Our greatest day in Spain. Andres was our fabulous guide and we had the most enjoyable tour, even with the colder tempatures, the light crowds and personal guide throughout Avila and Segovia was the best experience. Worth the extra money for us to have such an excellent informative personal guide. We got to see and learn a lot and spent 9 hours from Madrid visiting Avila and Segovia with plenty of time at each location. Exactlly what we had hoped and more.

We booked a private day tour to visit the towns of Avila and Segovia, and it was truly an excellent experience. Our guide Andres picked us up directly from our hotel and even provided bottled water for the trip. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the history and culture of both towns.
What impressed us most was the extra care he took after learning that I had an ankle injury. He adjusted the route to avoid difficult paths and chose areas with fewer steps, making the entire tour comfortable and enjoyable. His thoughtfulness and attention to detail made a big difference.
Overall, we had a wonderful day and highly recommend this tour and guide!

Great day in Avila and Segovia with Andreas F. He’s very personable, communicative, knowledgeable, and knows the region thoroughly. As he is also the driver he dropped us off at the front of several sites then parked the car and met us as we exited. Worked well for us. He also made lunch reservations for us in Segovia.

We had a great private tour experience with Andres visiting the beautiful historic cities of Segovia and Ávila. He was waiting for us at our hotel on time, had a new van with moon roof for panoramic view, was very knowledgeable of the areas talking about many interesting facts/highlights, and made for a great whole day tour. Well worth the money spent vs a group tour.

Andres our guide was waiting for us at our hotel in the morning. Very clean newer vehicle which was very comfortable. He knows a lot about Madrid the surrounding areas and where we were going.
Felt like we were touring with a very knowledgeable friend he was easy to talk to with and added great value.
Not a cheap tour but well worth the money. Felt like we received a thoughtful tour and got to know these two amazing cities.
Had considered another tour that also went to Toledo in one day. Glad we didn’t as this was a long day just seeing the two cities. Would have been too much.
Would highly recommend this tour and Andres as a guide.

Andres was a wonderful guide. We enjoyed the sites and historical perspectives of both Segovia & Avila. The transportation was comfortable and clean. We would have preferred a more charming lunch option. (Perhaps a list of restaurants to peruse ahead of time).

A private full day guide is not inexpensive, but Andres made it worth every penny! Andres had great local knowledge of Segovia & Avila, told interesting stories, and made getting to/from the important sites very efficient & easy. Most importantly, Andres is really nice person.

For the price we paid and the private tour that this is advertised as, this was a let-down. The tour guide drove us to the points of interests, and (1) at some outdoor locations didn't bother to walk us the few steps there, he just said "there it is, go" and we had to climb few steps to take pictures on our own; (2) for every historical sites like castles and churches, we were on our own, ie no guided tours whatsoever; (3) very rushed throughout.
It is very hard to put the whole experience in words but I would say the lack of warmth and doing the bare minimum. It felt like our tour guid had to deal with our group and he did it to get it done, that's it. Compared this to some of the other private tours on Viator on this same trip to Spain, where the tour guide was very friendly and quietly adjusted the tour to fit our group to make the whole experience seamless, this tour was a let-down.

Dear Roger, I have not guest with this name in the last weeks so I can not find the booking under your mail to check the feedback from your host. I am sorry if we did not meet your expectations, as you can read in the product description, a licensed guide is not included in the tour, a requirement if you want to have explanations inside the monuments, he explain outside and take you to see the most important locations what he did as far as I read. as for the rush, this tour run more than 300km with stops in 8h and unfortunately can not spend too much time on every site otherwise you will not be able to see the most important monuments of both cities. I also message all the clients before the booking with the information of the pick up time, the host name and phone number and ask if you have questions or specific needs to contact us so we can always adjust the tour to meet your needs. If you travel again to Madrid, please drop us a message as I am very sure we can offer you a good experience. Best regards.

This was such an incredible way to experience Avila and Segovia. We could not have seen and done all we did by ourselves without a car or as part of a big tour group. The intimate private approach while more expensive is worth every penny. And Martin, our tour guide and driver was exceptional. He helped to make this the absolute perfect day.

We loved spending our day with our guide, Andres. He gave us options on how and what we wanted to see, and was very accommodating. He really knows the history of the areas he took us too, and we learned a lot. We would definitely recommend this tour. The first mistake I made was booking on a Sunday, but this did not matter, we only missed one small site. So I started with an oops but that's was it, this was a fantastic experience. we had a group of six and our guide was wonderful. He allowed us to explore and gave us time to see things we wanted to see. He was also very knowledgeable as I have found with all of our guides in Spain. We learned so much and enjoyed every site we saw. While we were running a little over time he never once hurried us, telling our group that it was important to enjoy our experience. I recommend this one for everyone that who like some privacy and wants to learn about history.
