Great introduction to Positano, Amalfi Coast & Ravello. I have been yo Positano and Amalfi before on my own, so it was great to relax and have a tour guide take care of me for the day. Roberto was an amazing guide, probably the best guide I’ve ever had on Viator! He is the main reason I am giving this tour 5 stars! A complete joy with lots of knowledge, not only the history but also pop culture of the cities.
The format of the tour is similar to others, so considering that I got a feel for how these tours are operated, coming from someone who has been to these cities before, I can definitely say they are not 1 or 2 hour cities. Each city you need to stay a minimum of 2 hour minimum in each city to fully immerse yourself and have the time to explore. Positano, we had 1 hour through the tour, this is definitely not enough — this city you need at least 3 hours to explore, but this tour gives a great introduction to the city.
Amalfi was a treat, we had lunch here after our boat tour which was an extra 20€ cash, which I definitely recommend, Roberto’s knowledge and commentary during yhe tour was the highlight of the trip! If you want extra time to explore, don’t skip boat tour but skip lunch for a quick bite instead of a sit down style or you will lose half of your 2 hour stay in Amalfi. Don’t skip the Diocesan Museum of Amalfi which is right next to the Cathedral of St Andrew Apostle, a 4€ admission cost to see the famous work of Michelangelo Naccherino, a student of the better known Michelangelo Buonarroti!
Ravello was great, this is the city that I did not get to visit during my first time in the Coast — Highly recommend getting tickets to see Villa Rufolo as this is the heart of the city, an extra 8€ to take a glimpse into where the iconic and historic Ravello Concert Festival takes place annually.
The downsides of the tour would be not being able to enter 2 out of the 3 churches due to the timely nature of the tour. You will only be able to view the Cathedral in Positano but not the other two cities. And skipping out on the Arsenal of the Republic that was mentioned in the description. Nonetheless, the tour was great and packed with information unimaginable to someone who doesn’t have a passion for the three distinct cities.

Our initial booking got cancelled as the tour operator did not have enough people. They booked us three days later. Our guide Roberto was great. The place is just incredible. The tour around amalfi Island was worth every penny. Positano was breathtaking with great cliffs on one side and the sea on the other. Ravello was very beautiful and old charm to the place

This is a packed but very well organized tour of the Amalfi coast with stops in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. As the weather was good, we took the ferry from Positano to Amalfi. We also did the optional boat tour at Amalfi which was really wonderful. All three towns are charming in different ways - Positano is a posh seaside town, Amalfi is bustling and vibrant and Ravello is a charming village in the hills with stunning views. My only minor complaint - they took us all the way down in Positano, only to tell us that all the shopping and interesting places are back up the hill. They should have let us wander and said - meet at the bottom of the hill in one and half hours or something like that.

This was an extraordinary tour. But our guide Lucio was beyond extraordinary. He was unbeatable! The itinerary took us by bus from Naples to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Throughout the trip, Lucio informed and entertained us, creating a true camaraderie among the group. As well as educating and amusing us, Lucio was a master at the logistics—no small thing. He suggested options for our free time in each town, and we all understood where to go and when to meet up again. We learned so much and had so much fun! Lucio is the best⏤a great person and a great guide!

The Amalfi Coast tour was very good. Our tour guide was organized & well prepared. She was also very friendly & provided historical references as well as pop culture anecdotes about the Amalfi Coast. Our driver provided safe transport & I felt very comfortable as we drove along the very steep Amalfi Coast. My only complaint is that we didn’t have enough time to explore Ravello. In this beautiful hidden gem town we were given only 50
minutes to explore. There was so much to see including a historic castle but with only 50 minutes on the clock there was only time for a quick restroom break & gelato. I recommend extending the trip by 90 minutes so there will be more time for Ravello & maybe a little more time in Positano b/c our time there was also disappointingly brief. I would recommend this day trip.

This was a wonderful day in a gorgeous place. Our guide for the day Angela, was very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic, whilst showing us the beautiful coastline of Positano and Amalfi finishing in the mountain village of Ravello. The trip had the right balance of guided tour and free time and lasted approximately eight hours. The bus was air conditioned and brilliantly driven. This might be a difficult day for anyone with mobility issues, that said, I've got COPD, asthma and two dodgey knees and it was okay.
So to sum it up and having used Viator before in other countries, they are, professional, reliable, organised and good value for money. So, just do it, book it, life is too short no to.

BRAVA! Guide well informed us of sights. Tour allowed for enough time to exprlore the towns on own. Boat ride, extra charge in Almafi, do it! Only downside was no seat belt for my seat on bus, I asked them and said needed to be fixed. So check your seat for one, front seat left side aisle right vehicle driver. These cities on this tour are are stunning!

There is a lot of walking and stair to climb. having had knee surgery earlier this year, it was very difficult for me to navigate all the uphill terrain.
However, I thoroughly enjoyed the tours in spite of the difficulty in keeping up.

If you are on a cruise, do not plan on taking this tour as the tour guide informed us we would never make it back to the ship on time. It should’ve been Vito’s responsibility to do so. I’ve canceled all my other tours with them due to this fact

Had a great experience on this tour. Had a lot of time to explore and swim in Amalfi. The bus ride was fun with beautiful sceneries and Loona our guide explaining each important point on the way. The guide Loona has great knowledge of history of Italy in general and has good humor. She was also very communicative in coordinating the start of the tour to the finish. Thank you, Loona. We had some bad luck with this tour. First we were caught in a big traffic back up in the tunnel due to an accident. This prevented us from having much time in our first stop. The tour guide could have used that time to give us more information but was not the case. So the trip was somewhat boring compared to our previous tour guides who made it fun. To top off the experience our bus’ AC was not working on the way back. The people in the back of the bus were miserable and very hot!! Overall disappointing experience. I understand the accident and the AC issue was out of their control.

Avoid This Company – We Were Left Behind and Had to Pay $455 to Return
We booked an excursion in May 2025 for our family, costing $480. Despite telling the guide what time we had to be back, she told us after arriving at our first stop that we would be back late and needed to leave. The company left without us. We were stranded and had to pay $455 for a private taxi just to get back to our cruise port before departure.
We contacted the company immediately and provided all documentation — including receipts and a clear timeline. After multiple attempts to resolve this, they offered us just $48 as a goodwill refund — only 10% of what we paid.
This was not only financially burdensome, but incredibly stressful. We were shocked by their lack of accountability and inadequate customer service. I would strongly caution others against booking with them, especially if you're relying on their punctuality and professionalism for cruise-based excursions.
The tour we booked was also an English speaking tour. Our guide spoke Italian 90% of the time which was extremely frustrating.

We include this notice because unforeseen circumstances can make it difficult to guarantee a timely return to the port for cruise departures. As soon as your guide learned you were a cruise passenger, she advised that continuing the tour would likely mean you'd miss your ship. This was an attempt to prevent the very situation you unfortunately experienced.
Regarding your comment about the guide speaking Italian 90% of the time, the tour you booked was English-only, not bilingual. We assume you might be referring to conversations between the guide and the driver, which would naturally be in their native language.
We genuinely apologize for the distress and financial burden this situation caused. We hope this explanation clarifies our policy regarding cruise passengers on shared tours.

It’s always been a dream of mine to see the Amalfi Coast! Not only did I see the area via this trip, I sat down at a an adorable restaurant and enjoyed a glass of wine and some excellent pasta - aka Italian soul food!!
