Paulo was excellent on our tour! It was quite a leisure walk, with some inclines but nothing too strenuous. Lovely views! Definitely bring waterproof shoes as the tunnels are quite wet.

Bring proper waterproof walking shoes. The walk was relatively flat but be prepared to climb steep steps

Our guide was an erratic driver and was swerving while driving many times. We asked him to watch the road as we were close to oncoming traffic and hitting guard rails. He also didn’t notify us prior to arriving at the start of the hike that the tunnel had 6 inches of water in it and that we were all going to get completely soaked. If we had that information before leaving our resort, we would have worn different clothing/shoes.

A zona do Rabaçal é um ambiente natural e as condições, como o nível da água no túnel, podem mudar rapidamente consoante a chuva. Embora procuremos sempre fornecer as melhores informações possíveis, alguns elementos estão fora do nosso controlo.

This comment is not true, the guide was waiting for 35 minutes at the hotel, but you were waiting at a different hotel, and we were not informed, as you did not say anything, the guide ended up leaving.

A great walk in the Levada to the 25 Fontes. Our guide, Pedro, was knowledgeable about plants, birds and the history of the Levadas. We stopped on the way for coffee at a lovely local cafe. We had an exciting walk through a 1km tunnel, which needed a torch. It was a moderate walk- mostly flat but with some steps to climb. A great experience. Would recommend.

Amazing views of both the 25 fountains waterfall and Risco waterfall- the later was a real highlight of our holiday. Our guide, Pedro was great and shared his knowledge about the local area and plants in an engaging way. The pace was good for a mix of abilities. The only part I did not enjoy was going though a dark and wet tunnel for 1km- walking boots/shoes and a torch are essential!

I had a fantastic time on the hike with our guide. He picked us up from our accommodation which was convenient and very kindly dropped us off on the centre Funchal after the hike. His knowledge of the hiking trails, Madeira and the forest is great and I felt very safe exploring the forest with him - as someone who is not very good with directions. The picture spots and views were very impressive and the hike was definitely manageable for beginners. On the way back from the main viewpoint of the hike, we had the option of different routes and difficulties to choose from which was nice to have the flexibility.

We were thrilled to join this trip! Our guide, Pedro, was exceptional—very professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the island, its flora, fauna, and history. He was attentive to each member of the group, adjusting the pace to suit everyone. While we would have preferred to start a bit earlier to avoid the trail getting busy, we highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Madeira.

It's a great walk if a little busy at points, Pedro was our guide and he was great, pointing out a lot of the nature around. It's not too challenging with only a few small uphill sections.

We enjoyed going with a small group of 6 with our fantastic guide, Luis Fernandes. We were surrounded by nature and could appreciate the sights, sounds, and smells of this fabulous natural spot in a way that would not have been possible with a bigger tour group. Luis gave us a lot of useful info on the landscapes and plants we were viewing. I wouldn’t do Rabaçal any other way!

Nice walk and the pace was fine - relaxed for people used to hiking. Seeing the levada network was really interesting and the path was well maintained and sign posted. Mainly easy flat but some steps and the guide took us off piste up a steep bank. The guide didn’t provide much information and was not very talkative. I’d have been as happy saving the money and doing the walk ourselves unguided.

The guide gave excellent information about the walk and the island, but sometimes you didn't want to hear the guide's information, and you were going to take pictures, the guide thought you didn't want to know too much information, and you wanted to stay in your space . I hope that you will be able to enjoy the walk and the information from our guide as much as the other clients do next time.

I had booked this trip for a Saturday. Unfortunately this was postponed to Sunday, not sure of the reason. I confoed Sunday was OK for us as well, but then on Saturday evening I saw an email saying I had a refund. No explanation as to why the tour was cancelled. I understand things are difficult and plans can change at the last minute, but the communication about my trip was not good enough.

In einer kleinen Gruppe (8 Personen) durften wir in die etwas mystisch anmutende Natur um die Wasserfälle und Levadas eintauchen. Wir erfuhren sehr viel Interessantes über die Geschichte der Levadas (bis in die heutige Zeit), die Lorbeer- und Eukalyptuswälder, seltene Planzen und das Highlight die Wasserfälle. Vielen lieben Dank an unseren Guide Tiago. Seine Begeistetung für die Natur färbt auf uns ab. Wir sahen die Natur dank Tiagos fachkundigen Informationen mit anderen Augen. Auch war ihm unsere Sicherheit stets wichtig ( "headwarning"). Zum Schluss war der Abstecher in eine kleine Poncha-Bar eine tolle Abrundung einer wirklich gelungenen Tour. Nochmals lieben Dank an Tiago, auch für das schöne Kurzvideo von uns vor den Wasserfällen.

Luis unser Guide hat uns wirklich ein einmaliges Erlebnis geschaffen. Wahnsinnige Bilder konnten wir aufnehmen und vieles neues erfahren. Wir würden diesen Trip immer wieder machen.
Ein Rat von uns gute Schuhe und Essen, Trinken und eine Jacke solltet ihr mitnehmen.
