Was not provider warm clothes inspite of we booked a tour which charged aporox 5000rs pp for warm clothes only.
No hunting was done,we were just taken beside a lake and whatever little view we got we had to satisfy with that only.

We had to go all the way to Sweden to see the lights but our guide knew what he was doing and tried so hard to find them and did. Were rewarded with a nice show and he took some really great photos. Only downside was that we got stuck in a ditch coming back requiring assistance to be pulled out. This made it a long tour, not returning back till 9am. Probably just need some better policies to help when something like this happens.

Being on a small group northern lights tour was great! We were able to get to a spot that bigger busses could not access. Our guide, Paul, took so many photos of everybody and was really enthusiastic! His energy was contagious! The aurora we saw was amazing!!

We had our tour with Ali, who was exceptional. Ali, lived and breathed Aurora hunting, as he was determined to find an Aurora on an Aurora-less night. We found the Aurora 3.5hrs in, and then Ali was determined to get the big one. Ali even arranged to meet up with a bigger tour bus to provide bathroom facilities for my wife. Positive:- if you don’t see the northern lights they offer rescheduled or a full refund back.
Negative:- drive for 6 hours in total in uncomfortable vehicle and end up sitting in a car waiting. Not a comfortable car experience and ended up driving more than actually seeing anything outside. Sat in the wrong direction in the transport so not good for someone with travel sickness.

A quick briefing from our guide/driver let us know that we could be out for a long time due to the cloudy snowy weather, we drove quickly north and with his knowledge and tech we pulled into a layby and the lights were right above us! He was more disappointed than we were that there was another minibus there and so we drove a bit further, and saw them again from a deserted frozen lake, an amazingly beautiful place to be. Quick pitstop to use a loo and then we headed back, a great trip.

What an absolutely stunning experience! All throughout the day we were seeing predictions of high cloud cover, low solar activity so we started the tour with a heavy heart. But within an hour of driving we saw the most beautiful aurora spread out throughout the sky and dancing!
The experience was made even better by Edward’s guidance who hunted the best spot for aurora, took fabulous photos with utmost patience and continued to search even after the ‘guarantee’ was met! Book without a second thought for the experience of a lifetime!

Paul was my guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. He did a fantastic job with hunting the lights and keeping the group warm and happy. The only critique I have is that the quality of the photos were not that great.

We had an incredible experience on this Northern Lights tour. Our guide, Sofian, was fantastic, knowledgeable, calm, and clearly very experienced at reading the conditions and knowing where to go.
At the start, he explained that if needed we might have to drive all the way to northern Sweden and potentially be out very late, which we really appreciated for setting honest expectations and the tour messaged us the morning of to let us know of an earlier departure due to the long drive. In the end, the clouds cooperated and we were able to see amazing auroras about 40 minutes northwest of Rovaniemi, without needing to go that far and Sofian was constantly watching the sky and adjusting plans in real time.
The group was small (just eight of us), which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and easy, and Sofian was always willing to stop anywhere he spotted lights, making sure we hurried out to see them at their best. He also took beautiful photos of us under the auroras and delivered them very quickly afterward.
Overall, a well-run tour with a great guide and unforgettable Northern Lights views. Highly recommend!

Make sure you book the unlimited mileage and timeframe PRO TOUR
We had nothing to lose with the unlimited milage and time frames
Our tour guide Paul was exceptional even though he had been with the company since November
His knowledge/eagerness/friendliness & will not to give up the hunt was excellent
Paul picked us up from our accommodation at Santas Igloos at 630 pm & he dropped us back off around 230am
He was able to act on his gut feelings to take us 2 hrs from rovaniemi and when we parked up down dark deserted road the lights were shining bright
We met up with Paul's cousin as he was on a tour also and between them both their professional camera skills were on point to capture priceless moments captured in tym !!
The light show lasted about 1hr 20 mins so we thought that would be the end on the tour however we were wrong
Paul asked if we all ( there was 8 of us ) wanted him to continue looking and thankfully everyone said yes ( as its a majority rules vote ) and within no tym at all we were headed 20 mins back towards rovaniemi again to a big frozen lake where the Northern Lights once again put on a show for over 1 1/2 hrs
Its was so so cold but Paul and his cousin wouldn't leave until we all had had enough of being frozen lol
Usually there is only your tour guide at the location but as Paul's cousin was there too it was awesome to see them smiling and getting a couple of photos under the Lights too ( of course they asked us if we minded right at the end )
all the other people had gone back to the vans ages before we did so we had absolutely no issues saying yes to them taking some photos of each other )

