Eco-cruise on Lake Saimaa

My friend and I had a lovely evening on Lake Saimaa in Arto's eco-boat. Arto was a wonderful tour guide and I learnt a lot about Lake Saimaa and the Saimaa ringed seals, which was completely new to me. It was really nice that the group was small and that there were lots of opportunities to ask questions. I would highly recommend this cruise.

No seals but beautiful landscape

We did not see any seals, despite the fact, that conditions were almost ideal: early June, sunny weather. The main reason for that failure is probably the nature of the boat- it is a slow Eco-Boat with a small range such that we were looking for the seals at only one spot where usually only two seals live. The guide was nice and knowledgeable. The landscape was really beautiful.
