Enjoy a one-of-a-kind perspective on Maine’s picture-perfect sunsets on this early-evening sailing tour. Departing from the scenic Camden Harbor, travel aboard a large, elegant windjammer that was built according to traditional methods. Sail past Curtis Island Light, admire Mt. Battie, and take in the ruggedly beautiful coastal scenery. En route, spot wildlife, enjoy drinks on board (available for purchase), and toast to the sunset.

This isn’t a typical boat tour—it’s a hands-on Maine lobster fishing experience rooted in real working-waterfront traditions. Choose from three ways to experience it: Lobster Fishing Only — NO MEAL INCLUDED Head onto Penobscot Bay and haul real lobster traps while learning the tools, techniques and traditions of Maine’s iconic fishery. See what comes up—lobsters, crabs and the occasional surprise. Lobster Fishing + Feast Enjoy the full hands-on fishing experience, then step ashore for a VIP stop at Young’s Lobster Pound and a classic Maine lobster feast. From trap to table, this is the real thing. The Ultimate Maine Experience — Lobster Feast + Sunset Cruise Haul real traps, feast at Young’s, then head back onto the bay and cruise into a spectacular Maine sunset. Lobsters, feast and sunset—all in one unforgettable experience. Whichever you choose, expect small groups, real participation, local knowledge and a genuine taste of Maine’s working waterfront.

What sets this experience apart is its simplicity, timing, and sense of place. This isn’t a busy sightseeing tour—it’s a small-group, early-morning experience designed around the calmest, most beautiful time of day on Penobscot Bay. With a maximum of six guests, the atmosphere stays personal and unhurried. You’re not following a script or rushing between stops—just easing into the day on the water as the coast quietly comes to life around you. Traveling on a classic wooden lobster boat adds to the authenticity, offering a true connection to Maine’s working waterfront. Fresh coffee and breakfast are served on board, turning the experience into something more than a cruise—it’s a moment. It’s the kind of start to the day that feels simple, but stays with you long after.

Cruise Camden’s scenic coast aboard the Appledore II, a historic wooden schooner that's a thrilling taste of traditional Maine sailing. You can take the helm, raise the sails, or just find a comfortable spot on deck; an environmentally-friendly alternative to motorized Camden cruises, this sailing tour is a great way to explore the coast with just the sounds of the wind, sails, and sea to keep you company.

Small groups of up to six. Two staff members to take care of you. Cushioned seating for all. Fastest boat in the harbor

What sets this experience apart is the combination of intimacy, access, and authenticity. With a maximum of six guests, this is not a crowded tour but a personal, small-group experience where the pace is unhurried and the focus is on enjoying the moment. You’ll cruise on a classic wooden lobster boat, giving you a true sense of Maine’s working waterfront—not a generic sightseeing vessel. The experience is flexible, shaped around your group, the conditions, and what feels right on the day. The highlight is a VIP dockside stop at Young’s Lobster Pound. Arriving by boat, you’ll step ashore away from the crowds, enjoy a live lobster demonstration, and pick up one of their iconic lobster rolls before heading back out onto the water to enjoy it.
