and giving plenty of time at each area. Davide our tour organiser was fantastic, keeping us updated and on time. You get codes for an app for a self guided tour if Vesuvius, then a very knowledgeable tour guide for Pompeii. Would definitely recommend, bring plenty of water!

Changed the depart time 24 hours before with no explanation
Tour pretty much only served to provide a driver not a guide
Driver made us wait 20 min after Vesuvius portion which made for rushed lunch

Dear Traveler,
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify that the tour description clearly states it includes an audio guide and entrance ticket for Mount Vesuvius (not a live guide), and a small-group tour of Pompeii with a live guide and entry ticket, exactly as advertised. This is a hybrid tour, not a full-day guided driving tour.
Due to a last-minute logistical issue with the vehicle, we had to slightly adjust the meeting time by 15 minutes — we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Regarding lunch, this is a full-day experience and only allows for a short break before the afternoon tour. We offered approximately 45 minutes for lunch, which we hoped would be sufficient.
Also we added a tour leader for free for the day to help and assist the whole group.

Enjoyed the tour. It is a long day - 6 hours. Vesuvius is worth the visit. Recommend having good footwear. When we visited there was a lot of low cloud so the views were limit. There is only audio guide for Vesuvius. We had lunch at restaurant (not included in tour) recommended by driver then headed to Pompei. Julia our guide was very good with great senses of humour.

Mario and Luigi were great for this experience. Perfect amount of time on Vesuvius, could have used more time in Pompeii. Bring a lunch with you because traffic congestion around Pompeii allowed only 10 minutes to get something to eat

Only reason I give 4 is because they had to cancel the pick up and drop off in Naples several days in advance. We trained to Pompeii. Mario was a fantastic guide. Kind, knowledgeable, and liked talking to us. I would absolutely recommend pairing Mt Vesuvius with Pompeii on the same day, both with tours. If you only go to Pompeii, you’ll be wondering about key facts about the eruption.

This tour was an incredible experience from start to finish! The trip was super comfortable, thanks to an excellent driver who made everything smooth and enjoyable.
