A great way to experience the peace within Finland’s nature

This was one of the best experiences we had in a month of travelling in Europe. It was fantastic to see a little of the Finnish forests with the late late summer sunsets. Peter was a terrific guide, giving us lots of info on Finnish people’s and culture and happily answering all our questions. He has a great sense of humour that matched our Australian sarcasm. The campfire dinner was tasty and very efficient even with the characteristic Finnish drizzle at times. He was very enthusiastic in finding us Moose afterwards. In the end we had great sightings of 8 Moose, some Deer and a huge Hare. We were never rushed and enjoyed the time viewing the Moose. It was a late night but soo much fun. The best part thought was just experiencing the peace of the Finnish forests. It makes us want to come back and spend a lot more time in Finland but away from Helsinki. Thank you.

Absolutely flawless from beginning to end. Pick up from the hotel was on time and the driver came into the port and showed us how to get our boarding cards. Then we were met as soon as we exited the ship in Tallin and our tour guide was so friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. We didn't feel rushed at any stage. Pick up to return to Tallin port was again on time and we were met back in Helsinki and taken to our hotel. Our tour group was small (7 including ourselves) and we all got on really well. Ed our guide was brilliant. He took us to places we would not have even thought of including the Oodie library which was such an eye opener and what all libraries should be. Good day trip to see a beautiful old town!

The ferry is a very unique experience if you haven't been on a huge cruise liner before, but it gets boring after a while so bring something to keep you occupied for the entire duration (5h to and fro). Once we were in Tallinn, our guide Sergei was extremely knowledgeable, jovial and in general, made the 2 hour walking tour a very enjoyable and engaging experience. We had free time from 2:30 PM to 4:55 PM. If you are quick to have lunch and get some souvenirs, you will still have over an hour available which you will need to kill some way. Be prepared.

A Great Day Out in the Woods

This tour is a great way to see the Finnish forest on a day hike from Helsinki. The hike was of moderate difficulty and length, no big hills. It’s safe. The landscape is beautiful and Patricia’s love for it is infectious. I learned a lot of forest lore and we cut and split our own wood to make a fire. The food at lunch was authentically Finnish, and we drank from wooden kuksas. Yes, do keep the salt licorice as part of the dessert. I really had a good time and was very glad to have met Patricia. I think anyone who wants to learn more about Finland will enjoy this hike too.

10 hour Aurora hunt into Swedish Lapland!

The trip was PERFECT! we were very disappointed our first trip with another company was cancelled the day before, booked the small group trip with Lapin Tavias. And was loosing hope becuase of severe cloud cover, our guide Rasa drove us all the way into Swedish Lapland to find a clear sky! And when the Aurora arrived it was amazing! Even my iPhone camera was able to pick up the lights! Rasa took incredible photos and was brilliant. His enthusiasm for chasing the lights was infectious. And true to their promise, our 10 hour round trip was worth every minute. On the way back Rasa detected another aurora explosion and he stopped and got all of us to have another set of photos. The hot drink and sandwich was a lovely touch. The company had excellent communication from booking to WhatsApp message of the pick up times, drivers name and photo links.
