Tale of 3 cities.

This tour was absolutely fabulous! For someone like me who is only in Madrid for a very short period of time , this was a great way to spend the day visiting and learning about three historic towns all in one day. The tour is 12 to 13 hours in which 5 hours of those are on a bus and the rest of the tour is mainly walking. Therefore, I don't recommend this tour for anybody who has trouble with walking for long periods of time. Our tour guide, Enrique, was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and all the historic facts of the sites, but also new intricate details of not only the major attractions but smaller random sites. He was very personable and was able to answer everyone's questions. He was very funny especially when giving us detailed stories of historical myths. He gave great recommendations for food, coffee, souvenirs and gifts, and local specialties. I will say that I don't think it's worth getting the lunch portion of the tour because it takes up quite a bit of the free time that we had to be able to explore the city on our own. There are multiple places to eat from sit down to fast food , so if you want to be able to go around the city a little bit more on your own I would not get the lunch part of the trip. The Bluetooth earpiece was a great way for large groups to be able to communicate and listen to the tour guide, but for some people that might be bothersome. I highly highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour but the group is large

Sorenta was our guide and wow she’s fabulous. Not sure how many languages she speaks but at least 4. Fluently and without pause or hesitation. This tour is run by “Fun & Tickets”. Well over 40 guests. The bus was packed. The narration by Sorenta is first given in Spanish and then in English. There were guests who spoke other languages and Sorenta would speak to them separately. How she did this for 8 hours, calmly and pleasantly, all whilst herding this massive group through the narrow streets of Toledo, into and out of several amazing stops-is beyond my comprehension. Due to the large group and the number of languages spoken, it was not easy to ask questions since the tour needed to flow, keep moving. But when there were breaks for lunch or exploration, you could ask Sorenta individually and she was always happy to answer them. Toledo is a stunning place with so much history. I would not have wanted to have done this on our own-no way would we have understood what we saw without Sorenta’s expertise. Her knowledge base is staggering! However, the size of the group, the dual language narration and what that entails-meaning lots of time listening to a language you do not understand i- a small group English speaking tour(or whatever your native language is) may be more in order.

The tour to both places...

The tour to both places was great. We would've liked more time in Avila but, understand the time constraints of visiting both cities in one day. If you're not bilingual, go with the English only tour. Our guide Angie was great but, very hard to understand in English through the earbud. She really knew her stuff but, I could understand her better by standing close to her listening without the earbud.

Great tour with Abdul!

Abdul was spectacular!! A bike tour of a busy city like Madrid isn’t always easy—you have to be pretty alert and comfortable on an e-bike to really keep up. But Abdul did a great job of navigating a group of around 15 through the busiest parts of the city while still being super informative. This was one of the first things we did in Madrid, and it was helpful to get a quick view of everything in the city center so we knew what to come back to later. It lasted just over 3 hours. While the e-bike helped a lot, we still were pretty tired by the end, which made us feel pretty drained for the rest of our day in Madrid. So keep that in mind while planning your day! Overall great experience, and we appreciate Abdul!

El Escorial tour wirh David, the BEST!

Great experience! Our tour bus driver,German was courteous and we enjoyed the drive out to El Escorial from Madrid. The tour guide David, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, spent enough time without rushing, allowing us time to enjoy each section. He spoke extensively on history of Spain , it's rulers.. He made a concentrated effort to stay pretty neutral regarding politics. He was very conscious of allowing us "bathroom breaks ', and even a stop at the gift shop ,which was very appreciated. I was in Madrid during Oct 12, a national holiday, and my reservation to the Royal Palace was canceled at the last minute. David helped me secure a semi-private tour the following day thru his tour company. Hope you're lucky enough to have David as your guide. Don't miss this tour to El Escorial, it's a once in a lifetime experience.

Wonderful tour to Toledo!

Great and very informative tour. Enjoyed walking around Toledo and learn the history of this beautiful town. Alexandra, our tour guide was excellent. She was so good about making sure that the English speaking visitors heard the same stories. Really liked that Alexandra was always looking out to make sure that all of her tour were accounted for.

This is the best tour I have taken out of Madrid!! Enrique was a wonderful tour guide and very knowledgeable about the wineries we visited. I was lucky to be with a great group of people (3 from my home town in the US)! The wineries were excellent and very interesting. Small family owned and a lot of history. I would highly recommend this tour!!

We had a great time on the tour! Ismael was informative, patient, kind guide! I so enjoyed all the different wineries - It was three very different vibes at each winery which was so nice to have in a short trip to a region. I would do it again and again! We went with a group of couples and a solo traveler and had the BEST time. Tasted amazing and unique wines and learned about some unique history and wine making techniques!

Carolina was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever encountered - from the initial contact to the very last second! We saw everything from historic buildings to parks, cathedrals, markets, shops, and statues. The detail with which Carolina described everything was inspiring. We were able to decide where and what we wanted to see and even got many recommendations for where to eat, shop, and kick back. It was the best way to see as much of Madrid history and get a taste in one day.