We came to Finland in hopes of seeing (and photographing) the aurora. We booked a small group guaranteed aurora tour (Aurora Hunting Pro Tour). Mirco worked tirelessly to give us an aurora! Weather fought us with bands of clouds and super strong winds. He was constantly watching the sky and thumbing through weather and aurora apps on his phone, checking in with colleagues who were also aurora hunting, and stopping frequently for camera checks of sky/star visibility (his driving was a bit unnerving). It took us 5 hours of driving and we ended up in Sweden, but he found us a great aurora!
Signing in to the office felt a bit frenetic (lots of people in and out with tours, keys, luggage storage, etc.) and the staff were young with a "seasonal job" vibe. But in the end Book Lapland delivered.
I will note that they take buses out for aurora tours. I would be sure you know what tour you are taking before you book.

Such an amazing night, with a passionate guide/team of Aurora hunters. Made sure we got the best of what the night could offer…they didn’t settle for average. They worked as a team to scout, share information and experience to find us the best view possible. And not just the best view but the best photos they could get us…and educating us along the way. The only downside is no availability to go to the toilet for many many hours (almost 7 hours for me). But truly fabulous!

This was a once in a lifetime experience. This obviously based on weather and good guides. In my case had semi good weather in one of a kind guide. Jekke, picked us right on time then guided us thru lapland roads until we saw the Auroras within the first 30 minutes. After that he took us to another breathtaking stop. This was not enough for him, he drove us all the way to Sweden, once we got to the spot to told us to hold on tight because the auroras were on the move. Somehow he knew and at the 30 minute mark the auroras started dancing in the sky. It was a magical experience. While we were waiting in the auroras dance he gave us hot drinks and cookies. Make sure if you book this you get this guy. He is something else, good driver and very passionate about what he does. While we waited he heard stories about people driving 5 to 6 hours and having no luck seeing anything. I couldn't be happier with this, money paid was nothing compared to the experience. This tour was all round amazing. Our guide Mirco was very knowledgeable and friendly. Due to a clear night, he was able to take us to a quiet, open space he knew, and trusted that the lights would make an appearance. We were provided with hot drinks and biscuits during our wait (which was a long, very cold one, make sure to wrap up warm)! Micro lent me his gloves, as I had forgot mine, this was a kind gesture. After a 4 hour + wait, the lights started to make an appearance, and grew stronger and stronger over the hour! An amazing experience I will never forget. I have attached my own iPhone images, I currently downloading the professional images. These also were emailed through very quickly (by the next morning)! Excellent experience with our guide Paul. He made the tour informative and fun whilst driving for over 3 hours with 2 stops to see the best lights. he was willing to continue chasing lights but the other passengers in the vehicle wanted to return. It was really great experience. We had unfortunate experience of trip getting cancelled the previous day but we were so happy about it once we got chance to go with Book-Lapland. Paul was really amazing person. He ensured to pick us timely to avoid any potential miss in aurora spotting. He found really nice spot for us to camp, light fire, have hot drink and enjoy the amazing view of Northern Lights. He had brought his own professional camera and his photo skills are amazing. He beared with us when we took like gazillion photos and multiple poses. The one with lantern was cherry on ice cake. Even while going back after amazing view, he kept checking forcast and kept looking for another spotting. We also stopped midway, checked with camera to check for alternative views.
All n all, it was one of the best experience we had and would definitely recommend to go with Paul.

I’ve seen the Northern Lights before, but this natural show was on a whole other level. The sky came alive with vivid, dancing colors that cascaded and swirled like a celestial performance, matching the intensity of professional photos.
Paul’s passion for what he does made all the difference. Not only did his expertise lead us to the perfect spot, but his photography skills captured the magical display flawlessly.
For me, a tour should last over four hours, offer unlimited miles to chase the best views, and include professional pictures. This tour checked all the boxes—highly recommended!

Although picked up late, this was so much better an aurora tour than others we have taken. The guide was a local and the company only uses locals who know the best spots. Within an hour we were at a viewing spot near a military base and the auroras were spectacular. Unlike many other companies, this aurora tour is pretty much all they do and the locals know where to go for the best viewing. I would recommend to anyone looking for auroras to use only this company. Just wish they all would invest in newer vehicles as with any of the four tours we took during our time in Rovaniemi, the vehicles were pretty beat up.
