Overview
Travel through the snowy Lappish forest like a local—on a snowmobile—on this half-day tour. - The tour will start any time between 08:00 and 16:00. Departure time may vary depending on the seasons and availability, please double-check with the local partner
- At least 2 people are required for this tour to take place on weekdays and Saturdays
- At least 4 people are required for this tour to take place on Sundays and public holidays
- Children under 12 year old must be accompanied by adults paying the full price
- Please be ready and wait in your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time
- Remember to take your driving license (or a copy of it) with you on the day of the trip
- Please be advised the price is per person - twin driving: means that the person has to share the snowmobile
- If the child is 150 cm or taller, he/she can be seated on the snowmobile paying the adult's price
- If the child is lower than 150 cm, he/she can be seated on the sleigh
- If you make your booking for the next day after 11pm, the departure time might possibly be in the afternoon.
- If you make your booking on the same day as your traveling day, the departure time might possibly be in the afternoon.
- Drivers must have valid driving licenses and be at least 18 years old.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 46 travelers

Very fun time even though I got stuck with a vehicle that had a defective throttle, limiting the speed to catch up to others in the group. The guide mentioned ours was the first group not to have any accidents and from the bumpiness of the course, I can easily understand how someone with not enough upper body strength can lose control
Of the snowmobile during the tour. The guides were very good in pre ride instructions and taking pictures and checking frequently that everyone was still together. If you have never driven a snowmobile, try a tour for beginners before taking this one as the course we rode on is very busy and you need to have a good command of the vehicle to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Octavio, the tour guide was EXCELLENT, probably the best one I had among so many tours I take through out the years. I appreciated the focus attention he had on safety. The rest of the team, Hugo & Viky were also very good.

The 1 hour Snowmobile Safari started at 9.40am with pick-up and drop-off did not occur until 4.40pm (7hours for less than 1 hour of driving). We were picked-up by friendly staff and taken into the office (9 minute drive from our accommodation). From there we had to argue to be given the proctive clothes that were promised. An hour later we hoped into the Mini vans and we weren't told until they started driving that the fields were going to be a 1 hour 20 minute drive each way. There were no toliets available to get food or drinks for lunch etc.
The snowmobile ride itself was ok, very slow with a top speed of 35km p/hr reached. Most of the time it was about 12km p/hr. The scenery was beautiful however it took way too long to get there with no notice of the long drive. Would recommend other snowmobile rides closer to Rovaniemi.

The tour was not through a Lappish forest as you’d expect. Most of the tour is going on a path beneath a power line on a very bumpy track. We then do one lap around an empty field and return back on the same path. Time spend on the snowmobiles is no more than 45 minutes. I’ve been on other tours with snowmobiles in Rovaniemi, this was definitely the worst.

Arrived at the meet up place, very confusing and busy no organisation or structure very unsure what was going on. Then when we got to where we was going for the price you pay you don’t get value for money. Around an hours riding if your lucky if it wasn’t so stop start it would probably only be around 25-35 minutes of actual riding. So wouldn’t recommend very expensive

What a great trip with great guides!
Everything explained super clearly and because it was a sizeable group they could place you in either a slow, medium or fast group. They put everyone together at first, see how you get on and then split into small groups of 5-6 snowmobiles. Great for anyone who is nervous to take their time but also great for those who like to go fast so you can really go for it. Fabulous trip!

Was fun to ride , but lots of down time - all up only 20-30 minutes of actual driving. Lots of time waiting for people and it was a big group - I feel like they could of slipt the group in 2. Still fun though

We had never done snowmobiling and didn’t really have any expectations. The tour guides were super nice, the guides English was great, and riding was fun and beautiful. We will definitely do this same tour again next time we are up there.

It was a great trip though the Lappish forest though a little bumpy and fast. But it was thrilling. However passengers in the sled were bounced around as the driver went really fast and some of the little ones were scared.

It was great way to escape city and indulge in nature. As we were first time using snowmobiles we didn’t go too fast. However I think I heard it’s different if you already tried before.
What I didn’t like is most of path was frozen or not enough snow. I expected that we would be take on open area to drive a bit alone.

A must booked experience! Went with my partner ages 23-24 and we had an amazing time. Shared a snowmobile which was perfect, plenty of opportunities to swap over and take turns, the track is really long takes and you deep into the wilderness. Aprox 1 hour driving time which is more than enough. Loads of photo opportunities as well and really friendly tour operators. Highly recommend, best sport/trip we’ve done around the world for sure.

Excellent excursion, we would highly recommend! The snowmobiles are incredibly fun and is such a great way to experience the Finnish forest. Felt like a unique excursion, as well. Our guide, Jordi, is the quintessential tour guide - super friendly and knowledgeable! He was helpful on the tour and provided tons of excellent, local recommendations for restaurants and activities. All and all, one of our favorite excursions ever!

Guides were absolutely lovely. All the children were placed in a sleigh with a guide,. When we booked we thought the sleigh was pulled by us. They were absolutely freezing. Snowmobile overall was far too slow, due to other drivers. The return bus was delayed over 20 mins and we all just waited freezing and children wailing. Not really worth the money

The track was in a very poor condition. Thousands of bumps from previous rides made the trip not nice at all. Kids on the sledges were almost jumping out and crying. The speed was low (max 40km/h). Large group of people (more than 15 snow mobiles) made that we were stopping very often.

Loved the actual snowmobiling through the forest. We were able to ride for a good couple of hours. Bumpy track added to the enjoyment! Only thing didn’t enjoy was the chaos at the office….so many people and left quite late. The guides were very patient with us novices. Thank you
