What are people saying about Berlin

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
It’s a very moving experience to walk the grounds where so many men lost their lives. Only a few of the original buildings remain and holocaust deniers have tried to eradicate these. The bus ride to the camp from Berlin is about 50 minutes, and we had about 2 hours for the actual tour. There are long stretches to walk between sites, but the ground is level. The importance of this tour is that it shows the horrific aftermath of what starts as small discriminations and curtails of freedom that go unchecked.

Great tour and exercise
Our tour guide was excellent and took us on a 3.5-hour-long trek around Berlin. My friend and I loved seeing the sights and hearing the stories of the past. We particularly liked the time spent at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Be warned, though, that this is a LONG tour with lots of walking. There are very limited opportunities to sit down or take a break. Our tour guide did give us a 10-minute break about 2 hours in for bathrooms, water, and snacks. Know that on this walking tour you don't spend any time in any of the sights (ex. you don't enter Berliner Dom or go into the Topography of Terror). Would recommend for those of apporpiate fitness levels

The tour was fantastic!...
The tour was fantastic! Our group was quick to start bonding which made the experience more memorable, conversing and trying new foods with new people. Our guide Dania was incredible - not only explaining the foods, but also giving the history of certain landmarks. Would recommend!

Sachenhausen tour
Very informative. Be prepared for a fairly long walk to and from the train station. All part of the experience but can be tiring on a hot day. Tour gives a lot of information but can feel quite rushed at times which is necessary to get through everything. Stay behind afterwards if you want to go back and read up on more information. Nickolai was a very personable guide. Very informative and made it very interesting. It was our second tour with him, he had led our walking tour on a previous visit and we were very happy to see him again.

Berlin tours are as eclectic as the city itself. History buffs can spend hours pondering the World War II and Cold War museums and monuments, take a walking tour of the Berlin Wall, or visit Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. Once you’ve uncovered the city’s past, it’s time to discover the delights of modern-day Berlin—explore the neighborhoods, tuck into street food, or go bar-hopping. Expert-led tours are also a great way to pack in all the sights, whether you choose a classic hop-on hop-off bus or river cruise, or add a fun twist and see Berlin by bike, Segway, rickshaw, or mini hotrod.
